gists:Indeed. Entirely correct. |
BRAV0O:Another criminal tuned into a power-broker by an unfit and accidental President who subscribes to the idea that criminal-minded elements should be tasked with the duty of leading a nation. We have a functional Navy yet Tompolo is buying gunboats "on behalf of Nigeria" using clandestine mafia-style methods. I really cannot wait to see the back of GEJ. Nigeria is now a horrid joke under this ultra-woeful President. |
This is why we need a brave and focused President under an upright and sincere leadership system that will ensure every arm of government has 'bite', focus and the determination to always do what is right for the nation regardless of whose Ox is gored. More should have been made of this purchase. Now, as has happened before with cases like the Halliburton and Ibori saga , those who do things properly in their Country will once again highlight the rot in Nigeria. Imagine an important part of our legislative arm which should be entirely independent, i.e the lower house, saying they "faulted" the handing over of pipeline protection contracts to Tompolo yet they could do nothing about it. Now Nigeria is experiencing its highest level of oil theft ever while those charged with preventing this from happening can only pontificate inpotently. We cannot continue like this and no decent Nigerian would want us to. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/concern-mounts-in-house-over-tompolo-s-purchase-of-gunboats/197157/ Concern Mounts in House over Tompolo’s Purchase of Gunboats |
OrlandoOwoh:Don't mind him. I can't believe how clannishly r.etarded GEJ and PDP fans can be sometimes. |
baybeeboi:And you never develop shame or grow beyond your clannish outlook. Perhaps you now want to suggest the APC controls the City of London’s Overseas Anti-Corruption Unit (OACU) which snared the two Brits alleged to have given bribes which facilitated the dodgy purchase of gunboats by Tompolo who is a close associate of the Nigerian President. You TANdroids are hardly exposed. All you know is courtesy of the browser on your phone so I don't expect your world stretches beyond shouting "APC" over every revelation of wrongdoing the Nigerian government is involved with. Countries like the UK do not care about your political Parties when the integrity of their security safeguards are breached by syndicated international criminality. |
Alphaoscar:In so far as it is the Brit, then "alarm blow" indeed. Ibori is a case study of the tenacity of the British investigative and security authorities when they have you on their radar. Let us remember Ibori was taken down for money laundering et al. The UK would not let it go and initiated an interpol request for the arrest of Ibori. This is more serious as it involves the acquisition of weapons illegally or deceitfully. This sort of thing tends to warrant the highest level of scrutiny. The UK is not South Africa. |
Nigeria may be steeped in illegality and the worship of 'untouchables' who abet the government of the day but these two Brits are in serious trouble. They will reveal all they know which will come out eventually. Ibori can testify to this. There will now be many 'associates'of GEJ the British investigative authorities will be watching and monitoring tenaciously. |
Howmon:Is thisdaylive.com a good enough source for you? Osun defender was only quoting others . Can you now pass your comment related to the substantive point of discussion? Failure to do this will confirm you are a TANdroid mischief-maker looking to jump to the automatic defence of GEJ through use of the tired modus operandi of trying to discredit the source of the news rather than tackle the message. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/two-britons-arrested-over-bribe-involving-gunboats-sold-to-tompolo/199755/ |
Shades of the South-Africa "arms purchase" mess involving the FG and Oritsejafor. A rogue government that always acts in a rogue way to disguise its rogue intentions. How can any sensible Nigerian be contemplating voting for a Government that acts like a criminal mafia gang always? |

JackBaueress1:He really is a big disgrace. Some of us were hoping, for the sake of Ekiti folks, that Fayose would be different this time around. Yet the only thing the uncouth and foul-mouthed Fayose has done since becoming Governor is to validate the saying "a Leopard never changes its spots". |
holatin:He is a disgrace to all sensible Nigerians actually. Always one or two lines of cretin-like idiocy and r.etarded imbecility. Not even sure the guy is sane because his trolling appears 'tinged' with madness. |
Firefire:You, temitemi and that tit nuisance are easily the most annoying trolls on this forum by far. Can you not just shut up sometimes? @Topic. When it comes to most parts of the North "Buhari noni". This is the time for some Northerners to 'chop the dollar' of desperate PDP moneybags who do not wish to accept the fact that most folks in the North can never vote for anyone other than Buhari least of all a failed President now perceived an enemy of the North by many. Goodluck to the "boy with no shoes". |
sunkoye:Very true. Did I not read somewhere that Fayose is standing behind the vile utterances in the Punch front cover advert he sponsored despite wide condemnation of his nauseating antics? The lunatic simply does not think he has done anything offensive or wrong. I now really pity Ekiti people. |
That is why I had to laugh the other day when a TANdroid produced an article here purporting that some "Northern youths"were going to mobilise 20 million Northerners to vote GEJ. I laughed till tears nearly came out of my eyes. Only the biggest liar will fail to admit that Buhari has the North on total lock down. The PDP will be totally humiliated in the North because the general consensus of Northerners, massive love of Buhari aside, is that our President abandoned the North and its people to their fate. Jonathan carried on like a sectional President only concerned about the South. Not many Northerners, even Christians, would be willing to vote for such a President. When you then merge developments over the past 4 years with the absolutely unquestioning love Northerners have for Buhari it is obvious PDP and their fans should completely forget the North. I believe this is the case for many of them deep down and this is why they focus on the SW daily with their pathetic scaremongering and blackmail. Abeg, sai Buhari ojare. I wan't a Nigeria my kids and grandkids can be proud of. |
OrlandoOwoh:This is testimony to what the PDP is about. I.e the destruction of Nigeria, her industries and institutions. |
fijiano202:EVen the language and lack of decorum should tell you this has nothing to do with IBB. Babangida is diplomatic and circumspect in speech most times. He would not be mocking GEJ's academic credentials and background openly when this will present him as prejudiced. Fayose the uncouth and unthinking thug could do that sort of thing but IBB is much wiser and a great deal more calculative. |
Iykopee:You people should reject ethnic jingoism and learn to talk as if you have functional brains. What were the Yorubas looking for , other than good governance, when they voted for GEJ in 2011 to give him all SW States bar Osun which Ribadu won? GEJ has had 4 years ,since 2011, to lead well as most Yorubas charged him to do when they gave him their votes. Now he has failed monumentally you nauseating bigots cannot concede that the Yorubas have every right to do what responsible folks will do anywhere in the world which is to vote out misrulers unanimously. Instead you must tie everything to the notion of ethnic gains and prejudice which rules your own personal thinking. You never talk as if you understand that GEJ should take responsibility for where he finds himself today. You do not seem to understand that there is nowhere on earth where genuinely performing leaders, transforming the lives of the man in the Street, are hated and opposed. You guys do not know how mentally disturbed you sound to sane people worldwide as you go around suggesting Nigerians should persist with the ultra-failed GEJ while you insult the motivation and responsible inclination of those who seek the good governance you egotistically reject because of your prejudiced nature. Abeg, keep the insults against the Yorubas coming. It only hardens the resolve of most of them to campaign for and vote GMB/Osinbajo. |
jojomario:Don't mind them. The North is sparred their propaganda and scaremongering because they know the region is a no-go area for GEJ and the PDP. Instead they concentrate on the Yorubas to assist the monumental failure (GEJ) in his effort to gain another four years with which to loot Nigeria, keep us in darkness, destroy the Naira and the Nigerian economy tied to it plus supervise the death of even a larger number of Nigerians than the over 15,000.00 who have lost their lives to Boko Haram terror. All these people claiming to speak for Yorubas truly do not know Yoruba people. If they did they would understand that nothing will change the mind of most Yorubas if they feel they have given you a fair chance yet you failed them. Just ask the PDP leaders who were voted out in large numbers across the SW in 2011 to understand how Yorubas will always think and act in free and fair elections. The bottom line is that Yorubas will always reject political misrulers. GEJ has had 5 long years to make a difference yet chose to use that time looting Nigeria, dividing us horribly along ethnic and religious lines, scamming our nation with his buddies and watching callously as Nigerians are kidnapped and killed by Boko Haram. Too late for all these talk. Shame some people, especially those from outside the SW, do not know the 'omoluabi' essence of Yoruba people. |
rozayx5:Illiterate. That is not a typo error. Proof and prove mean two completely different things. Ask a five-year-old kid to correct you. I can assign you a 6-year-old tutor if you wish. Olodo. |
stebell:Continue fooling yourself. We all know you are afraid. Very afraid. |
rozayx5:No doubt you did not attend Primary school given the basic comprehension error above of using proof instead of prove. You guys make me laugh. You should clearly be looking to develop and deepen your personal education and intellect yet you come here daily to insult others. Pathetic. |
@OP. We are in the information and 'social networking' age. It is now even more difficult to misrule a people for a year talk less of the 5 years GEJ has used to destroy Nigeria. Things tend to get to Nigeria late but political sophistication is descending on Nigerians and it is obvious for many that GEJ is a corrupt con artist who was never meant to lead a squad of boys scout let alone the biggest black nation on earth. Nigerians now feel duped by GEJ especially those who voted for him. Sadly, it is now past redemption period for the "boy with no shoes". |
ilugunboy:Indeed. Why would the PDP ask for "issue-based campaigning" from the APC only for the ruling Party to turn round and do this? To be honest I was always convinced the APC would win but I now feel APC will win by a landslide given how the desperados leaders of the PDP are beginning to sicken most Nigerians with their talk, curses, threats, scaremongering, lies and devilish character assassination. What will be will be. I think this powerful saying is the reason the PDP bigwigs are sabotaging themselves without control over what they are saying or doing even when such is causing serious problems for the ruling Party while driving support toward GMB and the APC. |
FreeGlobe: stebell: Ozin:Some of you have let your ethnocentric and clannish love of GEJ take over your senses totally. Do you know your people at all i.e Nigerians? Nigerians remain a highly superstitious and death-fearing people who, from Kontagora through Imo to Ogbomosho, do not like anyone wishing death or evil upon others openly. That is devilish and demonic according to the ordinary Nigerian. Fayose has made a big mistake thinking Nigerians are of his thuggish and callous inclination with no regard for the life of others. It is even very insensitive he used Yar Adua et al in his sick and twisted scaremongering tactics with no thoughts for the family and loved ones of those people. In Yoruba land no one will support someone who will invoke death/evil upon others who have done them no wrong as Fayose does with his devilish utterances. It is virtually taboo to do such. You guys can try and console yourselves by putting up this idiotic public show of support for Fayose's utterance but he has goofed big time. This is a very big no no for Nigerians. I can only encourage the PDP to get more personal so they can win GMB more fans and make the elections an even bigger disgrace for GEJ and the PDP. |
Horus:True. All sensible folks worldwide agree with your statement. |
PEREP:Buhari is on a mission and has no time for vendetta against anyone least of all an unfocused thug like Fayose. The point is that Fayose will find it hard to live down his over-the-top and highly personalised vitriol against Buhari when the General is sworn in as his boss. Fayose can campaign for GEJ without making needless enemies for himself beyond GEJ's reign which will surely come to an end in May 2015. |
ndidibabe:A lawless thug who slap judges and insult elders old enough to be his grandfather will listen to advisers? |
eyeview:Indeed. Even GEJ and PDP fans, if they have any decency in them, should condemn this very low and debased behaviour from Fayose which is a complete disgrace to Nigeria and the PDP in particular. |
We know Fayose is a thug but his sanity should be called into question as well. This is going too far i.e using threats of death as a scaremongering campaign tool. As usual, the PDP once again demonstrates it is a Party that does not know the limits of decency. No wonder the Party has misruled Nigeria horridly over 16 years. This unbelievable action will surely lose the PDP a lot of support. Like someone said already, where will Fayose et al hide after Buhari is sworn in as President of Nigeria? I can only laugh at desperate Jona for letting 'loose cannons' like Fayose and FFK near his campaign. |
Collynzo9:And how does that affect the truthful message? You need to keep your ethnic jingoism in check. Rather than talk as if Yorubas hate GEJ, when we can all see that this article tells the reality-based truth, perhaps you should consider why only you and others like you hold brief always , ala "chibok kidnapping a scam", for an ultra-failed leader. This speaks more about your own prejudice, bigotry and innate lack of decency you wish to project on others merely because they are not from your ethnic group. If the author of the article had lied forcefully then you may have a point trying to draw attention to her ethnic origin. It is never sensible to attack a messenger who is telling the truth as the audience immediately discerns your insincerity. It is even worse to do such with a focus on race, colour, or ethnicity because this shows, beyond doubt, that you are a bigot. |
anonimi:Mumu crayon brat. You TANdroids are all unintelligent gringos. I used bold coloured font to highlight important sections of quotes from what others have written. That makes perfect sense when one needs to draw attention quickly to pertinent sections of long articles or utterances of others quoted here. You use red bold fonts unnecessarily for what you write personally as you do above and always. Big difference attention-seeking olodo. Doing such, related to internet/blogging etiquette, is viewed as the equivalent of 'shouting' or attention-seeking by those who do not have anything sensible to say yet insist others must notice them. Much like the empty barrel who always tries to shout others down in a social gathering. Look at this post for example. Any coloured fonts? Yet look at your nonsensical and unimportant post above which is your own words and not a quotation of what others have written. How many Nairalanders do you see using bold red font always for what they write personally, rather than for illustrating important sections of quotes from what others write, as you do day in day out? Suwegbes always make a fool of themselves. . |
