CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) AKA Methane while LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) AKA Propane AKA Your Regular Cooking Gas
CNG is lighter while LPG is heavier
CNG has been used for decades in gas-powered cars/vehicles and has been safe. (I've personally seen a lot of car gas stations)
CNG is stored at very High Pressures in its own special cylinders or bottles at an average pressure of 240kg/sqcm. LPG is stored at much Less Pressures around 7kg/sqcm.
So, CNG CANNOT be stored in LPG Cylinders (your regular cooking gas cylinders). That would be extremely dangerous.
If you want to use the gas alternative to power your generator, use your regular cooking gas (LPG) and your regular cylinder. It is far more cost-effective compared to petrol and safe. It has been in use, even in the US.
CNG can be used for cooking I am currently developing safe domestic solutions . Stay tuned and follow my pages for more info .
sultaan: It is very unfortunate that the kind of comments here supporting the seller is why we are looked at as scammers.
We are trying to justify a wise transaction while sacrificing the integrity of our words.
When the man made a verbal commitment to sell his car at a price, and agreed to a condition of installmental payment.
The buyer met/honored the condition of the agreement(written or not), it is for the seller to honor his end of the deal.
That a bad deal was made in hindsight is not the buyers fault. All businessmen are dealing with adjusting price daily due to soaring prices.
If the seller bought the car when dollar was 475, sold it when dollar was 750, final payment made when dollar is 1500.
Owner could not afford to fuel the car then, he cannot afford to fuel it now.
I want to believe he does not know the value of the car then and now, all he wants is to the the value of the dollar he got the car for then not to be able to afford a smaller car.
With the way the naira is now , he definitely will not be able to afford a Corolla, he might get lucky with a Cruze or Focus.
If we all put ourselves in the sellers shoes, hes sold the car at a cheap price then because he could not afford to run it.
The seller bought a car that costs a lot of money to run at a reasonable price(deal) at a risk,
The seller should hold up to his end of the bargain
Seen a lot of comments from users I "used to respect" at this point we deserve the type of leaders we have from what I see.
Chrisxp56: Good evening @ GAZZUZZ and everyone, I have a Toyota RAV4 2002 model that the top gasket was changed and the valve grinded too , after the mechanic finished coupling, the motor has refused to start: no spark and no fuel. It's been diagnosed by 2 persons and they said it's ECU, it has been replaced but no spark but the fuel pumps. What could be the problem? The technicians said that it needs a matching ECU( brain box) for it to start. It's be a week now.
no pulse. My guess, no pulsar plate installed when coupling back. Remove crank sensor to peep inside the hole for its presence .
Justdare: Quite impressive. What's the cost of CNG now? And how readily available is it around Lagos and Ogun states. Thanks

Missowombo: Dear Family landers. I am here to seek your advice on how to rescue my car from my neighbour. I bought a car, direct from abroad, a very clean and sweet ride, and registered in September, 2023 (5months ago). However, due to the high fuel consumption( V6, 3.5l engine) and the ever unstable fuel price today, I decided to put it up for sale to get a smaller engine capacity. A neighbour expressed interest in buying the car and decided to pay in installment which I agreed. I was also searching for a replacement at this time hoping to use the money realized from the sales to get my preferred ride. My preferred ride prices were shockingly high such that even if I doubled the price I gave to my neighbour it will still not be enough to buy the new ride. Prices rise by the hour these days in Nigeria and I have no hand in this crisis. I returned to my neighbour to inform him that I will not be selling the car anymore due to the present crises in prices of goods in the country. I apologized profusely for every inconvenience and transferred his money back to him. He got angry and said that I must submit the car key and documents to him. He even threatened to send his community and area boys to beat me up and extract the above items.
I came back from work to see my car jacked up, surrounded by 2 other vehicles to prevent the car's exit. For the records, there is no written or signed agreement between him and I concerning this sale. I refunded all his money 1 day after he paid his last installment and kept back my car. I have no hand in Nigeria's current problems. I am pushed to use force here but I am thinking that some initial peaceful resolution could be an option
You sold your car. Then you changed your mind because vehicle was in your possession. If it was in his possession, we would not hear this story.
A gentleman's agreement is really abused in this part of the world.
Justdare: Not at the current price of LPG. Then the cons of conversion is also staring at me in the face. The extra weight of the tank The possibility of workman error, which can make me loose the car. Bros lemme manage the high cost of petrol

johnson4nosa: You should be thankful to God if you are spending 15k weekly in this Thiefnibu regime which means your car don't consume fuel. Weekly minimum 25k for me not that I drive that far
IceColdVeins: I spend approximately 25k weekly. I only go to the office three times in a week, thank God for the hybrid work model, can’t imagine how much I would have been spending on five round trips weekly.
dicksonadams: some fearful folks might be scared that an explosion would take out both driver and passenger, since the cylinder is right between them. some would still prefer to opt for the rear or boot
Enlightenment is key.
A lot of commercial busses have been like this since 2009.
My installation will be covered to look like an armrest.
arcbaba: Hi gazzzuz thanks for all you do on this forum, I have been thinking of how to get my sienna on CNG train because of the space I don't want to loose, I did some research and found this tank that can be placed in the spare tire space! This will work perfectly for me! But I doubt if it will be available in Nigeria. I am attaching the images for more clarity
The pics you have up there are for LPG systems, not CNG . I had same issues when I wanted to convert my sienna . I didn't want to touch the space in the rear that enabled me to flatten the rear seats. So I opted for a 55L water capacity cylinder in-between driver and passenger seat. I will still expand my system with smaller 25L tanks under the vehicle as there are pockets of unused space waiting to be used.
