I am glad Mr. President and indeed the entire media team of the presidency have refused to allow Onaiyekan get away with such an irresponsible partisan public comment. Since Onaiyekan has decided to ridicule himself by being so openly partisan, he should be treated as such. No one no matter how highly placed should be allowed to attack the integrity of our electoral system and get away with it.

If Onaiyekan wants to support a candidate openly, he should drop the cassock and do so with his full chest. If he can't muster the courage to resign honorably, the Catholic Church should defrock him immediately. The pulpit shouldn't be a platform for partisan attacks.

One thing about Tinubu is the fact that he has big balls. The only African President that would vote against the US on international politics of Isreal-Gaza war, he has consistently maintained Nigeria is against Isreali occupation in Gaza. He has strongly condemned Isreal's attacks on Qatar. He has condemned Russia's occupation in Ukraine. He looked Trump in the eyes and told him to go to hell as his tariffs plans has no effect on Nigeria's revenue inflows. Jagaban fears nobody. He will never cower to Trump as some African Presidents did when they were bullied and embarrassed at the white house.
