Fair enough I believe the writer has made some very valid points which the LASG should look into.

However the issue of destitutes flooding a City like Lagos is a very difficult one to handle and as such the Administration has to make some tough decisions.

You can't have Destitutes pouring in daily from all 35 states and expect that they can be dealt with using conventional means.

Anyway, kudos to the writer for his well-articulated ideas and brilliant suggestions..

Jakumo: The details of what Jeeeesus did way back when he was captain of Jerusalem United are as irrelevant today as the save total Mohammed racked up as goalie for the Mecca Wanderers.

All that fascinating historical trivia is best left to dedicated places of worship, so that students in schools can get on with the practical business of mastering the sciences that are applicable to the real world TODAY.

Afam4eva:
Did you see that part in the interview? If supposed educatyed folks cannot see the sensation in the headline then i wonder what should be expected of market women.

The Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime on Tuesday said that he never regretted the fact that Nigerians particularly the people he governs were kept in the dark during his five-month absence insisting that he owed nobody any apology for keeping them guessing throughout the period

When reporting, some parts of the interview are paraphrased while some others are quoted verbatim.. The fact that he wasn't quoted verbatim (but paraphrased as was done above) doesn't mean he didn't say those words. If every single word he said were to be quoted verbatim, I wonder how many pages the report would occupy..

I doubt if a reputable Media outfit such as Channels tv would "manufacture" spurious words and credit them to A Governor..

Are you on drugs? what's the meaning of this gibberish?
The guy's job is a very challenging one. Defending an inept and corrupt failure isn't easy. Even the Great Beaf had to go on a self-imposed exile because he couldn't cope. So I wouldn't be surprised if Taharqa takes some drugs to help him cope with the physical, mental and emotional stress that comes with defending the inept one.

the GNP Ltd. should publish, without further delay, my article entitled: "BIAFRA: ODIA'S 'DEFENSE' OF THE INDEFENSIBLE"

So they didn't publish ur article that's what you define as partisanship.... SMH

Your write up above doesn't show that you're someone who has the ability to logically articulate his thoughts. Even "Linda Ikeji" will throw your article in the dust-bin.
So quit whining!

Go back to the drawing board and try to hone your writing skills, else your article will be perpetually rejected while you keep Crying "marginalisation" as it's engraved in your DNA to always play the victim....

So Premium times is now owned by El-Rufai abi??

Shebi when they broke news about an ACN governor's wife's arrest you guys didn't bother about who owns it. But because they've exposed the fact that our soldiers have become BEGGARS of RICE & MEAT in Mali you're calling El-Rufai.

Once again your diversionary tactics has failed. Face the topic:

WHY ARE OUR SOLDIERS BEGGING FOOD IN MALI?

But Mr. Man face the topic!!

Why not do your own investigation to disprove what's in the article??

Or is Premium times now "Hints" or "Ikebe Super" that I won't believe a report from them??

If they (Premium times) had published a negative report about Fashola, wouldn't you and ur fellow Jonathanians jump up and down like s e x - starved animals all over the place.

I Owe Nobody Any Apology For My Absence – Governor Chime

The Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime on Tuesday said that he never regretted the fact that Nigerians particularly the people he governs were kept in the dark during his five-month absence insisting that he owed nobody any apology for keeping them guessing throughout the period.

Mr Chime, who spoke to a select group of journalists at the Governor’s Lodge, Enugu said that he was hit by deadly cancer of the nose which he had to treat in a London hospital during his long period of absence from office.

The Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime

He described cancer as a deadly disease and added that its cure was deadly too.

“Cancer is a deadly disease and the cure is also deadly. The cure for cancer is not Panadol. The cure for cancer is not these drugs you buy off the counter. By the time you go through Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, you will be a changed person.

“So I started treatment and the treatment altogether lasted for twelve weeks. Throughout the period of my treatment, I was an outpatient. I was never admitted in any hospital. All my treatments, I took as an outpatient,” he said.

I can't discuss an article which you refused to refused to read (out of bias) with you. There would be no basis for the discussion..

I just got turned off the heading that read "The need for Achebe to be intelligent". Someone who makes such assertion deserves not to be taken seriously.

Since you've read the article why don't you tell us why you think Demola's account it the truth and that of Achebe is not. Pls be smart with your answers.

Mr. Man don't be lazy. Read through the article and attempt to disprove any seeming falsehood you find therein.

Interestingly, no one has come up with a sensible argument as to any inaccuracy in the above article. All I've been seeing on this thread is the usual gibberish from folks who feel insulted that their Hero is being exposed to be the Liar that he is..
