onegentleguy: Great advise @ Agba.
@ STOjo pls look NO further. ...for herein is the best advise to implement given ur case. That said, I'll also ask that u concentrate on working on the part in bold.
In the stock market, what u LEARN from failing is even MORE IMPORTANT than the failures themselves !!

Weekend meditation
(know dis) One of the principal reasons so many successful people have failed miserably at trading is that their success is partly attributable to their superior ability to manipulate and control the social environment, to respond to what they want. To some degree, all of us have learned or developed techniques to make the external environment conform to our mental (interior) environment. The problem is that none of these techniques work with the market. – Mark Douglas
(understand this) The typical trader doesn’t predefine his risk, cut his losses, or systematically take profits because the typical trader doesn’t believe it’s necessary. The only reason why he would believe it isn’t necessary is that he believes he already knows what’s going to happen next, based on what he perceives is happening in any given “now moment.” – Mark Douglas
(do this) Trading rule 1: Predefine what a loss is in every potential trade. Trading rule 2: Execute your losing trades immediately upon perception that they exist. By predefining and cutting your losses short, you are making yourself available to learn the best possible way to let your profits grow. – Mark Douglas

Mcy56: Dear, the question you asked is beyond me as per say na student I be. I would say throw it to the house so you can get diverse opinion. For me, I would say dont sell it if not in urgent need of cash cos the loss would be massive, chopping half of your capital. You see, you dont have to discard most of the bear shoutings here, and especially when you actually see stock prices retracing. It is well. Na little I fit talk be that from the notes I jot down, I no fit read now cos na weekend we dey. Over to my bosses. i remain a students with you sha .. |

Bezzle: A very Good afternoon to Everyone in the house. I would like to commend every contributor on this forum. Amazing work you are all doing. I've been following this thread since 2005 (perhaps even earlier sef not sure now) but from the days of Dexter, CP, Mercylicious, BigAss, MyJoy etc and have gathered tremendous amount of knowledge; so much that if I had to pay for I wouldn't be able to afford. Many Thanks again. God bless your generous hearts. I have immense respect for fxuser, OGG, wanajo, oga Emma and CP - Such invaluable assets you are. Hyness and parisfran are also such commendable women.
@ DeRuggedProf pls are you Dexter? If you're not you sure do sound like him
Also pls what's your advice on FO. Bought at 57 or thereabout; selling now is just real gbese. I'm trying not to frek out but mhen! Advice from anyone pls. Many thanks in advance my brother . . we hv all been here before. - You need to let it go (also emotionally ) - be at peace and accept dat it was a bad trade, it cud hv been a good trade also - Every loss is just an experience on your way to been better - Improve on cutting losses short without hesitation (takes time to get this) - Think in probabilities always (read Mark douglas, soak it , digest it) - Accept that every trade has a random outcome - Review d trade , learn from it well , improve risk mgt, u'll make it all back and more . this is nt popular cos it's not easy, some will say keep it forever or till next yr or forget about it till it break even or keep it as a ''long term investment '' hehehe .. tis well |

In a situation like dz, the best bet is to sell 50%, keep d money and buy back at. sub N5 in nov/Dec... Then recoup your loss in June when Foreign raiders will bring back there portfolio to the NSE d problem with d trade plenty pass dis solution |
