The question should be thrown to you. Where was southern unity when Zik was on the ballot from 1958, 1979 and 1983? This results to me actually show states voting according to their conviction and not following some regional order to vote a particular candidate. A lot of northern states voted for Abiola as against Tofa a northerner. Anambra and majority of SS voted for Abiola as well. While Rivers and some other SE states voted for Tofa against a southerner.

That to me is what democracy and election should look like. Vote according to ur belief and not cos 'he is from our side'
