tufe:
what kind of advice do you seek know, because what u want to do is quite simple.

Today's high for first bank is being traded at N44.90 at this very moment. so u are holding a basket worth N583,700. well after taking off the 2.4% commission, u would have N569,691.2.

Its worth your selling if u ask me, going be the fact that they opened at N37.88 last week. so what could possibly be the odds. if can still be patient though, i would say u wait till their financial year end, rake in some dividends and bonus, and enjoy. wink if u however need money inhand, then go ahead and sell
Hey Tufe

Thanks a whole lot for your advise im selling cos i need the cash for something urgent but from what i've garnered so far it might take some considerable time getting them off, will see how it goes, tnks once again

Celebrities › Osofiia Lands Nigerians In Trouble 62 Deported From Amsterdam-holland by gaby(op): 8:25pm On Jun 24, 2007
What was supposed to be a night of celebration for Nigerians in Amsterdam, Holland, turned sour last week as 62 of them have been deported.

Saturday Champion gathered that the people had paid 20 euros each that Friday night to watch Nigeria’s foremost actor, Mr. Nkem Owoh, (aka Osuofia) perform in an event tagged "Osuofia show" at Grand Café, after which the police raided the venue with buses and arrested people without resident permits.

A member of the Nigerian community who pleaded anonymity told Saturday Champion that the Grand Café is owned by one of the Igbo businessmen in Holland.

According to him, it was wrong for the police to have raided the place, most especially considering the negative implication it will have on the owner of the café.

Our source however, said that the Nigerian embassy is yet to react to the development officially.

I do not believe this man is Richer Than Sir Richard Branson.

Anyway, the truth is that this man has put himself in a very tight corner.

He simply overinflated his word by adjusting for the amount of money he would steal from the Anambra state coffers in the next 4 years.

If this man has actually earned $8billion legally, then he should pay $2.4billion income tax.

If he actually hasn't got $8billion, then he should be charged with attempt to defraud the state.

But I'd rather he just be made to pay $2.4billion.
Spot on bro, good talk

Kitty, It was a very very humiliating sight to behold my brother, what happened at the club where we Nigerians chill every weekend couldnt have happened in a morrocan club or something, too bad cos we are still living with this i-no-wan-die attitude everywhere we go, we've allowed the love for money over-cloud our sense of rising up for our rights if not how can you explain 80 policemen storming a club where about 250 people are having fun and just taking them leading the illegal one(111) of them like sheeps going to the slaughter without any form of protest, Its a sad situation tho cos about 70 of my pals who are illegal are already back to Niger cos they were sent back the same day, Na so we see am oooh my brother

Nigerian court frees oil militant
Militia leader Mujahid Dokubo-Asari
Mujahid Dokubo-Asari says locals should benefit from the oil
A leader of Nigeria's oil militants has been released on bail on health grounds after being held on treason charges for almost two years.

The BBC's Alex Last in Lagos says Mujahid Dokubo-Asari is the best known of the militant leaders.

His release has been a key demand of armed groups who have staged numerous attacks on oil installations.

The move is seen as part of the new government's pledge to bring peace to the troubled Niger Delta region.

Last week, three state governors from the Niger Delta appealed to new President Umaru Yar'Adua to free Mr Dokubo-Asari because of his ill health, while the Supreme Court refused a request to free him, citing national security fears.

"I'm convinced the accused is not playing to the gallery. The accused is ordered to be released on health grounds," said Justice Peter Olayiwola.

He ordered Mr Dokubo-Asari not to engage in any political activity and for his movements to be monitored.

Leaders from Mr Dokubo-Asari's Ijaw community have welcomed his release.

"This is good news for anyone with a business in the Niger Delta. It will pour cold water on the situation. Asari is key to bringing peace to the delta," said Emmanuel Diffa, an Ijaw elder who has been campaigning for his release.

Militants killed

In his inauguration speech last month, President Yar'Adua said that bringing peace to the region was one of his main priorities.

He has already made preliminary contacts with the militants, who have declared a one-month truce and freed a large number of the foreign oil workers they had seized.

But on Wednesday, at least eight militants were killed by the army, local sources have told the BBC.

This had raised fears of a resumption of hostilities.

Mr Dokubo-Asari was arrested in 2005 after saying in a newspaper interview that the Niger Delta, where most of Nigeria's oil is found, should secede.

The militants argue that local people should benefit from more of Nigeria's oil.

The attacks on hostage-taking in the Niger Delta have led to a 25% cut in Nigeria's oil production.

, hmmmmmm would like to begin by first saying a huge huge thank you to Seun for bringing back this topic on the front page and for all who has contributed so far your comments are highly appreciated and definitely taken into consideration,

Before actually posting this topic i already had 6 tipper trucks been managed on my behalf just wanted to get other peeps views on the biz cos its not been all that a rosy one even though its quite a lucrative one,

I have actually started the biz under a registered company presently been managed by my old boy and my in-law but before now my dear peeps i had them under the custody of a friend in Delta State who promised he had connections to a Government agency that would take in the trucks at a reasonable daily return on each of the trucks with payments to be effected semi-annually, i had to finance the project as in paying the drivers and repairs on the trucks and my dear people you wont believe that uptil date im still battling to get paid for jobs long completed and financed by me,

I do understand things wouldnt have been the way they were if i was manning the business myself and im looking at taking over fully myself,

I have learnt a lot from the contributions here and would want to take this time out to say i appreciate you all, would write to you guys with email addresses on board personally to thank you and to seek further advices if needed,

Have a good day fellows,
