GAZZUZZ:okay. My evaporative cannister box at the rear quarter panel is broken though. I do not know (I don't think anyway) if it can be a possible cause because it was broken when it was shipped from the US and it ran fine then |
GAZZUZZ:Absolutely none. MAF was changed last year. It has been okay all these while. Just started erratic idle in January. Have changed throttle body thrice... all to no avail. |
GAZZUZZ:I changed my throttle body last week due to the same issue. Idle RPM was unstable that necessitated the changed. Prior to the throttle body change, MPG was okay. No black smoke. |
Gazzuzz and other heroes in this forum.... I greet o. I need you guy's opinion on this issue. 2001 QX4 3.5L VQ35 Fuel consumption increased significantly since last week. Black exhaust smoke at start up (both warm and cold start). car idles erratically but drives perfectly in motion. This minute it's normal, the next second, the RPM will drop as low as 300 and goes back to 750 after like 3-5 seconds and the cycle continues. Car drives very fine but idles poorly and erratically (up and down) especially in traffic. Spark plug inspection showed black smoke on plug 1. Car was scanned. I didn't quite note down the DTC but the interpretation is Oxygen sensor Sensor 2 bank 1. Live data brought up the following (pic attached) Auto elect said I should come for change of oxygen sensor tomorrow. I will appreciate your inputs before I go ahead and spend

Automatic or manual? |
Costee:Ic17 responsible for the control of the idle isn't burnt. The entire ECU looks intact (by eye judgement). I sniffed it..... No burnt smell detected. Although I read in one Pathfinder group that an ECU can look perfect and yet fried.
|
Costee:This has been my primary suspicion... IACV chip in the ECM. I will have a look boss. I have already tried doing the idle relearn |

Gazzuzz Infiniti QX4 2002. I had idling issues. Idle bounces up and down. car was scanned and I was getting P0505.... IACV ish. I bought a another throttle body since they actually come together. It didn't solve my issues. The erratic idle happens whenever it likes and becomes so annoying, car stalls at traffic and rpm rises to 1,500 when restarted. Mechanic told me that the IACV in the throttle body I bought is also faulty like the one I had. He tweaked the throttle body through the hole that comes from the IACV solenoid and blocked it with a paper. (picture attached). Then opened it a little bit to allow small air to pass. My problem was solved. No more erratic idles....but there was another problem. He set the idle at 1,000rpm in Park/Neutral. When I engage reverse or D, it comes down to 700. But where I had a problem with that arrangement is that when I put on the AC, car idles at 500 and sometimes go as low as 400-450 and feels like it's about to die. when you put off the AC, the rpm goes to 700 and you are good to go wherever you wanna go. Car drives just fine. I saved money, went to Onitsha myself, went to my trusted engine seller and he yanked off a throttle body from a VQ35 engine and I went and installed it in my vehicle. Start up was fine. idled within range (750rpm) but when I put on the AC, I still get the same issue that I had with the first one. Please help |
Costee:Loss of power (dangling rpm) Sometimes, car is unable to rev at idle. Next minute, it will rev. So it misbehaves and jerks |

I am having issues with my air flow meter. I have scanned it repeatedly and it keeps showing air flow meter. 2002 Infiniti QX4. I have bought three different ones all to no avail. Please I need help |
Besto:changed ECU. same thing. Had to put back my old ECU |
Allem:I bought another one and checked the entire throttle body (injector mouth), no difference |
radautoworks:P0100 Mass or Air volume circuit (permanent) P0505 Idle Air control system (intermittent) |
Gallass: |
radautoworks:Reasons why I believe it's my exact problem: DTC code reoccurring. At idle, if you erase codes and put off the engine. Start it again and check engine pops up. I will scan it again and will get MASS Air flow code immediately. Changing different MAFs gives different performances. The malfunction is even inconsistent. start the vehicle this minute and it will rev fine. Off the engine and start it immediately again and it won't rev fine. |
my 2002 QX4 is having MAF issues. This was confirmed by OBD II scans. Codes erased and it keeps popping up. Bought a brand new MAF (not OEM ), it didn't make any difference. Tried different used MAFs from the parts market here in Enugu, they were all misbehaving. Is there any Nissan expert that is based in Enugu in this forum? Radautoworks , for how much can I get an OEM MAF sensor from you? |
2001 QX4. Jerks at first gear only. It doesn't happen if I accelerate hard but surely happens if I drive normally. Immediately it enters second gear, rpm sharply rises to 2,500 and quickly returns to normal. Car will continue to drive okay until the next braking when it will return to first gear. NB: If I accelerate hard and push down the gas on all gears, they work perfectly |

I need this oil pump.
is there any dealer here who has it? Engine: Nissan VG30 car: Infiniti J30
|
radautoworks:1997 |
Gallass:Please can anyone here help me with this? Car is Infiniti J30.
|
I need engine crankshaft pulley for Nissan VG30 engine.
Can anyone help? |
Does any dealer here have the crankshaft pulley ("engine pulley") of Nissan VG30 engine. It is needed asap. I need it for my car Infiniti J30 Thanks |
how did you go about tinting your car?
I am also in Enugu and I'm interested in tinting mine |
Do you have for 1997 infiniti J30 ? |
GAZZUZZ:Okay. Thank you |
@gazzuzz what's the reason why it is encouraged to change the complete assembly instead of only the pump during fuel pump replacement? |
GAZZUZZ:Thank you |
GAZZUZZ:okay. I've changed fuel pump 3 times because of it. No difference. my bewilderment is hinged on it happening ONLY when engine warms up properly. In most instances, when it starts that rubbish, hard acceralation solves it immediately. But expect it in the next 2-3 mins of driving to jerk again. When engine runs rough in motion , offing and restarting the engine solves the problem in most instances. The misbehavior is incostistent. |
