Our hearts and thoughts are with Peter obi at this moment.

It is of great regret to watch how a man will depend on social media kids, bunch of jobless miscreants who see the rally as fun-party and where to meet hookup girls vice-versa, inconjuntion with ignorant beer-parlour adults for votes. Someone should tell them that this is a serious election matter, not carnival for godsake!.

Everyday they keep dishing out '2million march colourful pictures' , everyday! . But the question is:

Are they eligible voters?
Do they have Pvc's?
Will they come out to vote??

Peter Listen, You are nothing but just cruise to them, not different from a bbnaija show or those fun Endsarz party we hosted those time.

Always remember i warn you, Peter

At least, they gathered for him without being paid. They are standing for something unlike some people who would gather because of #1000.

My suggestion was not meant for you. It was meant for a broad minded football fan. I was only suggesting a solution to the problem.

The basis for national team selection should and is mostly based on consistent outstanding top level performance in your club and league.

If you played youth football you need to transfer that skill set to the senior game it's not an be assumption.

In 2009 Nigeria played the U17 world cup at home, out uncle almost won it.

The Brazilian team didn't go far in the competition but thier players have like Coutinho and Neymar to mention a few .

What I am implying is that since we have identified the problem of the team, besides lack of creativity in the midfield, the goalkeeping department is the other problematic one. I felt any serious person in the NFF should have shown intetest in Udoh( u-17 world cup winner) and helped him build a good career to solve our goalkeeping problems. The guy has height, good reflexes coupled with the fact that he was a world cup winner. It would have really helped his confidence.De gea is a case study.

I don't think Remo's Bankole can do that nonsense Okoye did yesterday.

Honestly, these home-based keepers are better than these foreign based. Unlike these foreign based that got into the Supereagles on a platter of gold, the home-based work very hard for their call-ups. I will put part of the blame in the NFF. The goalkeeper of the 2015 victorious u-17 should have been monitored by the NFF. He should have been helped in securing a good club in Nigeria and made an understudy in the Supereagles since 2015. By now, he would have been exposed to top-flight football.

Dan,not might be our biggest undoing is understatement but has been our biggest undoing for past 7 years now, it cost us afcon and world cup qualification.

I just don't know why Alloy Agu ex goalkeeper trainer find it so difficult to get it right.Just check it out,Akpeyi,Ezenwa,Uzoho and Okoye, non of these keepers exude confidence.

If ordinary university coach can gave us Enyeama,Ejide and Aiyenigba, pls what are we saying....fact Enyeama had only Kenya friendly as his first international experience and made 2002 WC based on his calmness in goalposts and kept against England. It was after 2002 WC,Enyeama started having intercontinental experience with Enyimba ditto Ejide and later Aiyenigba joined the duo.

You are spot on. The good keepers Nigeria had in the past were from the NPFL. Why is it difficult for these goalkeeper trainners to pick from the league?

Aloy Agu himself did not inspire any confidence back then in the Super eagles. He was pathetic at Algiers '90 and Senegal '92. It was his poor showing that made Westerhoff to bring back Wildred Agbonivbare before eventually settling for Rufai. So what positive impact do you expect from such a goalkeeper trainner. You need to see the goal Aloy Agu conceeded against Cameroun in the third place match of Senegal 92.

Family / Re: How I Survive On A Salary Of 95k As A Married Man by gannod(m): 10:27am On Aug 22
tomtomastom4:
I created this thread in response to the post on front page about ladies that date men who earn less than 100k. Below is the link.

https://www.nairaland.com/7292274/ladies-relationship-men-earns-100k

Of a truth, its not easy to manage such amount, but when one is already in such situation, you just have to manage and improvise.
Now like the OP of the above thread requested, here is the break down of how we make our expenses.

To start with, I was earning about 130k previously before we got married by March this year, but I changed job and the pay of the new job is 95k. STarted the new job around Feb this year, even though there was a loan I was paying off.. Need I add that my wife was working in a firm where shes paid 45K, but two months after our married, she quit the job due to pregnancy stress. Am sure ladies will understand.

This is our break down.
Monthly salary 95k
I remove 40k first from the salary and transfer it to 3 different acct.
The first acct receives 20k. This acct is not touchable except on extreme emergency. Its our main savings acct.
The second acct gets 10k and its for our rent, also non touchable. Rent is 150k per year. Before u say my rent is high compared to my salary, I like my privacy very well. and the cost of rent isnt friendly in my state.
The third acct also gets 10k. This one is for semi savings. This acct is touchable when cash at hand have been exhausted before the next month salary.

From the remaining 50k,
I send 10k to my family acct. I and my brothers do contribute 10k+ every month and its been used to run expenses WRT our parents and last born.
I gv my wife 10k for her monthly up keep. Its small. But its the sacrifice we all have to make for the good of the family.
I hold 10k myself for logistics and transport. I must confess, is not enough. But One have to strive. My wrk place isnt far. SO transport is N100 to and fro, thats approximately 3k per month. The remaining money i use it for other logistics. 4k out of this money goes for gas wch last for abt 2 weeks. And when we want to refill and there is no other money left, we fall back to the 3rd acct.
The remaining 20k is strictly for food ( On this food issue is where I "duff my hart" cos shes really managing things well and trying.
Sometimes, I really feel for her, cos this her pregnancy makes her to crave for things that is not on our food menu, but then when the money is not there, she just surpress the cravings. At times I feel bad.

The remaining 5k, for now is used to pay back a tailor who sewed multiple pregnancy gowns for my wife.

Its good to add that any small money I make like 1k or 2k on side hustle, I directly buy mudu of rice, beans or flour for swallow.

Its not easy at all. But there are families with kids leaving below that.

My wife is abt 5mnths pregnant, we plan to divert the 20k savings to buying baby things in preparation for child birth.

The truth is that the economic situation in this country is bad and so cost of leaving is very high. But then one have to survive.
But then in Nigeria now, how many percentage of the population earn above 100k. In fact how many jobs out there pays such as amount.

The only advice I have for ladies is that if you are not working and you parent family is the type need financial help from your husband after marriage, or you are the type of lady that is high class and wont settle for less or manage with your man. Plz kindly wait and take your time to look for a man that is RICH or financially capable of taken care of you and maybe your family. Please dont hide under the cover of you want to marry quick and then accept a struggling man only to start putting pressure on his head. Plz wait and marry a rich man.

Most responsible men wont really appreciate it if you are always demanding for things you knw fully well that he can not afford.

It is also good to note that no condition is permanent, things will definitely get better. A better job might come or my wife might get a job after her maternity which will increase our income.

The bottom line is, as a couple, but of you will have to work things out to improve your finances.

May God bless you

Romance / Re: I Slept With My Ex And I Think My Husband Knows by gannod(m): 5:16pm On Aug 17
daylay7:
I was in love with this guy so much that we do everything together. Aside from the fact that we share the same goals, religion put us far from each other. He was a muslim and I, a christian. I loss my virginity to him (we were both naive in that practice anyway). My parents forbid me and we drifted apart but I loved him still.

I met another guy afterward who shares the same belief with me and we got married three years later. Infact, my ex came for the wedding and celebrated me even during the reception( my husband already know his story and was not surprised when he saw him at the wedding).

A year after the birth of my son, I had an official assignment in another location where my ex's sister resided and because I could not complete the assignment that day, I decided to sleep over at her place. But on getting there, I saw my ex sitting in the living room. It was already late as at that time and I couldn't go back or book for a hotel and I decided to chilled out, telling myself that nothing must happen between us that day. undecided My greatest mistake!

The apartment was just 3 bedroom. A master bedroom for the sister, a room for the children and the other for a visitor. Now we are having two visitors who once shared a thing for each other. cry My ex invited me into the room but I declined telling him I would rather sleep on the floor in the living room or he should bring a matrass for me. He brought the mattress in the visitors room into the living room and we both slept on it. One thing led to another in the middle of the night.... cry cry cry cry cry . And it happened! Coincidentally, my husband called at that time. I had to switched off my phone.

When I got back home the next day, I apologized to my husband that I had a flat battery and he didn't say anything but my husband never looked at me the same again. He never quarreled or said anything even after couple of years later. But the way he talks sometimes as if he kws I am hiding a secret from him and he wants me to open up to him. My fear is that if I should open up, I might lose my marriage and my family. What happened between my ex and I was a one time thing. I never went back or saw him again. It has been 10 years now and I am still feeling bad about it especially when he talked about cheating couple.

This feeling is eating me up. I don't know if I should still open up to him or I should forever remain silent about it....

cc: Relationship matters

Open up to your husband about your indescretion. It is better to open up now than to tarry. I was once in your shoes and I did the right thing, I asked God for forgiveness and went to my spouse and I confessed everything to her. It was not easy, but I did it.

You are spot on. I wonder what Ogun state governor is doing concerning the issue of kidnapping. He should as a matter of urgency place a ban on it.

Good. Those terrorists masquerading as Okada riders from the North can now take their Okadas back to where they came from. You can not destroy your region with terrorism and banditry, and think you can do same in the Southwest. Infact, the southwest govt should place a complete ban on it.
