Cos of I see people going for more Corollas, Camrys but none talking about avensis.

Is there a particular issue with avensis that's Making people avoid it?

Good day every one! Recently i entered a ditch with my car while on speed and it broke my exaust, i was able to weld it successfully, and the very loud noise stopped. But i noticed that anytime I want to take off, i hear this vibration sound (when I bring down my windows, i dont hear anything. But when my windows are up, I hear the sound) what could be the culprit?

My elder broe was robbed last two weeks at gunpoint. He's a daredevil {though a banker) but he succumbed, and I was like, if you can be robbed, then nobody is saved. They collected his phones and other things. It's crazy.
Lagos will definitely pay a deaf ear to it until a politician is killed then they'll wake up to the call. That was how crime in Lagos survived for about 27yrs before Fashola in his wisdom and intelligence was able to contain it.

Note that VIN is not the same as vehicle chassis number.

It's not the duty of the Nigeria police st stop and search to ask for proof of ownership or proof of purchase from the previous owners.

Only exception is if they are investigating a stolen car.

As a matter of fact, those documents aren't supposed to be with you in the car....when you've already registered the car in the car licensing office in your name.

Na "educated" Nigerians be our problem for this country.

Im only saying the benefits of having ur plate number engraved outpass the disadvantages of having it done!

SOLUTION. instead of engraving the plate numbers which are not a permanent feature of the vehicle , the vehicle VIN vehicle identification Number aka chassis Number should be engraved .

The VIN is a permanent feature that will always remain with vehicle, and can be easily blacklisted on the internet or in licensing authority if vehicle is stolen .


The VIN should be engraved and not the plates on a vehicle .

I will have to disagree with you on this o be, Even in London the police encourage us to do so, they even engrave names Id and smart water on Bikes themselves, I have seen them set up stores for this in city centres.If you live within or a square mile near any major car part mkt pls engrave cos your car body parts will be mined.The thieves know no one will buy a part with numbers on them ie side mirrors,door handle grills wheels etc

Gazzuz I had an ugly experience regarding this issue .The car I bought was engraved with wrong plate number . I am still battling with the matter ...The owner just fixed a plate number meant for his former car without proper documentation ...he went ahead and engraved same number on the car...when you check the plate number on the data base...it will turn out a different car ,different chassis number

still want to thank you again because of the advice you gave me about O2 sensor check engine error, one mechanic almost charged me 40K to replace my catalyst that was working but just disconnected under the car like you advised after I showed you the error code. Thanks lot, I appreciate.

We finally bought a tokunbo engine and we regretted it. Engine making funny noise after installing it, then we called the seller because it is within the 1 week warranty. We returned the engine, seller checked and discovered a broken chain guide, and a cutting mark on the "camshaft" close to the vanous, not sure of the name. Well, we had to open the our own bad engine too, we resurfaced the top cylinder, change head gasket, change our timing chain guide too, water pump is still very okay, engine block is fine, but we still changed the rings of the pistons. Engine roars again. I love it this way, if it serves me for a year, I'm okay.

Gazzuzz should stop giving warranty on engines, o risky.
