Babastrong: Sincerely speaking. i found it difficult to understand why igbos are hiding behind osinbajo's shadow. 1. Do they not have son or daughter that can contest for presidency? 2. Why can't they present him/her and ask other tribes to support him massively. 3. Have they forgotten that osinbajo is a yoruba man?
you mean the man that released this speech is an Igbo man?
eph12: The only reason Ole didn't lose the dressing room was because of the goal he scored in 1999. Rauf don't have that luxury, so he can't afford to gamble. He has to tweak with sense. His CV is not that good to command the respect from fans and non-fans
Imagine Maguire talking about a player that's not droppable LMAO
Let's sign the Ajax coach ahead of the new season. We can't keep up with these experiments. Let's get a young manager with some track record of quality football on time so he has all his in/out transfers and some tactics figured out before we start another season. Rauf 6 months can't be enough to foster his pressing system since some of our current players are bigger than him and that's being honest. What can help him not have a disaster right now is buying some midfielders this January capable of doing serious donkey jobs for him till May. He will be better as a sports director for us. As for Maguire, even his girlfriend won't take his opinion on the United squad seriously.
DeadPresidents: Really liked the year awards idea from the Gooners thread. Will drop my own take here
1. Best United player 2. Best Young player (youth players only) 3. Best goal 4. Best fan on this thread 5. Best troll (non-United fans) on this thread.
For me, I'll go with:
1. Has to be Edinson Cavani for me. The only one who has not been consistently terrible over spathes of time. The only argument against him is he keeps getting injured.
2. I'd go with Shola Shoretire. Hannibal was injured mostly.
3. Alex Telles strike against Young Boys. Timely and stylish too.
4. Oas.is007. Always kept us updated with training pics. Kudos
5. Nihilis.tjnr. The "Alain Devil-Maximin" quip was funny as a muthaf.
Y'all can add yours
1. Bruno Fernandes
2. Shola Shoretire certainly
3. Pogba against Fulham (completes a comeback) Cavani against Fulham, Greenwood against Newcastle & Telles against Young Boys (worthy mentions)
TrebleChamp: Rangnick and the board see a better and cheaper player in Bissouma, but would rather pay £100m (if rumour is true) on another overhyped Declan Rice. United's problem seem more spiritual than physical
the rumor can't be true. even an imb'ecile will not pay 100m for Rice.
DeadPresidents: You can't convince me our players can fit into Ragnick's 4-2-2-2 without a preseason at least. Some players also need to be binned permanently for this to work.
4-2-2-2 is a formation that relies on forwards with precise laser-guided passing (and ball control) in the final third as the amount of space available is limited.
Leipzig under Rangnick did that. It's easier when you have ballers with appreciation of space like Emil Forsberg.
then Donny can play this way. why is he not in the team yet? wan Bissaka is out for good reason. Fred should be out too. Varane had a poor display yesterday but he's just returning from injury. he and Lindelof have got good long passing from the back, they can be first choice partnership. Martial is also a player who can work the ball in small spaces and his short passing is better than Rashford. I would have advocated for him in this system but the lad seem really uninterested. our strikers have good movements, we need more than one creative passer to find them consistently. until Fernandes went to the middle last night, we created almost nothing from the midfield. Ralf should got out there and buy midfielders who can work in his system, or implement a system that can work with the current players. i don't think there will be middle grounds.
nitrogen: Omo, there is no way Bruno will thrive well in this 4-2-2-2 system. Maybe, when Pogba is back, he can play that role and Bruno should partner Ronaldo upfront.
it's a new system for many of the players, you can't tell. this look more of a 4 2 3 1 though.
indiscipline. he was going the way of Januzaj with how Ole was being a jolly good fellow to everyone. look at him now, already thinks he's too big to sacrifice for the team!!!
Oasis007: You know this, yet you thought I'm hating on him. He's being playing like he has his Mind somewhere else.
He needs to be more focused on his primary Responsibilities as a football Player. There is no Crime in his Charity work, but he needs to start dropping Goals and Assists.
his primary concern right now is adding ceremony titles behind his name
Oasis007: Manchester United are working to appoint Ewan Sharp as new assistant coach and analyst. Former Toronto FC, Sharp would join Man Utd from Lokomotiv Moscow - Rangnick is on it after Kieran McKenna decided to leave and start new Ipswich chapter.
- Fabrizio Romano
this guy is stylishly clearing the backroom staff for his.
CrystalTiger: So its Liverpool and City again for the epl title..Maybe they should just be playing themselves for the whole 38 matches since other clubs no wn get sense
Liverpool came 3rd last season... and it's still some way to go.
we will need a new striker next season. Cavani will be gone (may get another year extension) Martial will be gone Ronaldo will be 37 Rashford is Rashford Greenwood still has room for development.
I'd rather we avoid Haaland and the baggage that will travel with his acquisition. what is our opinion on Vlahoic? seem very good on the ball.
Bruno and Sancho need to create better chances. Rashford need to look up on time. he's getting into good positions but picking the wrong options. our defence have been solid lately.
the team did ok. so many new faces playing together for the first time. big ups to Mengi. Donny as well was pretty sharp aside the misplaced pass. Amad shows promise. his consistency need to improve and he has a big future ahead. Elanga should do better with his chances.
the press have obviously been injected with some drive, coordination can be better. there were still moments of a front four press, yet a withdrawn defensive unit behind maybe due to tiredness. i think our subs should have come on quicker especially in midfield. our concentration throughout the game as well need to better. a much better display over all.
Lana1: Omo. I thought Maguire's suspension was 3 games. Nawa.
These coaches must be watching different games because I dont understand why someone as useless as Maguire will just get back into the team like that captain or not
nepotism. what else? he, alongside Shaw - who'd return back to the line up as soon as he's able as well, has been the worst players in that team this season. a team that has conceded more than they've scored, despite having de gea on some superman levels. this speak volume about the coaches' knowledge of management basics. where's the fuckin room for competition? we were even hoping Carrick has more sense. blatant nonsense!
