Sapele—President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent efforts to bring succour to the crisis ravaged oil rich Niger Delta region may witness yet another hindrance as a new militant group, Asawana Deadly Force of Niger Delta, ADFND, emerged, yesterday, in the region, threatening to cripple the oil industry across the nine Niger Delta states unless the Federal Government grants them, “Niger Delta Republic in the next couple of days.” The group in a statement by its leader, Commander Olomubini Kakarakokoro, a.k.a No Mercy, said that, “Except our demand for Niger Delta Republic is granted, without further notice to the Federal Government, we shall proceed to bomb Bonga field flow station, Asaba- Onistha Bridge, Third Mainland Bridge and other major bridges in the Southtern part of the country, just for a start. “The Federal Government should as a matter of urgency, withdraw all the military check points from the riverside areas of the Niger Delta, else we shall proceed to match against any baby military formation in the region without further notice. “We are most dreaded, deadly and dangerous group in Niger Delta. Our team is comprised of specialists in different fields of war, and is poised to win the struggle for a Niger Delta State. Our struggle is not for monetary benefit or the so-called monthly N65,000 amnesty stipend. It is for the liberation and the development of the Niger Delta region. “We therefore, warn every other group or persons as regards the fake dialogue process embarked upon by the Federal Government to know that they are not doing that for us. We are taking over from our brothers, the Niger Delta Avengers. “As we speak all preparations and plans are on ground to strike and bring down the crude oil production to 0%, irrespective of the of the military presence in the region. The Federal Government will hear from us.”

Politics › MEND Names 7-member Team To Dialogue With FG by gateleo(op): 10:56pm On Jun 13, 2016
The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) on Monday, announced a seven-member team, led by Mr Odein Ajumogobia, a former Minister of Petroleum, to dialogue with the Federal Government.

Jomo Gbomo, MEND`s Spokesman, said in an online statement on Monday that other members of the group, tagged, “ Aaron Team 2”, are Bismark Rewane (Delta) and Chief Florence Ita-Giwa (Cross River).

The rest are Timipa Jenkins Okponipere (Bayelsa), Ibanga Isine (Akwa Ibom), Ledum Mitee (Rivers) and Lawson Omokhodion (Edo ).

Gbomo said other members of the team would be made public in due course after consultations with relevant stakeholders.
He said the team was made up of patriotic and selfless men and women with good track records and character drawn from different parts of the Niger Delta region.

Gbomo also said the team would dialogue with the Federal Government on the immediate, medium and long-term future of the Niger Delta region.

He said members had already agreed to serve on behalf of the Niger Delta Region.

He recalled that MEND on May 30, 2014, declared a ceasefire on attacks against the nation`s key economic and strategic interests.

The spokesman said the group took the decision in response to former President Goodluck Jonathan`s Democracy Day speech.

Our message to the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) is simple: The Niger Delta struggle is beyond attacks on oil installations.

If indeed your cause is to avenge the injustice done to the Niger Delta region; then, we urge you to ceasefire and join us to the table of negotiation with the Federal Government.

Otherwise, the Niger Delta struggle shall be hijacked, once again by selfish interests for their own personal aggrandizement,” Gbomo said.

He said that the problems and challenges facing the region after attacks on key installations were environmental pollution and political corruption.

My father bought a 2015 Toyota Corolla for me as my birthday gift. But my elder brother took the car keys and he has been driving my car round town for many days to carry his friends and his girlfriend, and he doesn't allow me to drive my own car. I got angry and fed up of it all. I took a mental rod to smashed the windscreen of my car, poured gasoline on my car and i set fire on it. I destroyed the car beyond repair because i was angry so my elder brother could no longer drive my car anymore. Few Minutes after i destroyed my car, i realized i have taken the wrong decision. I should have simply and rightfully collected the car key from my elder brother because the car belongs to me. I regret my actions. I wish i could turn back the hands of time. This brings me to my topic.

DESTROYING MY OWN PROPERTY IN THE NAME OF ANGER.

"ANGER" is one letter short of "DANGER". This is what the Niger Delta Avenger (NDA) do not know. They destroy their own properties, aquatic lives and lands in other to stop federal government from having access to oil, instead of taking total control of the oil facilities and manage it. With due respect i would say they are most foolish.

The Libya militants never destroy pipelines and refineries in Libya. They took control of the pipelines and refineries, sell the products to raise funds for themselves and those they fight for. They are wise to know that destroying their pipelines and refineries would result to great loss not only to the government but to them as well, and also cause environmental pollutant and health problems.

When you blow up pipelines and oil facilities, the toxic burning out from the flames is poisonous to cause health problems like cancers and other ailment in the body as people inhale the polluted atmosphere. When pipelines and oil facilities are destroyed, the spill destroy crops, farm lands, and aquatic lives. the few lands left for people to farm are being destroyed and the bush animals are being caught up in wide fires set by the NDA to destroy government properties.

The Niger Delta Avengers should have known better that they are doing more damages to the innocent people of Niger Delta than the Federal government.

If they had taken control of these oil facilities and were selling the oils to buyers, i would have been more glad and support their quest. But they acted foolishly like a man destroying his own car to prevent his brother from driving his car, instead of just collecting the car keys.

With due respect, Rethink Niger Delta Avengers and stop this act of wickedness.

God bless Nigeria.

With this declaration by Fayose, I don't need any prophet to tell me that PDP is behind the Avengers. Their aim is to cripple the economy and bring down Buhari,s government. They won't succeed because majority of Nigerians are wiser than them.

Poor economy ‘ll pull down Buhari’s reign –Fayose
June 5, 2016

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose

Kamarudeen Ogundele, Ado Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said the poor state of the nation’s economy will continue throughout the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari and will lead to the collapse of his government.

Speaking during the Thanksgiving Service marking the First Anniversary of the Fifth Assembly of the Ekiti State House of Assembly at the Government House Chapel, Ado Ekiti on Sunday, Fayose said the All Progressives Congress-led government would fail
woefully in addressing the problem.

According to a statement by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Speaker, Stephen Gbadamosi, the governor claimed he decided to go on solidarity strike with the workers in the state when it dawned on him that the Federal Government had failed and would continue to fail in revamping the nation’s economy.

“I am not a prophet of doom, but I must tell you the truth. It is this economic downturn that will pull down the Buhari-led government. Mark my word. The economy will improve, but it will be too late in the life of the Buhari-led government.

“God is angry with the Buhari-led government. It is shedding the blood of too many innocent people.

“Soldiers would enter the home of poor village people and gun them down in cold blood. There is too much of blood-shedding. Look at what they did to that innocent woman in Kano.

I am telling you that God allowed them to get into government so that they would be exposed; so that everyone would see their inability and hypocrisy,” he said.

Earlier, Speaker Kola Oluwawole in his speech explained that the principle of separation of power did not envisage bickering among the arms of government.

“When people say we are Fayose’s boys in the House, I just watch them display their ignorance. A journalist once asked me such a question. I just told him that God will make him a state governor one day, and that when he gets there, he should put his enemies in the Assembly.

“Our enemies did not want us to get to the Assembly, let alone clocking one year in office or getting the Assembly to stand.

“When you say someone is a rubber stamp, it means that person is a fool or slowpoke. By all standards, members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly are no fools or morons. We have virtually all professional callings represented in the House. Only morons can be rubber stamp.”

The implications....

Nigeria being a mono economic country depending on only crude oil.
No more oil to sale.....
No more money for federal government
No more money for state government
No more money for local government
No more money to pay civil servants
No more money to pay primary school teachers
No more money to award contract
Many private business will collapse
At the end everybody including the NigerDeltas will pay with hunger and poverty.

If you can stop this oil facilities destruction please do before it gets out of hand.
But at the end of the day...who suffer last...of course is the Niger Delta people...yes no more oil to sell but that is temporary...But it will take a while to clean up the environment...now...they can not farm...they can not fish...the lands are polluted more...No clean water to drink.....arc

So who suffer the most?
