Travel › Re: She Is Sad Because Her Application For A Morrocan Visa Was Denied by gare(f): 8:18am On May 08 |
Tinahhh4222: I’m so heartbroken right now. Why is Morocco embassy treating Nigerians this way. I hope the Morocco embassy sees this. I applied for a visa to see my fiance who is from the Netherlands and he was my sponsor we were supposed to spend time together today in Marrakech but I can’t be there because my visa was denied. I’m thinking of committing suicide and I hope I will be born again as a white woman.
Why are Nigerians with uk visa and Schengen visa granted an E-visa and why others without it have to go stress of going to the embassy and still get denied. Being a black woman from Nigeria is really difficult.
The funny part is I had all document, I’m law student and I had no reason to not come back to my country and they just denied me without any reason. I understand you’re disappointed about the visa denial, but taking your life over it would only make things worse, especially if you’ve struggled emotionally before. There are still other options to explore. Since your boyfriend is from the Netherlands, he could try applying for a Schengen visa first, which may help with future Moroccan visa applications or travel plans together. And if that doesn’t work out immediately, both of you are always welcome to visit Port Harcourt no visa issues there. Try not to lose hope; setbacks like this can still work out differently with time and the right approach. |

Politics › Re: Wike To Pastor Serah Omaku: Jabi Lake Takeover Stands Even If God Comes Down by gare(f): 4:15pm On May 06 |
ogododo: Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has defended the intervention at Jabi Lake, a popular recreation park in Abuja, ordering a crackdown on substandard developments around the park.
The Minister said this in his reaction to the appeal of Rev Serah Omaku, Senior Pastor of Family Worship Centre, Abuja.
Daily Trust had reported how the preacher knelt on the pulpit, pleading with Wike not to repossess the land.
A video of the Pastor’s appeal went viral on social media.
But speaking during a media chat in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike dismissed the Pastor’s concerns, insisting that enforcement action at Jabi Lake was guided by law, not sentiment.
“You talk about the woman kneeling down and begging. I’m not carried away by such emotions. Begging to do what? Who owns Jabi Lake? How does it become your own? First of all, I came on board; that place was given to a company that said they wanted to turn it into an entertainment place, but they have turned it into shanties.”
“One of these days I went there and said, ‘This can’t be; there is a hotel, and who would come to stay in that hotel when there are shanties all over?’ You don’t know if there are criminals.”
He stated that the allocation had been revoked and would be reassigned to investors with the capacity to develop the site, adding that strict conditions would guide the new arrangement.
“You cannot allocate land and leave it for that long with nothing to show. We revoked it. Now we want to give it to people who are ready to develop it,” Wike said.
“We will reallocate the land with clear conditions. If there is no development within the specified time, we will take it back.
“To the woman who was crying, if she likes, let her call God to come down. What is my business? How does Jabi become hers? Is it an individual or government property? We are trying to make sure investors develop this land for the interest of all of us.”
Wike said several plots around the lake, initially allocated for high-end developments, had remained undeveloped for over a decade and had since deteriorated into makeshift settlements.
The minister confirmed that the FCT Administration had begun revoking such allocations, signalling a tougher stance against land speculation in the capital city.
“You must sign to develop within a given period. If you fail, the land returns to government. It is as simple as that,” he added.
Wike, however, rejected suggestions that the exercise is intended to restrict public access to the lake, clarifying that the focus is on reclaiming misused or abandoned land.
“We are not taking anything from the public. We are reclaiming land from those who failed to do what they were supposed to do or who converted it to unauthorised uses,” he said.
He also decried the distortion of approved land use, citing instances where recreational spaces were converted without authorisation.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi May Be The Biggest Loser In 2027 by gare(f): 10:17am On May 06 |
Validated: I love Peter Obi, but I think his latest move was a fatal political suicide.
With NDC splitting opposition votes, APC has a greater chance for reelection come 2027. Except ADC loses its cases, and it is deregistered or leadership handed over to Nafiu Bala Gombe, the opposition will again split its about 16m votes into two and hand presidency back to Tinubu.
Come 2031, power will shift to the North naturally, meaning Obi cannot contest. The coast would then be clear for Kwankwaso and Atiku to slug it out.
All those supporting PO move are selfish political rent seekers like the Okada rider, who used Obi to get to the NASS and later deflect.
My suggestion to Obi and NDC is this, reenergise the opposition by rekindling the coalition. If possible, allow ADC to present Atiku, so long as the the pending cases are resolved and a single term agreement is reached with Atiku. I mean, a furm written agreement signed by all parties. Otherwise, as it was in 2023, wherein LP coukd not man 40% of it polling units, NDC does not seem to have the structure to checkmste APC at the polls, so we are heading to the same argument of "we won, but our votes were stolen". Thereafter, the courts will do the needful.
As for Atiku, he should also put Nigeria interest above self. If AA feels the country is drifting into nothingness, he could shelve his ambition 2027, support a united opposition under NDC . Get Obi and Dickson in a room, trash out your differences, unify the opposition and take back power from APC. I thought this was the Ibadan Agreement. how is that your business, why dont you just mind your business and allow that be his concern and not your, focus on how you can sell your candidates to Nigerians and leave peter Obi alone. |

johnmartus: My candidacy advice to sim just move to NDC. I swear to God come hard on wike .you will surely defeat his hegemony in river. Tinubu can't even declare state of emergency right now because it will affect his second term ambition...Sim stand up and fight for your survival power is not come easy.
If i were sim by now wike can't even enter river state anymore I would have tamed his stupidity. Forget that he helped you to that position I believe that it's someone that helped him to get to where he is today. He doesn't need to move, Kelly wouldn't get the ApC ticket, that is why Wike has a plan B with PDP, which is actually his plan A he wants an ikwerre man to replace SIM, APC would give the ticket to SIM, so it's going to be SIM vs Chinda. And Chinda is not a match for SIM. |

I wonder if Peter Obi knew NDC too have existing legal issues, as you can tell from the INEC portal, in going there so that when katakata bursts, he will crank up the volume on his victimhood claim?
Why didn't he just register his own party straight after the elections in 2023 sef?
Anyway, I am intrigued by this movement withim a party situation, never worked in LP or ADC, why would it work here? Which legal issues? |
