I need your advice on my Toyota Corolla Bank type, 1. each time i use the AC, the temp rises rapidly so i am always having to put if off immediately 2. asides the temp rise, when i put on the ac, the engine sounds like its been overstressed 3. my brake catches, but if i hold it down it slips off so i have to be tapping the brake often (ABS LIGHT IS ON) 4. pls recommend a good auto shop in lagos for me

I got a camry 2012 se from the US unfortunately the catalyst from the manifold to the silencer was removed and cut off at the port. I have replaced with “supposedly follow come” catalyst for the manifold and silencer. But I’m still having these codes

The accelerating keeps going off intermittently all through my journey home yesterday. I scanned and got a P0606 code (ECM/PCM fault). Any advise on the solution would be appreciated.
You have some wires bridging . Go back to the ignition coils and check the sockets, there might be insulation issues .

Of the oil is dark , replace it with DW1, if still having issues service the shift solenoids

I clean my house twice everyday but within few hours everywhere is covered again in this dangerous black substance that causes people to have lung pains, cough, etc. My neighbour had to cough throughout the night, even up till this morning. I said it here almost 3 years ago. I've been using 20w50 because my engine was already burning oil when I bought it so I switched to the cheapest good oil and save up oil money to get another engine, sharlu for that matter for close to 3 years, my engine is still quiet and going strong. I travel almost 2 to 3 times every week on a norms. I just make sure I change as at when due
I've been using water too, I'm not saying coolant is not good but it's not like if you use water heaven will fall.
See how much I would have lost if I have been using mobil 1, topping up with 1 ltr 1000 miles or less. I've done over 100,000 miles now and engine has not died, I've saved on oil more than I would use to buy another engine
So this thing is just to apply common sense, and not to follow every instructions blindly.

If I top up before leaving for work by next morning I will find the fluid level on the low mark... just by the following morning.... so today I topped up the fluid and started the engine just to observe wetin dey shęlę gan gan with the fluid, so while engine was running I opened the fluid reservoir cover and I saw that the fluid was foaming pink foam. the foam started goshing out cos my broda started steering left & right. the goshing out stopped the moment he stopped steering but the foaming persisted ... pls what & where can we check, our mechanics around may first ask us to change fuel pump ontop this issue. pls airpus

If your transmission oil is dark, replace it, the. Replace the 02 sensor attached the the exhaust under the car. 9/10 times it is not bad but disconnected

Please my 2013 accord check engine light came up and I scanned the code it read small evap leak, and have noticed like a couple of different time, the dashboard says check fuel cap and I check, it’s � tight. Don’t know the possible fix for this cos I remove the battery head. The light goes off. Them come back like two weeks later.
Fuel tank should be able to hold a vacuum. Unfortunately yours is not.
avalon7: I noticed that the oil on my mum's car was low and i was going to change it. My mum returned from a trip today and i rushed out to pick her forgetting to change the oil. The timing belt broke and I'm scared it may have caused major damages. Please i want to ask does a broken timing belt in a non-interference engine always lead to major engine damage?
How does engine oil and timing belt relate?
What car is it?
Did engine freeze up or just timing belt snapped?
If none interference, replace timing belt kit and you wi be fine
Kashif: Very likely your torque converter lockup is stuck on.
Push the car to a forward slope. Start the car in neutral and let it start moving under gravity before engaging drive. If the engine doesn't die afterwards, it's the torque converter. A double confirmation is if the engine also dies after you bring the car to a full stop while still in drive.

ahmstrng: Engineers. I need help o. Was traveling with my accord 2010 v6. Half way through the trip. I noticed the car doesn’t accelerate properly again. Its jacks when ever i step on the pedal. Until i gently put pressure on it before it moves further. Occasionally powering off the engine until i restart it. I suspected the fuel pump, stopped at a road side mechanic to have the fuel pump replaced. He checked the pump and said its likely weak. Bought a brand new one cause he said belgium pumps are mainly luck. I set out on my trip again and after 20 to 30 min. The accelerator wasnt working again and the car started jacking again. Speed reduced from 120 to 80 to 60. To 40. I had to manage 40km/h to my destination. It was a horrible trip. Please could it be the new pump is also faulty. Or their are other underlying issues here. Ps after getting to my destination when i tested the car after few hours. It functioned properly. Until after about an hour of driving it then i noticed i have to floor the accelerator before it even gets to 60km/h. Please any advice. cc: Gazzuzz Radautoworks Nurey Kingreign
