It would affect US more than China. China has alternatives. US tech giants would lose billions of dollars and it will affect the value of their companies. |

mablie: Hello.Since yesterdays' match,I have heard many Nigerian make the claim for African countries to boycott the senior world cup and only focus on the AFCON.Is that a realistically possible outcome? I won't support that, we must participate in every FIFA world cup competition. We must not allow Europe and the Americas take over our slots. All we need now is to step up our game. |

IamNanas: I told my younger brother this same words on Monday Seriously bro, that is why I see football as entertainment. I watch it for fun. Anybody that says they don' write scripts in football is just deceiving himself. Why was Sepp Blatter against VAR? He knows what his people(FIFA) are capable of. Brother, I read about the way they do the bidding for world cup, it is real war where Presidents/Kings/Heads of states, lobby to win the bidding. Football is just beyond an ordinary sport, it is a business venture. |
Sports › Re: Non-Nigerians React Harshly After Nigeria’s Loss To Argentina by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 11:27am On Jun 27, 2018 |
They robbed us, if many had watched what they did to Morocco against Spain, I knew they would do the same thing to other African nations in this tournament. My advice to African teams always take your chances and avoid making silly mistakes. Am sure if it were to be our defender that committed the foul, Argentina would have been awarded a penalty. As for those people saying Leon Balogun should have been given a red card, that wasn't a red card offence because Omeruo was the last man while Leon and the Argentine player were behind him. As for the the penalty they gave us, it was well deserved, the scenario was similar to what Ekong did to Mandzukich. Qatar 2002 is at the corner let our coach continues from where he stopped, we should qualify for AFCON. We need to qualify for AFCON 2019, is being long we participated in that tournament. God bless Nigeria! God bless Africa! |
Sports › Re: Non-Nigerians React Harshly After Nigeria’s Loss To Argentina by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 11:18am On Jun 27, 2018 |
kennybelle: FIFA is a business venture, and Nigeria is not profitable. Simple!
It's not a sheer coincidence that we are always paired with them in d W/cup
Anyone blaming the players needs to understand this fact My Dad said the same thing many years back ,it still lingers in my memory. FIFA sees African nations as a non-marketable continent for football, they will keep cheating us. Compare the number of Argentine fans in that stadium to Nigerian fans, they outnumbered us. FIFA is a capitalist organisation they need money, only big footballing nations can give them Dinero(Money). Senegal would be the next to be cheated. Even the commentator was saying world cup won't be interesting if Argentina don't join their fellow elites. Football is business. |

Omobolajiatanda: For a player on a goal drought in "China" playing at all says a lot about the number nine position in the team. Look at the way Rojo, a defender placed the ball brilliantly. The idiot had a chance from 3 or 4 yards out and he couldn't convert. Pity. I don't know when we will have a striker. The last time we had a better striker was Obafemi Martins time. We need a striker and our boys need to step up, many of them focus on the money than football. |

Omobolajiatanda: The coach is to be blamed for waiting till Argentina scored before making a substitution, he should have taken out one of the wing backs for a defender, I'm guessing he didn't learn the art of bus parking from Mourinho.
As for Ighalo, he shouldn't bother coming back o, he should just go straight back to China. #fakeproduct. You are right, he should have done substitution to bring energy to the attack. Ighalo has been poor since he left England for China. What is next is Nations cup qualification. They should bring better players to the squad. |
