FashionRe: Even Out Facial Skin Tone Without Dark Patch On The Side Of Your Face by Galadriel(f): 1:22am On Jul 29, 2007
Well, I dont know if this will be helpful, but you have to get a good sunscreen for your face. Any sunscreen with SPF 15 or 20 is adequate to protect your skin from the sunrays. Right now to ensure that my skin tone is even, I use a good facial scrub. I have never really trusted all this fade creams so I prefer to use a scrub even though its a slower process but the end results are worth it.I also have a microdermabrasion kit at home which I use twice a month. What this does is that it removes dead layers of skin from your face to allow a newer skin layer to come out. If there are any dark spots with time they fade away completely because they are stripped away with the old skin layer. ( I hope I dont sound like a freak grin). I hope this helps.

I think her shape is really nice and curvy. That's just one of the many attractive shapes that we african gals have. We come in all shapes, sizes and colors. We are versatile beings and our bodies aint boring! kiss

Hey suze, are the dark patches due to spots or just sun burn?
FashionRe: Ladies: Do You Love Wearing Boots And Why? by Galadriel(f): 5:57pm On Jul 28, 2007
I found out that I love jackets. So one time, I bought this nice jacket and rocked it to school one day. I have to admit I felt like a cool tough rocker chic and I could see myself walking with this confidence and attitude that was so chic! grin Man, that was when I realised that clothes can give you overloads of confidence.
EducationRe: Covenant University Stipulates Negative Test To Pregnancy, Hiv As Precondition by Galadriel(f): 5:54pm On Jul 28, 2007
Exactly. You have a choice to go to that school and live with the rules or go somewhere else. Personally, after spending six years in boarding school with all the rules imaginable in this world, why I would subject ma self to another 4yrs of it is just plain overkill and suicidal for me!
Christianity EtcRe: A Professor Almost Prove That God Couldn't Exist. by Galadriel(f): 5:51pm On Jul 28, 2007
Seun:
If God exists, then evil does not exist in the world, because God is 100% good and created everything.
Since evil exists, a 100% righteous and holy and loving and good God could not possible have created the world.
Therefore the perfect, just and loving God of the bible (and similar religions) does not exist. That was too easy!
No it wasn't. That your argument has been used and flogged by every other atheist in this world, notably Richard Dawkins. the funny thing is that they keep saying they can prove he doesnt, by using this argument, yet it baffles their mind that despite their rantings, people still choose to believe!
FashionRe: Which Would You Rather Be?fashionable Or Stylish? by Galadriel(f): 5:46pm On Jul 28, 2007
I think for me looking stylish is more important. If you have a cool sense of dressing, it shows and its your own personal style which someone might copy but can never really pull off. But the thing about looking stylish is that, you shouldnt have to follow every fashion trend that comes out but you should at least roll with the times.
EducationRe: Covenant University Stipulates Negative Test To Pregnancy, Hiv As Precondition by Galadriel(f): 5:41pm On Jul 28, 2007
I think most students already knew about that stipulation before they got in. I spoke to my friend who was once in covenant and ma friend told me that the rule had been in effect and most students were aware of it.
FashionRe: Lipstick Or Lipgloss by Galadriel(f): 5:38pm On Jul 28, 2007
I prefer lipgloss. maybe becos its easier for me to apply. But I think lipstick has a really glamorous look if its applied well. I am so hopeless at applying lipstick. I always end up looking like a 5yr old that chewed her mom's lipstick. undecided
FashionRe: Ladies: Do You Love Wearing Boots And Why? by Galadriel(f): 5:35pm On Jul 28, 2007
That's what they say about clothes and your attitude. Sometimes you wear stuff and wham your demeanor changes!!! Its really an enigma that's why I am particular about the clothes I wear so that I do not give out the wrong vibes.
FoodRe: White Girls And Fufu by Galadriel(f): 5:32pm On Jul 28, 2007
@ Omoge
You are so right. Most Afro-carribean stores here in Canada carry African food stuffs. I remember when I and My sister tried to make pounded yam using the flour and not the traditional yam and mortar. It turned out not so good, but we discovered a technique that makes it come out without lumps! grin
Wow!!!

I strongly believe in One Man - One woman at a time.

Monogamy can't be the cause of infedility, there are sevaral underlining causes - all steming from a lack of communication both verbally, sexually and in all other manners amongst the couples in question,

Come to think of it, if you really love your woman, would you want to spoil the fun by bringing in another womanhuh
Good Question! wink

It amazes me how the human mind will always come up with theories to justify wrong actions! Monogamy is a prevailing cause of infedility in Africa! Wonders shall never cease!
EducationRe: Covenant University Stipulates Negative Test To Pregnancy, Hiv As Precondition by Galadriel(f): 5:59am On Jul 28, 2007
How does this impact the future of Nigeria. A school that tells students how to think. yet they have the nerve to say that they are breeding future leaders! Leaders that can't think for themselves, who are forced to sleep at certain times in the night at their age. Even in ma high school, during exam period, all senior gals were left alone to burn the midnight oil! I do not know who came up with this policy, but it seriously needs to go under reconstruction fast!

Na so! Stop living in dreamland and come outright and say that truly your ex was Salawa Abeni cool

Esss:
Just to clarify one thing;
1. Married people(women) who have registered their mariage with the school can do it and be pregnant. That one is allowed according to the original/first post.

Question; Why are people saying/insinuating the Oyedepo is not aware of this Law/rule. The bloody school is his own. He knows. Infact he made the damn law.

Why will parents actually send their kids to such mediocre schools?? I mean the laws/rules are downright ridiculous. No cellphones, No relationships, Lights out, No partying, No socialization, You must attend church on Sundays, Dress codes (this I could understand), e.t.c. And to top it up, they now discriminate against pregnant chicks, and PLWHA (people living with HIV AIDS).

If parents feel their kids are not mentally developed enough to live independently in school then they should keep them at home. This sounds more like bootcamp than a university. Most people are trying to compare CU with Oral Roberts University, but they differ greatly. ORU is being run by smart intelligent educationists, CU is obviously being run by a "nigerian pastor".

A decent university is not determined by the amount of HIV-ive students you have or the amount of Virgins you graduate. It seems they are more concerned with "morals" than the actual purpose a university is created for. University life is supposed to prepare you for both the educational side of life (hence the lectures and books), the political side (Student unions, student associations, e.t.c), the emotional part (hence the freedom of interaction and dating and pregnancy i guess grin), e.t.c.

That school/management needs to review its priorities because its obvious that they are either confused or outrightly stupid.
I couldnt have said it better myself! True talk!

What problems? Is Oyedepo now the solver of the world's problems? In this life problems abound, what Covenant should be teaching their students is how they deal with the consequences of actions and choices they make in life. Maybe this policy means well, but something about it is just not right. I cant quite put ma finger on it but something about this policy is just not right!!!!
