Driving under Uber means driving more, so there is no 2ways about it.

If you take less, you are definitely cheating yourself. You will still have to fix the car, with Lagos road nature, expect to change, ball joint, stabilizer leakage and others.

If you drive from 6-6 u will still make your money, be it Uber or taxify.

I will say it again, taking 20-30k home weekly, for 6days drive, is fair enough...

Drivers that drive those buses to Abuja everyday make far less than 20k weekly.

I believe those jumping into Uber driving are greedy people, they are looking for owners, they will take advantage of.

One mechanic is here misleading owners, that they should take 25k weekly, not to have hbp, even if you take 15k they will still cheat you.

That mechanic don't have a single car he bought with his money under Uber platform, all the car he post doesn't belong to him, belong to people he was ripping off.

Walahi, not just for the recession, I prefer to do this myself. It gives me joy but for my size. Last time I went under, my belly was making contact with the oil sump. Couldn't stop from imagining the worst.

My neighbours come be like, this Oga is so cheap o. E no want mechanic chop common N500. My former landlord had this look on me, I always read his mind as if wants to tell me "this Awokusa is too cheap". I tuned my DSTV dish myself, i repair/service my power generating set myself. I even repaired his own. I repaired the bore hole power myself after we spent days without water. Am panning to paint my sitting room soon and also planning to saw myself a new set of window curtains. I even readjusted my new set of clothes after the tailor didn't follow my instructions.

I feel like getting some tailoring lessons soon so I can make my clothes exactly how I like it. Though tailoring takes too much time which is my main concern.

I will kindly need your advice on what else to do please.

[s]Before you guys crucify Mazda engine, what about the op? He left sound counsel to go for roadside mecs and he never asked questions. What gear oil does your civic uses and which oil did they pour into your transmission ? If you dont know, then you are at fault. The gear selector cable was not properly aligned hence you need d3 to move into drive. If the oil is still leaking, I suspect that they used seahorse for the gear. Accept responsibility and move on. For those of you buying toks gearbox, there is nothing like that anymore. Its naija used gearboxes being refurbished as toks. There are some cars that it is better repaired than replaced and civic is one of them.[/s]

Chief Gazzuzz gd evening, car is a 2000 Camry. Fans not connected directly but when I drive on a free road the temperature guage comes down from the middle point and it usually throws the P128 code. I intend replacing water in the radiator to coolant this weekend but I am scared the issue might not be resolved. I read some where that the thermostat might be stuck open. What do u suggest. Secondly is it too late to change to the manufacturers specification of engine oil. I service regularly with 20w50 for more about 2 and half years.

Please I noticed my 2003 corolla automatic transmission just stopped working without any notice or indication, this happened as I was about climbing small ridge that is less than half foot in height and I heard a little kinking noise same time it stopped working.
