If it is true that because you do not pay your tithe that is why one will loose such an amount of money, meaning pastors would have long lost their congregation long time ago, because the congregation is the source of their income. and yet pastors do not pay tithe.

Tithing will not make you rich/richer nor make you go to hell or heaven.

People do not be deceived, these guys knows whats up, i believed that these pastors are absolutely richer than any of their church members. yet they do not pay tithe and the members who kill themselves to pay tithe are still not millionaires as the pastors promised them. BE WISE!!!

hahahahahahahaahahahahahahah. Yaradua can not invite all the pastors in Nigeria. But they made a mistake by inviting those that were invited. Oyedepo might end up selling healing anointing oil to Yaradua and the rest of the pastors will just re-site their written prayers that's all i think they did. A normal believer could pray a healing prayers for yaradua and God will still honour it. Yaradua can attend the healing school of Chris and maybe they will teach him how to get well.

Christ embassy members are still my co-members am still worshiping there presently i will not not break their heads anyway. Its all about business these days. David oyedepo is a smart guy, if he has developed a shelf of anointing oils for different purpose namely (oil for pregnancy, oil for prosperity, oil for husband and all that) with their price tag and our Nigerian brethren are purchasing it like no mans business men he meant business, his son need to oversee that empire of anointing oil co-operation.

This is purely Nigerian Christianity. They have list of things that should be sin apart from what the Bible have outlined as a sin. Smoking will not separate you from God, "Jesus said not what comes into you that defiles you but what comes out of you" If you say it will make brethren fall away from the faith, your prosperity can also make brethren fall away if they are not getting as much as you get, what do you do about that then ?

Not only smoking destroys the body, even too much exercise can ruin your body tissues.

I have read your posts and answers to those who have reacted. I fully agree with you, sad enough I started worshiping at Christ embassy not too long ago here in Holland and i worshiped in one of the branches. Not everybody worshiping there knows their left and right i must confess. After worshiping there for a short while i noticed some things that where not scriptural OK and I reacted here on NAIRALAND. But along the line I Begin to see things which i could not reconcile with. Much emphasis is not laid on tithe and offering because of this I was beginning to say why the financial criticism ? before long it downed on me that they have their own style which other churches have not discovered yet on how to raise fund.

2. Partnership offering
3. Rapsody of reality offering
3. Tithe
4. Normal church offering

All these offering is every sunday collection from members with a special envelop.

The pastor of the church has a very subtile way of presenting prosperity message, you must know the Bible not to fall a victim of that. hear this!!!!
"Jesus was motivated to raise Lazarus from the dead because the sister of Lazarus (Mary) blessed Jesus with a very expensive alabaster box oil" Meaning the woman gave a gift to Jesus and Jesus in return raised her brother from the dead. Pls read John 11:1---end

On the thanks given day last year this same man make us believe that he gave 10,000 euro as a thanksgiving offering that the year before he gave 5000 and next year he planned to give 20000. And to demonstrate this he sent for the financial secretary to bring his own thanksgiving envelop to the front of the church and it was a big envelop actually wether the said money was there or not we do not know. This strategy is a professional one.

Pastor Chris wife will soon come to Holland, guess what? every church member should contribute 15 euro each for her visitation because they plan to take her out in limo and in choice Hotel, the way this contribution was announced is what you do not want to hear. 16 couple where supposed to be marring that same day this announcement was made, these couple standing behind the pastor waiting to kiss their bride and groom but the announcement of Pastor Anita's coming overshadow everything and the pastor eventually forgot to tell them to kiss their bride until the service was over.

I do not need to talk about the lifestyle of the members of the church because am not to judge, but i noticed one thing that the congregation do not know the Bible but rather prefer Rhapsody of reality, so they can be told anything and it will be accepted without finding out if its true.[/b]

If you see the way they reacted to this post you will perfectly understand that they do not know much of what they are doing, na follow follow them be. They can die for Chris and the Church but will not give a dam about the Holy scripture that is been grossly manipulated for selfish purpose. If this is true then this guy needs to pay tax, and the EFCC needs to step in and carry out some investigation on how things are been run in this empire. For not paying tax all these while he should go to jail for it to serve as detriment to others.

If this is true, why then are they still milking the members every now and then to make contributions on every event. Rhapsody is yielding a lot of income as we can see, yet money is constantly being raised to finance the publishing of the book. Does the GOC himself pay tithe of all these wealth? NO. No amount of proof will ever make stiff necked people like you to open your eyes and let the truth set you free. Know the word of God by yourself and be free. Man is not God and God is not a man. The churches should also be fingered in this crime scenario. Prosperity preachers have made it so easy for these unrepentant criminals to thrive in their act, by telling them fake lies that the more they give the more they receive, underminding how they got their wealth.

People are saying i should rather preach the gospel than saying things like this, this reminds me that they did not understand what the gospel means in the real sense. I have heard a lot of criticism of CEC i have never made a wrong comment on any, but at a time i decided to find out myself and i was able to figure out what those blind followers are not seeing. And for those of you defending CEC may God forgive you, you do not even have a good defence but rather using abusive words even Pastor Chris wouldn't do that he is a gentle man and a child of God.

These guys using abusive words are mealy defending the denomination while I am defending the sincere milk of the word of GOD so that we will all grow thereby.

Only few of you that have commented on this thread do really understand what i meant. This has nothing to do with Joblessness, as a Dutch citizen am entitle to 900 euro every month even without me having to do anything throughout the whole month this said amount goes to my account, that is what they called "social". Besides it will suprise some of you that am fully employed as a software developer I studied "System Engineering" and i have a good job. Apart from this am a born again christian.

But it surprised me that nobody even comment on the fact that the Bible is being twisted to motivate people to give, my question is IS IT TRUE THAT JESUS RAISED LAZARUS FROM THE DEATH BECAUSE MARY GAVE EXPENSIVE PERFUM ? Giving is good, but not as the man of God put it, that is wrong.

Nobody comment on the 16 couple waiting to kiss their bride and the pastor was rather interested in the coming of Anita pastor Chris wife, and spent more than 1hr compelling people to donate towards her coming, if you where there and very sensitive you would realised that the 16 couple with their ceremonial dressing who are active members of the church were virtually put aside and they where waiting indefinitely for the pastor to announce "you may kiss your bride"
