Mr. Man stop trying to be too clever by half. The Author of the article pointed out some deceitful items in Achebe's book. Why not disprove the writer's submission, instead of grasping at straws.

Damola, leave Achebe alone and stop seeking cheap popularity, this is the Sixth essay of him on Achebe i have read so Far
kinda reminds me of one Nichole gravity that sang "i want finish timaya" to become Famous

This isn't about popularity!!

It's about exposing lies and deceit published as fact by a supposed literary icon!!!

It's about the descent of Prof. Achebe from a literary legend to a bitter, deceitful liar with a mission of poisoning the mind of the younger generation thus fanning the embers of ethnic distrust and suspicion.

Achebe seeks to cause confusion in a country where he doesn't reside.

That my friend is what this thread is about!!

As expected folks have started foaming in the mouth, angry that someone has the audacity to expose the lies and deceit in a book written by their legend. Instead of disproving the points raised by the writer, they're asking for his achievements.

No matter how highly rated you are, the moment you start spreading poisonous lies and deceit, you lose your respect. It's sad, but that's where Achebe has put himself. He will be remembered for his bitterness, deceit and bigotry..

Nice article!!

I love the way this guy exposed Achebe's lies and deceit.

Achebe truly deserves his place in the "2012 Politics Section Hall of Shame".

What he calls a book is a "body of lies", meant to poison the minds of folks who lack the ability to reason rationally, folks blinded by ethnic bigotry and a supremacist mindset.

Politics / Re: My Monthly Security Vote As FCT Minister Was 600 Million Naira - Elrufai by GARRIx7(m): 1:30pm On Feb 12, 2013
GARRI (x7):
Sensible folks know that Reno's is a sly manipulating person whose stock-in-trade is lying and fact-spinning. Each time he opens his putrid, foul-smelling mouth he spews forth falsehood and half-truths which are meant to deceive gullible and fickle-minded simpletons who lack the capacity to sift fact from fiction.

Only a recalcitrantly stvpid dolt would believe a M0R0N like Reno...

loma: Reno is being very economical with the truth as usual with that comment on NaijaPundit. Let me quote you the exact part from the book;

Firstly he mentioned the amount in an early chapter when talking about the police in Abuja..

” Early in my ministerial tenure, a memo came to my desk requiring me to approve an eight million naira payment to the police. I asked what this was for and was told it was what the FCT ministry paid the police every month from our N600 million ‘security vote’ for the 2003 fiscal year. I asked to see the commissioner to ascertain why and what he needed the funds for……………………….So one of the first things we did was to approve his eight million naira, bought him 20 cars and many pickups….On the police commissioner’s suggestion, we commenced the design and roll-out of a phased closed circuit TV system that would cover the whole city footprint by 2010. All these were accomplished within 12 months of my reporting for duty in the FCT…”

Later on in the book, he says

“…A report from the FCT Immigration office of an observed influx of ‘North African and Arab’ nationals into Abuja a few months before the All Africa Games……I convened an emergency security meeting to get to the bottom of it. This is an instance where the ‘security vote’ is supposed to be used to facilitate the work of the SSS agents, and also pay off the ‘informants’- commercial sex workers, bartenders, hotel receptionists and the like.’

Politics / Re: Bombing Of Army College: Report Indicts Former Commander General Isah by GARRIx7(m): 8:04am On Feb 12, 2013
What exactly did he do wrong. The article gave no details as to specific reasons for his indictment.

Major General Isah according to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubike Ihejirika, was found wanting on negligence of duty even after getting reports of the attack at the college.

"Negligence of duty" is an ambiguous description of an offence.

My Question is: Which duty or task did he neglect??

MASSOB as an organisation should be disbanded with immediate effect. It's nothing but a highway to the grave (or prison for the lucky ones).

While the IGBO elites wine and Dine with the owners of Nigeria, enjoying opulence and leaving a flamboyant life, Uwazurike Raph goes about brainwashing gullible and senseless IGBO youths with the "mirage" called Biafra.

Only God knows how many of such youths he has lead to their untimely deaths or prison. The blood of these youths will haunt the leaders of MASSOB even in their graves..

RIP to the dead!!!

Keshi claims that he was sacked prior to their quarterfinal clash against Ivory Coast, because apparently the Nigerian Football Federation booked a plane back to Nigeria as soon as they found out that they will play Ivory Coast. However, Keshi claimed on Metro FM that he heard about the arrangement made by the NFF after the Mali game, and that he did not want to take it to mind as it would have affected his teams preparations.

I wonder if the OP didn't read the CLEAR reasons given by Keshi for his resignation. I wonder why these Pathetic IGBO f00ls(my apologies to the rational ones amongst them) view everything through the tribal lens.

Amodu Shuaibu helped the Super Eagles qualify for both the 2002 as well as the 2010 World Cup, yet he was fired and a foreign coach called in to lead the team to the World-Cup. Meanwhile he's the FIRST Indigenous Coach to qualify the Super Eagles for the World Cup.

Did we hear the anything about ethnicity?? Did we hear anything like Yorubas and Hausas hate Edos?? So where's the issue of ethnicity coming over the issue of Keshi's resignation??

NFF is composed of M0r0ns and fucktards with no idea of what sports management in the modern day entails. Self serving Mofos whose god is their bellies. These are the bas.tards that are killing our sports sector.

Thanks however to Keshi, his technical team as well as the Super eagles for being able to achieve this feat in spite of the negativity and ineptitude plaguing sports management in our nation today.

The Pope is to resign at the end of this month in an entirely unexpected development, the Vatican has confirmed.

The 85-year-old became Pope Benedict XVI in April 2005 following the death of John Paul II.

The reasons behind the pontiff's surprise resignation have yet to emerge.

At 78, the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was one of the oldest new popes in history when elected.

I suspect health reasons....

Gbawe: There is no need for all this toxic enmity displayed here. The bottom line is that politics remain about permanent interests. This is why those who don't understand this are killing themselves in the street over ethnic/political differences while David Mark is hosting banquets for ACN Senators in the USA while they all enjoy stupendous opulence provided by our commonwealth. Folks should inspect what Ohanaeze have said again:

It is a conditional statement asking APC to come and negotiate. While sentiments and emotions dominate the armoury of those doomed to fail, I think winners like Tinubu pragmatically will be thinking of ways to acommodate Ohanaeze if possible. It is not about summarily acceding to their demands or dismissing it outrightly. It is about meeting with them to see if common grounds can be forged. Some people have elections to win while most, from talks here, have ethnic battles to fight. Most of the influential guys in the APC won't be in the latter category.

Well Said!!!!
