grafikii: Hi car gurus, I have this issue with my 2008 rav4 4 cylinder, most times when I start the car and put it in drive, it take about a minute or two before the car actually moves, sometimes I have to press the accelerator before the car jerk forward and start moving. Once it starts moving everything is fine, it shifts properly and all, i don't have this issue with going into reverse.
I have changed the transmission fluid and filter, yet this problem persist, what could be the problem please.
BlueRayDick: I recently got a Toyota Camry big daddy tokunbo , but due to much bumps in my area (as a result of schools in the neighborhood ) I noticed the vehicle’s bumper is Low and sometimes hits the floor when driving around my neighborhood .
I was advised to change the tyres that came with the car to a bigger one . My predicament is; I don’t know which bigger size tyre would fit in perfectly . The current tyre size is P205/60R15
My questions are :
1. Is it a good idea to change the tyres as advised ?
2. If yes, what size should I change it to ?
3. I heard I can do swapping of the current tyre for bigger ones while adding cash . Is this advisable ?
4. Does anybody here on nairaland so such swapping ? If yes I need recommendations.
5. If the tyre is not the issue , then what could it be ?

It's a teaching hospital, and you are the sick patient. Unless you or the person that brought you did not see the signboard when entering. How will the students be taught without you?
ayarandy: I noticed my 07 camry(4plug) consumes fuel unreasonably so i decided to have a mechanic check out the catalytic converter only to discover that there is none in the car. Can your product suffice instead of replacing the catalyst? ...will your product reduce fuel consumption? N i hope your reviews are not manipulated . Will appreciate your response.
If I say they are not how will you know?
What are your scan results?
My device works 101per if it does not work, I would be getting negative reviews from people who bought
greggng: I wish I saw this car last week before we bought one at Berger. ..This colour is very hard to find in the market ....moreover finding a good one like yours is very difficult...I will soon call you for the price

an0daGuy: I drive interstate. Toyota Sienna. I’ve driven tokumbo units to and fro lag to the east. I know how much fuel I buy for the 3mz and 2gr per trip.
I have hands on experience with both engines in a 2006 and 2007 Sienna. I still have colleagues driving Sienna vehicles with both engine configurations DAILY.
If you don’t have such experience as I do then just swerve and allow the op make the decision based on personal experiences and not googling like you usually do
Heavenlybang for some strange reason he is right about the fuel economy thing.
I own both, and at some time i had a contract to supply 30 units to the south east for elections. The 3mzs where champs when it came to fuel economy while the 2gr were all guzzlers.
sholarb: I sold the 4cylinder DC 2yrs ago. I have been using 2010 accord v6 since then...since the days of sending M1 to Ola @amala dey place, tyres to Musa @Ikate and alpha beach Rd.
The V6 has a belt that is recommended to be changed at 7yrs/105k miles under normal driving conditions.
Last time I did this job (2 years ago) , I bought the timing kit from radautoworks. They are close to you can contact them.
replete: Yeah engine protection is priority but I have a question. Do you think it's better to use 5w30 for 2011 Camry with 165k miles. Have serviced it once since it arrived with 0w20 Mobil 1.
I would rather use 5w30 on
1ar 2ar 2zr 1zr 2gr 1nz 2nz
If they have no traces of abuse.
2az and 1zz 0w40 is best suited due to their age and oil burn.
If abused I will use 20w50 across board with drain intervals of 2000-3000miles.
Please I want to ask. Is the OW-20 used in the US the same as Mobil 1 5w 30 USA specs you have recommended?
Please where do I buy it? Can I get it in any Mobil filling station in Ibadan and should I insist on USA specs? How do I identify if truly they are selling to me US specs? Please do you have any idea on the price?
It's my first car and I know next to nothing about cars and I'm just learning and very eager to learn.
in the morning or anytime the car is idle for more than 2hours whenever i start the car and i shift the gear to drive take like 2minutes before the car enter the drive mode
the technician fixing it says its the sump and they changed it
but issue still presist. what could be the problem?
note all other gear work as expected the reverse and D1 works perfect
sookoo: Good evening Gazzuzz Nurey Kungreign Radautoworks
Thanks for the good job you ate doing
Please I have a 2011 Toyota Corolla which needs urgent servicing. However, I'm in a fix on what to do. I checked the car history online and it was regularly serviced with OW-20 full synthetic oil while in the US. However, when car arrived in Lagos, it was serviced with Mobil Super 1000 20W-50 XHP.
My question is this. Should I return to the OW-20 full synthetic oil or continue with the 20w-50 Mobil used in Lagos. Note that this Mobil used in Lagos has just been used once. Thank you.
