I paid 1k to Meristem to transfer me to Meritrade.
And because i wanted to merge my two accounts[ i had two accounts with Arm, so i merged all], I had to pay #430, at #215 each to CSCS to merge and change my address. They will give you the procedure and even the CSCS bank account number to pay into

The last stock i bought on FRIDAY, they were doing promo, my fees were paid back sef...

I want to know how how it works. When are dividends paid? If I want to sell my stocks any time, is it possible? Do I get paid in dollars or naira?

I just registered on Chaka. Are there better platforms than Chaka?

Some dividends are paid monthly, some quarterly[four times a year, after every three months], others semi-annually, while FEW pay once a year.
But you can buy only three stocks that pay quarterly , check the months they pay, and you can be earning monthly depending on the months. Or you can buy 12 stocks that pay quarterly, check their months in such a way that you can be earning WEEKLY

You can buy and sell any time from 2:30pm to 9pm

And the beauty is that Chaka is now LICENCED to do business by Nigerian government as an international broker.

Finally, Arm Securities signed off my account after series of unreplied emails and silence. I had to copy CSCS, SEC and NGX for them to do it within 24hrs. The next day, Meristem emailed me that the process has been completed. Thanks all.

I noticed something, before Chaka use to send me email notification that i have received dividend on US stocks...Now, they no longer send..two dividends i received this week...even today..the thing just went straight to my wallet..no message. What happened?

Just send them mail.The will send to you the requirements. But i know i wrote about four letters, to Meristem, to Arm, to CSCS, ETC..They even sent me the format for the letters. They also requested for my print out of my cscs portfolio, also KYC form[KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER],id,utility bill and passport photograph. Remember ARM is still an active brokerage house, not inactive. So my transfer was from active to another active.

I will pursue another transfer when i am done with this one, from inactive to active.. Deap Capital and Trust to Meristem..

I am transferring my shares from ARM SECURITIES to MERISTEM SECURITIES. All the requirements have been submitted through Meristem, and Meristem has submitted all to ARM SECURITIES. ARM SECURITIES even called me asking why am i transferring, i gave them my reasons. It is now two weeks. And ARM SECURITIES have not done the transfer. What next friends? I AM A DOT OOO living in the EAST.

There is nothing wrong in diversifying into other climes...make money from anywhere, US, CHINA, EGYPT, etc..make money, make money and make money..THE MORE THE BETTER

But this thread is for NIGERIAN STOCKS...Stick with it. Savvy?
