Omoodua007: Christian doesn’t demand special laws Your delusional looooool The shariah law is an exercise in futility and MURIc will go ahead to wail about how Christians have marginalized Muslims in Yoruba land
All Yoruba pastors are extremely intelligent and have contributed positively to growth of yoruba land
buckeyemedia: Don’t you want restructuring again? Or you think it is only your like minded that have demands & seek redress? El Rufai showed them samples of restructuring in Kaduna State, NLC called for a strike, yet them claim they want so called restructuring? Now they showed them they are already complaining?
Which sample of restructuring did hell rufai show in Kaduna?
On the day the British Colonial Government first landed in Lagos in 1851 Oyo controlled Badagry Area Which they had taken from the king of Dahomey along with Porto Novo (Ajase) in War . The Oyos had fought Dahomey as Allies of the Eguns Aare Oona Kakanfo Oyabi had led the Oyo Army
The Abeokuta Egba Army Controlled all of Lagos Mainland Which they had won in the Ota War of 1842 in Which the Oyos of Ibadan fought as Allies of Oba Kosoko and the Awori and received such a heavy defeat at the hands of the Egbas that the Ibadan Army had to be smuggled back home.
The whole Episode almost led to the downfall of Basorun Oluyole back at Ibadan
The Ijebu Controlled Everything East of Lekki
All Oba Kosoko Controlled was the Slave market and Port of Isale Eko on Lagos Island, Even Ikoyi belonged to the Onikoyi who was an Oyo man
Again if you hear that Yorubas spent 100 years fighting themselves till 1878,
Just know that the Egba, Ijebu and Oyo Which included Ibadan were fighting for Control of the Coast of Lagos
Control of the Coast of Lagos meant Titanic Wealth. but unfortunately much of that was from the Slave trade
The Lagos territory Controlled by the Egbas , Oyo and Oba Kosoko belonged to the Awori People who were the most Peaceful and accommodating of all Yoruba Clans
Eko is Yoruba short for Ereko which means field and for Confirmation Ereko Market where the Egbas and Ijebu traded is still on Lagos Island today
Also Eko Ende in Osun State was one of the Locations of the Jalumi War of 1878
The Awori have inhabited Lagos since the 13th Century when they migrated from Ile Ife led by Olofin Ogunfuminire who was a great grandson of Oduduwa and a nephew of Oranmiyan who headed to Benin around the same period
The Otun Ekiti People migrated from Lagos in the 15 th Century and share the same ancestry with the Awori of Lagos
**Eko is Yoruba short for Ereko**
Eko is War camp in Bini language.
Lagos belongs to the bini Kingdom.
It's a historical fact that baseless epistles cant change
CaptainZubi: For about 5 years now I've been battling extreme tiredness . Asides that I sleep alot most especially at afternoons. At night, nonce I sleep around 11pm and not going to work the next day, I can wake up by 10am or 11 am.
During afternoon and night sleeps, the sleep is usually very deep (REM phase or whatever you medics call it, please correct me) and usually characterized by heavy dreams.
Even during work, I'll always take the risk to create some time to have a little sleep. I've been battling this for about 5 years now. What could be wrong.
U have been very inactive for years now.
Read a lot.
Exercise alot.
Watch movies alot.
Do all these during the day and u will be very tired and then u can sleep on time (8pm -9pm)

AirPeace buys brand new planes and they have never ever had a plane crash before
Christistruth00: This is the 1962 Map of the Western Region from the US Library of Congress
Lagos is where the dot is.
The British Colonial Government only leased Apapa from the Oluwa Awori Yoruba Family , Just like the US leased its Military bases in Germany and Japan.
If you examine the map carefully and very truthfully you will agree that more than 95% of today’s Lagos State was in Awolowo’s Western Region
Almost all of what is Metropolitan Lagos today was actually in the Ikeja Administrative department of the Western Region.
Lagos Island was the only exception.
When You hear that Yorubas spent 100 years fighting themselves till the British Negotiated the Kiriji Peace Treaty know that the Egba, Ijebu and Oyos which included Ibadan were fighting for the Military and Political control for the Coast of Lagos
They had all realised that Sea Coasts meant international Trade and big Money
In 1851 when the British First landed in Lagos the Oyos held Badagry area, the Ijebu were in Control of Eastern Lagos from Lekki onwards , the Egbas held Everything between the Oyo and Ijebu Lagos territory’s which included practically all of Mainland Lagos including Ebutte Metta,Iganmu,Ikeja,Agege,Ifo, Ota everything from Lagos Mainland to Abeokuta
The Only part of Lagos Oba zkosoko Controled Was on Lagos Island half of Which belonged to the Onikoyi who was another Oyo man
Lagos Island where the Oba of Lagos resided belonged to the Awori Aromire Family
Oba of Lagos was a Merchant Prince who controlled the Lagos Slave Markets and Port of Isale Eko Area
I come in Peace.
God bless Lagos and Nigeria
Mumu Okpo ...stop copying other peoples post, Its grossly stupid to do so.
Lagos area is several hundreds of years old and in ur small sense, If the British rented portions of it from a so called yorub family, therefore lagos now belongs to yoruba people .
Lagos AKA Eko is Bini land and the Word Eko has no meaning in Yoruba language, Rather it is Bini language.
Lagos Island is even the only part of Lagos that belongs to the Awori's who have similar roots to the benin's, but even Awori will tell you they are Yoruba's .
Epe, Ikorodu, Infact all of Lagos mainland also belongs to benin kingdom shay hahaha .
Be mute afonja n avoid lies. Oba Akiolu has plainly said he hails from bini kingdom and he's not yoruba. Be quiet.
Every part of lagos belongs to Bini people, every yoruba man in any part of lagos migrated from oyo, oshogbo, ogbomosho, etc
U cant mention a single Yoruba politician that has led any post in lagos politics that does not come from Ogun, Kwara, Osun and the rest.
IPOB say that Biafra includes the Niger Delta South-South states.
On the basis that Igbos and the south-south people are ''brothers''.
But there have been no genetic studies showing that an Efik man or Ogoni man is any more a ''brother'' to an Igbo man than say, a Bini, Hausa, or Yoruba man.
One suspects that this IPOB claim to ''brotherhood'' with the south-south is based more on economic considerations ie oil and gas, than an actual belief by the Igbos of their genetic links to the south-south.
Unity begging mumu, the largest n most populated tribe by a large margin in that ur useless niger delta is IGBO.
SE equally has an unprecedented proven deposits of crude oil and gas....Crude oil will even become obsolete soon.
Olatunji1929: If your bro is not a criminal he will be released but being a MD of an oyel company doesn't mean that your brother can not be a criminal dem no dey right am for face
Why are people with this kind of name usually hopeless?
PoloG: i dont in know why igbos like unneccessary argument... hausas are the most popul in nigeria followed by yorubas... apart from south east, where is igbo spoken indigenous to any?
Keep proving that yorubas don't travel.
Igbo people and IGBO langauge dominates Delta (50% IGBO) and rivers (75% IGBO).
IGBO is spoken in the IGBO territories in Kogi, Benue in d middle belt.
IGBO is spoken in ohaobu village in ukanafun local govt area in akwaibom state.
IGBO is spoken in Igbanke land in delta state.
IGBO is spoken by the Isobo IGBOs in cross river state.
There are 3 IGBO villages in Bayelsa state.
Millions of IGBO speakers also live in lagos and in many states away from IGBO land.
PoloG: oga Hausa population in nigeria is more than 50million... go and and check nigeria population statistics according to ethnic groups.. hausas are the most populous folowed by yorubas before igbos
Stop being totally ignorant...The moment u said POPULATION STATISTICS, U presented urself as someone who knows nothing about Nigeria...Nigerias population census is the greatest sham in world history. Nigerias population is less than 120 million so how will only hausa who exist in a few nigerian states be 50 million?
95% of yorubas are in SW and 5% are outside SW so it's easy to estimate their population. Each of the 6 Yoruba states (minus lagos and plus Kwara) represents just 3+ million people per state and that's average of 20 million yorubas at home.
