Turns out my gasket is bad and tiny droplets of water keeps getting into the cylinders...

I think I spoilt the gasket last week when I removed the fan clips when I wanted to start my car on a weak battery ...

I forgot to fix back the clips and drove out the car like that... the car over heated on my way but I didn't know what I had caused as at that time ...

Camshaft is same as knock sensor , crankshaft is different. But this things hardly go bad in a Toyota, cool down and retrace your steps, throwing parts at the car isn't going to be cheaper at all compared to finding a knowledgeable technician with the right tools to get the job done

Hello House,

I desperately need help. My car is a mazda 3 2005 model. it began to jerk during motion one afternoon. mechanic said it was to fuel pump. the fuel pump was changed after which the car wouldn't start at all. we have have reprogrammed the brainbox. now the car will start and go off within 3 seconds. mechanic is saying the problem is the valves in the engine. i am confused. i am starting to think that mechanic is just as confused. please can anyone help?

What I really need is for you to do comprehensive overhauling of this car including the AC, engine, suspensions, silencer , total paint job etc. It is in a quite good condition but prevention they say is better than cure. I know it is not in the years you normally cater for but it's a Herculean task getting a mechanic that know his onions. Can you please consider overhauling the car, Sir?

I dont know what you mean by compression. But I am getting the remaining 2. The technician who checked it this morning said I might need to change the camshaft sensor (He call am shocking sensor anyway). To me it is a matter of trial by error sha on the part of the tehcnician. Oga Gazzuzz, I have towed the car to my house.

I parked my 2003 Nissan Altima on Thursday night and when I wanted to start on Friday morning, I kept cranking but won't start.

We have checked all checkables...

Plugs sparks.
Nuzzles opens.
Timing is correct.
Fuel supplies.

It cranks and when it's about to start up, it draws back and gives a sound as if it's gasping for fuel...

I'm in a dilemma... I can't even eat cos I hate when we can't even find what d problem is talk less of solving it ...

Modified: I just spoke with oga gazzuzz and he suggested we check with machine and I'm presently waiting for the guy bringing the machine

Ogba Gazzuzz, I drive a 98 Avensis. For the past few months, it has been difficult starting the car in the morning in cold weather. Also, it has rough idling when it starts which smoothens out after about 5 minutes. I will love if you can transform the car like the RX350, paint job etc.

if in Lagos bring it, I'll fix it for free. Parts inclusive. Its an avensis thing

If you are not check this part, I is called a coolant temp sensor, check connections to it ensure they are firm.

This is d best vehicle related thread I've seen on NL. @GAZZUZZ, more grease to ur elbows. I'm particularly impressed abt ur approach to d A/C aspect(which seemed to be d primary cause of d engine prob). It was done professionally as against d practice by most A/C technicians. Vacuuming is a critical aspect left out by most technicians. The reason car A/Cs remarkably lose efficiency after bn "touched" by "our guys". I look forward to seeing more .....

Good afternoon boss. How's the weekend going? Please I drive a corolla 2006/2007 model. I observed the car consumes so much fuel. I had to even check underneath to see whether fuel was leaking.
Secondly there is this noise (as if glass rolled down) that I usually hear from the car when driving.
Abeg come open branch for Abuja my oga. Please any idea how I can tackle these issues?

I don't even know what to say myself. It's so sad.
A slight continuous sound with slight vibration when the vehicle is idle. No overheating, nothing. Vehicle power and all still intact, but I cant drive it lest I destroy the new engine too.
Mechanic thought it was the timing chain which was changed, now he said oil pump is weak......
I paid 45k for oil pump, but noise continued. I have parked the vehicle till my next vacation. It's in the East, if not I for come park am for your shop.

I have a 2007 CRV, neat vehicle, drives smoothly and all but I travelled and madam told me it started jerking, making noise, overheating and all that. To cut long story short, Kazeem said Engine has knocked. An autopsy report indicated a broken oil pump which made the car overheat.
I replaced the engine afterwards and had a smooth ride, but on the day I was dropped off at the airport, I heard one slight grinding sound which no one has been able to decide what the issue is . I was advised to check the oil pump again. The only common thing between the 2 engines is that I used 5w20 oil.
I am thinking my village people are after me again.

What modules if I may ask? The issue here is the car not starting, strongly implying a powertrain issue. This localizes the problem to the only one module: the ECU and everything it controls/manages(since we are talking Toyota here and not BMW). There are therefore 3 possibilities here: Bad Ecu fuse, Bad Alternator fuse or bad ECU. Following the explanation of the OP, (where there is a short of that kind, It is very likely that the Alternator fuse will go out first, then the Ecu fuse before such wahala gets to the ECU itself. It is called 'Failsafe'

Another possiblilty could be the immobilizer if the car is equipped with one .

Good morning... I Have an Infiniti QX4 2001 SUV that is leaking oil from under the engine. was told there is a seal under the engine that is weak and that the engine will have to be taken out to reach the seal.

Also the left wheel hub is shaking and the steering shakes when the brakes is applied on speed.

Please can I bring in the SUV for these faults to be fixed?
