Florida has strict money laundering laws... they will likely forfeit those properties except they provide evidence to prove the funds used to purchase the properties aren't laundered.
I said it the moment Wike went after Sowore trouble was bound to follow. Is he the only minister in the cabinet that must always respond or be on air? Some ministers haven’t even appeared on Arise or Channels once since this government began. I honestly don’t know what he’s trying to prove. They still don’t like him, and deep down they know he’s very treacherous. When the time is right, they’ll dump him without hesitation.

Foreign AffairsRe: Germany Revokes A Palestinian's Citizenship For Supporting Hamas Online by gare(f): 11:31am On Oct 15, 2025
BlackViper:
A Palestinian will have his newly acquired German citizenship revoked after posting a photo showing support for Hamas, writes The Telegraph.

A day after celebrating the arrival of his German passport, the man, referred to only as Abdallah, uploaded a photo to Instagram showing Hamas fighters with the caption "heroes of Palestine."

Shortly afterwards, he received a letter from Germany's Interior Ministry stating that his citizenship had been revoked, according to local newspaper Bild.

Germany has gone further than most European countries to punish support for Hamas and curb pro-Palestinian support, out of what it sees as a historic obligation to Israel and to right the injustices of its Nazi past, the Telegraph reports.

In 2024, it reformed its citizenship laws to require applicants to respect "its free democratic order and Germany's special historical responsibility" towards Jewish life.

New questions were also added to the German citizenship test regarding Jewish life and Israel's "right to exist."

Two eastern German states have forced applicants to write clearly that they believe in "Israel's right to exist as a place of refuge for all people of Jewish faith."

At least ten people in the state of Saxony-Anhalt had their applications rejected after failing to complete that section.

While Germany has blocked the path to citizenship based on an applicant's refusal to recognize Israel as a state, Abdallah's case is believed to be one of the few cases where citizenship has been revoked.

It is not clear whether he will be deported, given that Germany does not recognize Palestine as a state.

They should just share the 10k among themselves, gold diggers. Let this be a lesson to others: start transferring your wealth to your parents, not to people who only show up for what they can get. All those confessions of love were clearly fake. If the love was real, they wouldn’t have to ask the man himself would’ve given something substantial from his heart.

PoliticsNigeria's Mark Zuckerberg - Seun Osewa (founder Of Nairaland by gare(op): 9:19am On Oct 14, 2025
Seun Osewa, born July 17, 1982, is a Nigerian internet entrepreneur best known for creating Nairaland, one of Africa’s most visited online forums. He hails from Ogun State, Nigeria.

He enrolled at Obafemi Awolowo University in 1998 to study Electrical Engineering but did not complete his studies. Before starting Nairaland, he attempted to build a web-hosting business in 2003, which closed after three months due to lack of funds. Determined to succeed, he continued experimenting with online ventures and eventually launched several small discussion forums in late 2003, covering topics such as student life, IT, and the emerging GSM/telecom industry.

In March 2005, Seun officially launched Nairaland as a general-purpose discussion forum designed for Nigerians both at home and abroad. Its wide coverage of politics, entertainment, technology, social issues, romance, and everyday life set it apart from existing platforms. Over the years, Nairaland has attracted millions of users and has been monetised primarily through advertisements and direct ad deals.

Despite the platform’s success, Seun has maintained a low public profile. He is recognised as one of Nigeria’s most influential tech entrepreneurs, yet continues to live quietly, keeping details of his personal life private while running one of the continent’s most impactful online communities.

Update (credit to Mutairu Umoru ):

He declined an offer to buy the platform from two different parties:
- Initial Offer: In 2010, some investors offered to buy Nairaland for $1 million, approximately ₦150 million at the time. Seun Osewa turned down this offer.
- Recent Offers: More recently, two individuals have made offers to buy Nairaland:
- Stephen Akintayo: Offered ₦1 billion ($2.4 million), with 20% cash and 80% land.
- Gaius Chibueze (Bitcoin Chief): Offered ₦150 million.

It's worth noting that Seun Osewa reportedly values Nairaland at ₦25 billion. Today, estimates suggest Nairaland is worth around $50,604,264.32 (₦20.5 billion to ₦25 billion, depending on conversion rates)

At the same time, discourage actions that inflame the situation, such as staged confrontations at sea. Leadership must rise above rhetoric put humanitarian concerns first
PoliticsRe: Ndume To Tinubu: I Don't Mind If You Act Like A Dictator, Dissolve PENGASSAN by gare(f): 11:39am On Sep 30, 2025
ogascomax:
So that means they should allow Dangote to treat Nigeria workers the way he wants because he built the refinery as a private owner. Whether private or government they must be guided by the law of the land regarding engaging and disengaging workers. Apart from what Dangote is doing many workers are suffering in the hands of many employers without protection. Many a time people will work and employers will find reason not to pay you and to sack you. Some employers have become so notorious about such a behaviour. They were a time that my brother worked for a lady. Time to pay him she told him if she gave him employment letter.
You can easily take sides in this matter but since you are not working in that refinery you will be standing with Dangote but those who are working and suffering there will say otherwise.
Someone said did they force them to work. Sometimes I wonder how people reason.
Don't be childish in thinking.
How has Dangote treated Nigerian workers? Have you ever heard of widespread complaints about his employees’ welfare before now? I personally know a friend who left the oil and gas sector to join Dangote Cement, and today, he is doing very well. PENGASSAN and their allies cannot force Dangote into unionism. In fact, if I were Dangote, I would not hesitate to let go of any workers still trying to push union politics inside his private business.

This is a private enterprise, not a government establishment. Even in the oil and gas sector where I work, we are not part of any union, yet we handle major projects without interference. Why then is PENGASSAN not forcing us to join them? It clearly shows that there is a hidden agenda somewhere, and the whole noise is just an attempt to frustrate Dangote and his investments.

Instead of chasing private businesses, PENGASSAN should focus on fixing the refineries and establishments already under their watch, which have been left to die. Dangote’s success should be an encouragement for more private investment, not an excuse for unnecessary union battles

CareerRe: Dangote Refinery Sacks Nigerian Employees For Joining PENGASSAN by gare(f): 1:17pm On Sep 26, 2025
Are Dangote workers themselves complaining of poor welfare? If not, then union leaders should take their unionism elsewhere. Let’s be clear before becoming union members, these individuals were first Nigerians, so whatever bad policies the government introduces affect them just like every other citizen. The truth is, unions in this country have rarely delivered real benefits to their members. I was once part of one, so I know firsthand that the leaders enrich themselves while the ordinary members gain nothing.
CareerRe: Dangote Refinery Sacks Nigerian Employees For Joining PENGASSAN by gare(f): 9:22am On Sep 26, 2025
These are some of the reasons we don’t see enough investors coming into our country not because opportunities are lacking, but because of how issues are handled. We must be very careful with how the situation with Dangote is managed, as it sends a strong signal to the global business community. Other investors are watching closely, and the way this matter is resolved will either build confidence or drive them away.
CareerRe: Dangote Refinery Sacks Nigerian Employees For Joining PENGASSAN by gare(f): 8:58am On Sep 26, 2025
Helloworld123:
1. The union is not created to make impact on ordinary Nigerian. Nigerians, when tired, will rise up and make their voices heard.

2. Freedom of association is a right guaranteed by the constitution. It is Dangote who should leave his staff alone to express their fundamental right.

3. If you or Dangote has a problem with it, you would need to amend the constitution. That's where the focus should be.
They should forget all this union drama it has clearly not helped ordinary Nigerians. Look at Dangote’s cement companies: he ran them without union interference and they’re performing far better than most government establishments weighed down by union politics.

Dragging unionism into a private business is unnecessary and destructive. Freedom of association doesn’t mean holding someone’s company hostage; the owner has every right to protect his business and let go of anyone disrupting productivity. Instead of stifling progress with endless demands and strikes, unions should focus on fixing the dead government-run refineries and other collapsing sectors where their influence has failed.

Private businesses that create jobs and contribute to the economy should be allowed to thrive without being strangled by outdated union tactics.

BlackViper:

Oga, they’re confirmed punishment, but don’t solve problems by taxing people to death. Improve the economy first before piling more taxes on citizens. Nigerians will pay taxes willingly when they feel secure and comfortable; what matters is that taxes translate into reliable services and opportunities.

Provide the basics that make people comfortable: good roads, stable power, affordable healthcare, quality education, and honest policing. Most importantly, ensure tax revenues are spent transparently and used for the public good not siphoned off by politicians or used to silence dissent. Introduce targeted, fair taxation, invest in job creation and small-business support, and strengthen accountability mechanisms so citizens can see real returns on what they pay.

If the government wants compliance, it must earn trust through performance, fairness, and visible anti-corruption action then people will gladly contribute to nation-building
CareerRe: Dangote Refinery Sacks Nigerian Employees For Joining PENGASSAN by gare(f): 8:04am On Sep 26, 2025
PENGASSAN should leave Dangote alone. The Dangote Refinery is a private business, not a union-run venture. Instead of targeting him, focus on the government-owned refineries under your members’ management — most of which are non-functional.

If PENGASSAN truly wants to make an impact, push the government to revive Nigeria’s refineries. Ordinary citizens gain nothing from endless strikes; they only enrich union leaders while making life harder for the people. Nigerians need solutions, not distractions.

What do they stand to gain from Slovenia?
It’s worth asking what real benefits come from outside actors who claim to support Palestine. Those who glorify Hamas are using the Palestinian struggle as a cover for other agendas. It may be best to allow them to do their job, rather than take it upon yourself. Otherwise, such actions may only bring unnecessary pressure and insults upon you.
