The refusal letter is based on the fact that the applicatant did not provide a cover letter detailing information on the visit. If the visit is for tourism, then the applicant must provide a detail itinerary listing tourist location to visit, date of visit and why. Also the applicant must correct the mistake pointed out by the ECO on living expenses. If the applicant wish to reapply, he/she must read backward on this thead on how to package a tourist application. Many applicants with less income have gotten tourist visa by providing detail information on their visit as first time visitors.

Thanks ekpotek he included a detailed itinerary. Of his travel plans ,I’d try to send images of the documents included once I can get a hold of it.

my cousin was just refused a Uk visiting visa this am. Here is the refusal letter below. Documents he submitted were
1. 5 mth Bank statement wit opening balance of 1,480,036.53 ngn closing balance :2,133,104.32
2. 4 mth payslips
3.letter of introduction from place of work
4. Itinerary
5. Marriage certificate
6. Appointment letter
7. Aquarium and madam tussauds ticket for sigh seeing
8. Copy of company (he works for) business registration.
9. Copy of ID card
He works as an account exec and his monthly samary is 300k naira after taxes . Please kindly advise if he should reapply or let it be for now .thanks

Sirs, pls in the part of the form that says how much is available for ur trip. Am I supposed to write the sum of me and my husbands money? Or just what is in my own acc?
Also who is paying for ur trip....should I fill 'self' or my husband and I.?
My husband had 1.5M in his acc....I have 1.4M

This means how much u av for the trip not your entire savings, Make a budget of wat u plan spending..flight+hotel+expenses during the trip...note: do not over budget as this leads to refusal most times...good luck

My friend in Uk just helped me to book a hotel with his card right now. I just have some questions to ask regarding this cos am still filling the online form.
1. I want to state my total budget to be 1300GBP.
750 GBP for flight ticket
300GBP for feeding
250GBP for miscellaneous and transportation.
But the hotel my friend booked is on hold, will the embassy verify if the hotel booking is yet to be paid for? if so, that means i will have to state that accommodation is inclusive in the total amount?
Or should i go ahead with my above calculation? that's if they do not verify if the hotel booking is to be paid for.
Your urgent response will be highly appreciated.

Is ur monthly income equal to or above 1300£...from the little I've learnt on this forum a lot of qualified applicants get refused due to excess budgets for the trip. Dis is how I filled my form

....wen de asked total u av for this trip I filled 865..being d total of accommodation and personal expenses...so maybe u shud fill sumtin dats within ur salary range.i cud be wrong...just adding my 2 kobo

d tax i have is individual tax, i knew i will travel someday so thats why i ve been paying d personal tax.......
but i really want to know if d individual tax will be okay or must it be corporate tax?because like i said before i am going to present my company informations with a personal bank acc .
so is it advicible to present d individual tax or i should go obtain the corporate tax? which i know will b very expensive for me........

Bro I also run my business from my personal acct and pay individual tax ...I've applied twice and gotten the visa on both occasions ...just add receipts invoices etc that correlate wit heavy deposits in ur acct also give as much explanation as u can in d additional info box

U can't know for sure till u pick it up...everyone gets the same generic message ...I got the exact message ...freaked out...wen I finally picked my package...I got the visa...be calm and hope for the best. Good luck

Submitted may 19 ...got a msg Dt decision had been made on June 2nd and I picked d package up today.

When visa office checks there is no booking so you get rejection.

I have done a new booking and emailed it to the lagos consular office since my acknowledgement mail said my application is being treated there...my chances are next to hopeless still?

my hotel reservation got cancelled while my application(renewal) is still being reviewed...i have now booked a new appointment with a new reservation number and emailed it to the lagos british consular office email with my application number quoted, i hope this wont raise any red flags?
