52 wk lows and highs

- the first one is d most important
- the first one is never the last one
- the last one is quite elusive
- they are both late indicators in TA , unpunctual for trend identification purposes
- however they confirm an ''existing'' trend
- they never make sense
- they can or ''will '' likely go further than u can ever expect

I don't use it o grin

I just hold until I'm in profit. I continue to chop dividends.

That's why I need the dividend yield to be quite reasonable grin. It's a backup. So no panic.

In times like this, it's better to set some criteria that will serve as a guideline or your entry trigger, for different stocks you intend to buy.

For example, I intend to buy my first batch of Zenith when it gives me 15% dividend yield, which is around 18 naira. This is a good safety margin for me. And I'll continue to average down at intervals if the fall continues.

However, I use other gauges which may actually make me enter at plus or minus 18, such as trading momentum, day of the week, etc. For instance, if Zenith gets to 18 on Thursday, I may not buy, because Friday is often more bearish (especially during bear period) and I may have a chance to get it for 17.50 or less on Friday smiley.

Just sharing....not a recommendation.
nice share
where is ur stop loss ? or u dont need one ?

Have Patience

Excerpt:

• Patience to wait for just the right set up
• Discipline to sit on the sidelines and not getting pulled into a trade that does not fully satisfy my requirements
• Discipline to pull the trigger when the right trade comes along
• Discipline to remain detached from open positions and properly manage each trade according to trade management guidelines developed over decades of market speculation
• Patience to allow a position with a substantial profit potential the room and time to bear full fruit

WAITING FOR ELECTION TO BUY - Does it worth the waiting?

I tried to make any summary out these 3 scenarios but data is too small, however, a common factor are:
-Market rallies in the election month
-Market dips after president sworn-in and lasted for at least throughout that year

With the elections now coming in February, what do we expect huh

grin grin grin grin grin
a dip below 30k levels !

Banking Index
- 35% off the top daz a bearish trend in TA terms ohh, so we expect more lower lows and lower highs
- weekly RSi breaking into oversold levels dis week at 28.5
- wen ''wkly'' RSI breaks back above 30 , expect a '' light '' bounce before continuation of down trend (agba and co mentioned this)
(trading it is another matter, risk-reward is skewed against person)
- d problem with this bearish trends is the overhead supply keeps piling up, meaning every recent entry is likely out of position
- d further out of position ur entry , d more complicated your holding power and objectivity umm

recom
- don't over complicate d matter !
