crusufixo: If we can have this sort of rapid military responce to matters outside the shores of nigeria, then what in God's name is stopping them from doing same with boko haram thats threatening the peace of nigeria. If only this kind of responce was implimented on boko haram, these terrorist would have being a thing of the past.!!!!!!
thats is because boko haram uses 'hit and run tactics in civilian populated areas where u cant tell who is who really u just dont go bombing the place...its a different situation in Mali

bigrovar: If you decide to sure your ignorance online for the whole world to see that is your problem. I knew when I posted this that the cynicism casue it's cool brigade would show their head to find something sinister to say.

Addressing your points. when deploying in a conflict zone. come out fully armed and ready. Bamako as it stands now is not safe. We are getting reports of rebels infiltration has been reported in the city and rebels columns have been sighted less than 400km from bamako.. What is the rebels decide to give the Nigerian a special welcome? what happens then? When entering conflict zone one has to be ready for anything as the situation is very fluid and anything can happen. In one of the pictures you can see an unsmiling mean looking Soldier standing guard why is comrade disembark. That is how it's done. Make no mistake this is not a picnic.. This is war. not african nations cup.. anything can happen and one can not be too careful
thank you for laying it out for the dummy...

saem: Those of you making fun about our military in their latest endeavour don't know jack about our military.

It is sad that we are putting our young men into harms way and instead of us offering our prayers for their safe return, we are saying all manner of negative things on NL.

The objective is to cripple the training platform of the madness called boko haram.

In military strategy, u size the quality of the opposition before you make your deployment...what is wrong in sending out our F7 jets to fight the kind of enemy in mali? These jets are more than enough for the task at hand.

Those of you talking rubish here should wait for the day you will come face to face with an enemy with a gun (God forbid) may be then you will know the enormity of task we have sent our men to accomplish.

Victory comes from God alone!

God bless Nigerian Army.
God bless Nigerian Airforce.
God bless Nigeria.
And God richly bless you too for laying it out bro... Too many ignorant people talking trash about our Military ... God Speed to our Galant Troops and I hope they give those terrorist Hell

pretty_boi: Thanks for the commendation. It seems to me like the owner or Blogger of/on that site (of which I provided a link to) is either in the Nigerian military or knows quite reliable stuff about the Nigerian military. Most of the pictures out here or at least most of the pictures he can lay his hands on are pictures that may not breach military protocols (I suppose),that's why we probably can see these pictures. On the other hand, like you said they need more modern rifles? They definitely would not display their arsenal or more sophisticated weapons indiscriminately. He said that a special squad of Nigerian air force commandos took off from port-harcourt yesterday in a completely different uniform with their primary weapons being tavor assault rifles (pictured below) but that he couldn't get pictures of them. Another reason why the AK-47 is probably the primary weapon for our regular forces is that it is absolutely rugged & is quite easily maintained especially when going to harsh terrains like the Malian desert North for instance. Another thing is that most (but not all) assault weapons are "close-combat" rifles & that's why they're mostly used by commandos, secret service agents etc & hardly used by regular forces. The AK-47 is efficient, easy to maintain, rugged, can stand almost any weather condition etc & this is probably why it remains the "primary weapon" of our regular forces (this is just my opinion though.)
very well explained bro...and also as a possible added advantage:..most militia use the AK47. so for any enemy gunned down, an extra clip cld be acquired

fr_evangel: Actually, these parties have insincere people but the ranking of the WORST to BAD will still have CPC on top closely followed by ACN (As long as Asiwaju remains their GodFather).....then you have PDP coming somewhere in the list.

WORST PARTY RANKING!!!

1.CPC
2. ACN
.
.
.
.
n. PDP

Here you go!

Q: Do I support PDP?
A: Heck NO!!!! They are far from being our dream!

Q: Can I vote for CPC(Buhari for that matter)?
A: Dogs and Baboons??!!!!

Q: Can I vote for ACN?
A: You want make everybody go back to their village?!!!

Meaning I am stuck with this PDP for God knows when, sobs....

joseph1832: What is the function or job of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria? (CAN) Well certainly its not be a sycophant

Judging by the way Ayo Oritsejafor, who is currently the president of CAN is using the office, one would say its a complete aberration.

He wines and dines with the corrupt, plays lip service to them, encourage them in their evil ways, turns the other eye when the people he's suppose to be protecting their interest are being harassed, doesn't blink an eye lid when hash conditions are sanctioned on the Nigerian masses, attends top government functions, and has endorse a government known to be very corrupt! In short there's no PDP function you don't find the clergyman. I often wonder if he's become a card carrying member of that party.

Is this what a man of God, the President of CAN is suppose to be doing? I think its time CAN clean out their closet.
I can see...The private Jet still hurts you till nw... Pls get a Job
