Politics / Re: Osinbajo Commissions Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company In Akwa Ibom by Gabbyelep: 12:59pm On Sep 24, 2017 |
A responsible and responsive government will always know the best ways to touch the lives of its people. The syringe manufacturing company is a good development considering the job opportunities and IGR it will generate if well managed. From the man of uncommon transformations in uncommon infrastructures, to the man of uncommon industrialisation. Thanks Mr. Governor for continuing in the footsteps of your predecessor. 8 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Restructuring: We’re Not Afraid, But Won’t Be Stampeded — Northern Elders by Gabbyelep: 10:33am On Sep 22, 2017 |
KingMicky3286: Well stated. This is just the truth. Restructuring will hurt the north. Period. So the north knows its parasitic relationship with the south is coming to an end via restructuring. Unfortunately to them, that is the only basis for peace and coexistence of this country. So restructuring is a southern concocted policy? I doubt the education of some fellows. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Okorocha Accused Of Destroying N60million Building Belonging To A Widow (Photos) by Gabbyelep: 6:30pm On Sep 20, 2017 |
MadCow1: Interesting. But my dear friend 1. That a building is 40 years old doesn't mean it should be demolished. In Badagry, Port Harcourt, Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom state, and other parts of this country, we still see buildings that were built by our colonial masters. 2. That building only needed a renovation and further structural strengthening if it was a threat to the people. 3. If he notified the owners verbally to remodel the building, did he give them the needed time to come and remodel the building? 4. Before going to destroy the building, did he provide an alternative building for the displaced persons? 5. After demolition, did he pay compensation for pulling down people's sources of livelihood? 6. If there are good buildings abroad, have you also seen the world tourism sites listed in the UN world heritage lists? If you have, you will believe with me that some of those sites are old centuries building remodeled to suit present building standards with native or traditional inclinations. 7. I believe as it is done in Port Harcourt, if the government wants to build big cities, go and develop the bushes. The bushes are not for witches and wizards or ocultic and clandestine activities. The greater Garden City in Port Harcourt is not used to destroy already established buildings. Go to old Aba road in PH, you will see older buildings than that, they are only been remodeled. Are the lands in Imo state exhausted? Greater Oweri or whatever shouldn't take away the livelihood of anybody without adequate compensation. These are issues we should consider and not been biased and defend the ineptitude of governance blindly. Staying abroad doesnt give anybody the right to vandalize the properties you build with your hard earned money not to mention a widow and a pensioner. This is the kind of supports that keep us where we are today. Period! |
Religion / Re: 10 Reasons Why Every Believer Must Speak In Tongues by Gabbyelep: 6:58pm On Aug 13, 2017 |
Nigeriadondie: Well, I will accept your analysis of the importance of tongues in the early church towards reaching the unreached who were alienated because of language barrier. That is an awesome explanation. But looking at your comment to support the fact tongue is obsolete, I instead prefer to differ. Speaking in tongues has no dispensation. It all started at the tower of Babel through the days of Christ and to this day. Whereas God gave tongues at Babel to disunite an ill intended united people, God is rather giving us tongues in the present to unite a disunited generation as seen by the testimony of the number of folks who were united with the apostles in the day of Pentecost. That hasn't change and is still a mercenary for uniting a divided world today until the world is united in one purpose at the last day. What I mean is that, until heaven and earth passes away, tongues will never be obsolete. When you talk about the Bible being written in many languages of the world, I want to say that the world has over 3000 languages and 800 languages covered by the JW as mentioned in your explanation is no way half the number of languages in the world. Just ask yourself, how many languages are in your state and how many of them has Bible in their local languages. As an Orthodox Christian who has received and being led by the spirit, I disagree with you on the note that tongues are obsolete. NO NO NO |

Only fools believe whatever they are told. The wise checks for the truth about where he is going-Prov 14:15, 15:14. Do the presidency think that all Nigerians are mere simpletons in Islamic kaftans to speak to Nigerians in Hausa? When shall we desist from these lies and camouflage? Is he a President for the North? Is Islam only practiced among Buhari's herdsmen? Can we please desist from this folly? We have better brains than this na. Let's see how we can forge ahead instead of concocting divisive elements every night. |
Politics / Re: Fashola Laments Lagos-Ibadan/2nd Niger bridge Budget Cuts by NASS by Gabbyelep: 4:39pm On Jun 23, 2017 |
agabusta: Don't you also think that the cause of abandoned projects across the country is as a result of this part allocations (if it is true) of funds to projects? When a new govt comes and push away the projects as a priority, the projects become abandoned and the money spent on it, becoming a waste? Let's be sincere and see the truth. |
Politics / Re: Fashola Laments Lagos-Ibadan/2nd Niger bridge Budget Cuts by NASS by Gabbyelep: 4:33pm On Jun 23, 2017 |
sirpharrell: Don't you see that as an avenue for the abandoned projects everywhere in Nigeria? What will happen if all these roads were awarded to be completed in one year without leaving for the next year's fiscal budget. What if a new govt comes in and decide to abandon the project that the previous government had spent billions without completion? I think we don't need all these yearly allocation of funds to a particular project if there is proper management of our budgetary allocations. |
Politics / Re: Fashola Laments Lagos-Ibadan/2nd Niger bridge Budget Cuts by NASS by Gabbyelep: 3:05pm On Jun 23, 2017 |
Are those road and expressway projects recurrent expenses? I presume they were supposed to be taken care of in a particular fiscal year as capital projects. Why are they appearing on every year's budgetary estimates? I think the National Assembly did well to reduce these expenses. Corruption is just been carried out every day through these ministries that keep on allocating hard earned tax payers moneys for supposedly capital projects like purchase of computers, construction of roads etc in the budget every year. These men in the executive suits must not just do whatever seems best to them at the expense of the masses. Thumbs up to NASS for reducing the stonky budgetary allocations. As for Fashola, if the contractors threaten to abandon the projects, use the approved allocation and hire new contractors to complete the projects. Is that what you people tell civil servants whenever they threaten to go on strike? No Work, No Pay, you will tell them, so do same to the contractors or are they above the No Work, No Remittances?Whether SAN or not, the legislators have the constitutional right to alter any unscrupulous budgetary estimates. God bless Nigeria. |
Politics / Re: Politicians Hire Marabouts, Pastors To Pray For Buhari’s Death: Lauretta Onochie by Gabbyelep: 9:59am On May 22, 2017 |
First, it was Adesina, and now it is Onochie. Is something hot cooking under the oven that we don't know? This sounds like a desperate soul yearning for divine intervention in a lost course. The time bomb will soon explode. It's still Nigeria and we are watching and praying. Only God knows what we are praying for but you can guess what we are watching at. 1 Like |
