nnamdizen:Abi ooo. Political mischief-makers throw these ridiculous stories in the public domain because they know that many Nigerians are gullible and sentimental by nature hence they will react blindly without thinking. Atiku is self-serving but he is no fool. His defections has always been to chase Party Presidential ticket. What at all does he gain joining the PDP now when the APC is looking like the Party that will control Nigeria at the centre from May 2015? |
adioolayi:Thank you !!!! I don't know why so many Nigerians are quick to react to a story without engaging their brains. Even if Atiku is to be seen as the consummate serial defector of Nigerian politics do we not also know that his defection always follow his quest to become President? Even a child capable of reasoning effectively will know Atiku gains nothing defecting to the PDP now. Atiku will not dislodge GEJ to get the Presidential ticket he craves above everything else in life so what is he joining the PDP for especially after savaging the Party and pledging recently that the APC is now his "final" political home? Combine all this with how Atiku has been tweeting in support of GMB/APC and it is obvious PDP propaganda machine is getting more desperate. We know the PDP are propagandist but propaganda still needs to make logical sense to be effective. |
advancelegacy:The only person "petty" like a child is you because your sentimental and childish persona will never allow you see or admit the truth. Is it today American leaders at all level have been showing disdain and outright disrespect for "ineffective" GEJ? What is Kerry showing here that is new or unexpected when the Americans have never hidden their disdain and disregard for a President McCain called "some guy" in obvious disgust. TANdroid joker. |
GEJ always failing to maintain eye contact. Very Unpresidential President. Kerry even has his hands in his pocket ,in defiance of diplomatic protocol, as if he is discussing with a plumber installing a new bathroom in his house. Nigeria ,as the biggest black nation on earth, needs a President who will demand and get respect because people identify with his reform-linked efficacy and productivity. As things stand, because he has messed up so horrendously and irresponsibly, GEJ is a very difficult President to respect or even reckon with. GEJ's incompetent and accidental 'boy boy' Presidency of 5 years , which only showed he is an abjectly mediocre individual placed far above his station, means other world leaders cannot even be bothered to treat him with the minimum respect required. Obama can have his hands in his pocket talking to a direct peer like Cameron or Merkel. Vice versa. Yet Kerry, a US secretary of State, is treating the Nigerian President with disdain by not maintaining the appropriate behaviour that protocol demands be accorded to Presidents and heads of State by all others junior to them. Can Pius Anyim be speaking to Obama with his hands in his pocket? Sad. Very sad. Yet,it did not begin with Kerry. We saw Hilary, in the now famous picture with our President, appearing to lecture our chaste and starstruck GEJ with his hands behind his back like a schoolboy being told off by a teacher. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2068932_secretarykerrygreetspresidentjonathan2014_jpeg46c6c3f36f35a0c1a5a403d6fc263600 https://www.informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/goodluck1hillary.jpg |
zantama05:Most people do not even understand that we have seen this from America throughout world political history. Their officials and political leaders are diplomatic but you can always tell when there is an air of "the King is dead (GEJ) long live the King (Buhari) " about their behaviour and body language . Kerry is giving that off here that is why I think his body language is more important, from an analytical viewpoint, than that of GMB or GEJ. Kerry does not seem to have respect or regard for GEJ and this is not a surprise given that we know what the USA thinks of GEJ. He appears to be attending a meeting he has to rather than one he is looking forward to. Kerry looks like he can't wait to leave really. Kerry is a decorated Naval military officer who fought gallantly in Vietnam. As per his job, Kerry will do the diplomacy thing with GEJ but he will likely have disdain privately for an "insincere" leader the USA feel has hidden cowardly from confronting and routing Boko Haram in his own backyard. Kerry is engaging Buhari warmly and his demeanour appears to suggest he rates and respects Buhari. |
Analysts of body language will tell you it is Kerry's posture in the two pictures that reveals which is the more relaxed tete-a-tete. Talking to Buhari, Kerry is 'open' with his arms spread wide as if at ease completely while his back leans into the chair showing 'relaxed mode'. Kerry appears laid back talking to Buhari as if addressing a friend, ally or someone he is favourably disposed to. Kerry seems to be enjoying his visit to Buhari. Whereas he is 'closed' , with defensively clasped hands, talking to GEJ. Kerry is upright and literally 'uptight' in the picture with GEJ. He appears uncomfortable as if he could not wait to leave. Kerry's body language shows he does not appear to be engaging with GEJ sincerely or approvingly whereas the opposite is the case with Buhari with Kerry appearing relaxed and as if talking to someone he is about to do very productive business with. Obvious Kerry is more relaxed with Buhari whereas his meeting with GEJ looks like a diplomatic visit to a leader one has to acknowledge but does not respect, rate or approve of at all. |
takedat:Indeed. Vile individual totally. It tells a lot about GEJ that Fani-Kayode is an influential spokesman and one of the voices of the President's campaign. Goodluck to all of them. GEJ and FFK are the sort who have nothing to offer and must be swept aside if Nigeria is to make progress. They will both be finished and relegated to history after Buhari is sworn in as President so they best give this fight their all. |
abacusCm:Well-said OP. Furthermore, if GEJ could only take Nigeria backwards over almost 5 years of oil selling at around $100 or more per barrel what will this worthless President now make of Nigeria when oil prices are heading towards $40 per barrel? When you were a millionaire and could not renovate your run-down house, how on earth do you then plan to refurbish the same property when you are broke? The Nigerians supporting GEJ are mainly only enemies of progress who want GEJ to continue destroying Nigeria and sentimental/ethnocentric folks who have allowed prejudice against others to cloud their judgement completely. For the rest of us, it is crystal clear that GEJ has to go. |
Reolam:Indeed. As for the ludicrous topic, I can only conclude it is the product of an idle and jobless mind with nothing tangible to reflect on this Monday morning. Cowardice is not a word Buhari understands and it is certainly not a repulsive religious charlatan like Oyedepo, who assaulted a young child openly and unapologetically to the horror of the world, the General will pay attention to. Buhari is concerned with rescuing Nigeria and her over 170 million inhabitant. He has no time for a fraudster, prosperity conman and 'highest bidder' mercenary like Oyedepo. This disgraceful 'gatekeeper' of hell is inconsequential in the grand scheme of thing and is simply another insincere voice, amongst many, deceiving GEJ and leading him towards disgrace at the polls. |
ibisko04:Indeed Sir. Obama has just proclaimed the GEJ Government "ineffective" while condemnation has come in internationally for Nigeria over how the US Military is now working with Chad and Cameron while side-lining and ignoring "insincere" Nigeria. Soludo , former CBN Governor, has waded in to give a very negative and scathing indictment of the 5 years of GEJ. No intelligent and/or balanced person can be found supporting GEJ today. The economy is in serious trouble and Boko Haram just killed 2,000 Nigerians recently while continuing its voracious quest to claim territory from an elected Government that is mandated to defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria at all cost. Runaway corruption has rendered Nigeria comatose while strikes and civic unrest loom as the irresponsibly corrupt and thieving FG cut allocation to States leaving many struggling seriously to fund recurrent expenditure such as wages. It is problems galore everywhere because of the mismanagement of GEJ. Not many, home and abroad, are smiling with the GEJ Government. Goodwill behind Buhari, as GEJ himself enjoyed in 2011, is enormous and directly proportionate to the monumental and shocking failings of GEJ. They have looted all the income that should have been put away as "rainy day" savings when all prices remained incredibly high virtually through the 5 years GEJ has led Nigeria to make him the President/head of State who has had the biggest income to work with by far !!!! Please let the PDP hurry up and head to Court to fight Buhari if the Party dares. Not only will they be humbled and disgraced badly , as with the Tambuwal affair, but this will hasten the eruption of the pent-up anger Nigerians are harbouring against this callous and unrepentant government that is consumed with hounding others rather than owning up to its own misrule which has gotten us where we are today. |
emeka2847:Thank you very much. If we are to face issues dispassionately then it will be obvious that GEJ has failed horrendously. Charles Soludo is the latest prominent voice to confirm this. As you surmised, GEJ enjoyed immense goodwill and backing in 2011. He squandered it wilfully by pandering to a corrupt, wicked and highly callous cabal consisting of the same set of AGIPs (any government in power) who have contrived to destroy Nigeria over decades. GEJ and the PDP simply must go so that Nigeria can begin the very difficult process of turning around the damage 16 years of the PDP has done. The bigoted OP and his ilk can remain here pandering to their ethnocentric and vendetta-driven obsession with maligning an entire ethnic group but decent Nigerians, wherever they come from, know that this is entirely about the failings of GEJ over 5 years that has now led Nigeria to the precipice of total and traumatic breakdown. https://www.nairaland.com/2113471/buhari-vs-jonathan-beyond-election My advice to President Jonathan and his handlers is |
This OP makes me laugh. Courts have opened and he is jubilating because he thinks litigation can be used to stop Buhari. OP is simply a child who should not be allowed to discuss amongst adults. OP, we know you are desperate and childish but can you remind us how the PDP fared in their Court case against Tambuwal ? My childish friend, the issues with Nigeria are very, very serious and GEJ has failed woefully. He must leave. No Court can save him. You don't get the central point most mature and responsible adults have accepted which is that GEJ must leave or Nigeria fails totally !!! Charles Soludo is another prominent and informed voice who has just delivered a damning verdict on the President you are bigotedly fond of defending blindly. If you were not such an ethnocentric devotee of GEJ you will see he has effed up so badly that Nigerians are simply begging Buhari to take over!!!!! Rather, it is GEJ the courts may contrive to remove for how badly he has led Nigeria to the point we resemble a failed State. Were our legislators not hideously corrupt then GEJ would have been booted out ages ago for his impeachable offences which would likely run into the thousands. See Soludo's brutal indictment of GEJ below to note that nothing can save the President you clannishly worship. You are very immature OP and I don't blame you for childishly clinging to the hope the Courts can save Jonathan. https://www.nairaland.com/2113471/buhari-vs-jonathan-beyond-election My advice to President Jonathan and his handlers is |
Kx:John Kerry is a highly decorated Naval Military officer who fought in Vietnam. |
Buhari is always seen looking others in the eye to maintain firm , confident, sincere and no-nonsense eye contact as all sagacious leaders do. Febuhari 14th is three weeks away. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2065011_16364323915c6e988d65cz_jpeg3205ddb1b7f2d68b304f9b3d463132c0 |
Descartes:Of course. I am no 'omo ale' like the fake Yorubas you like and cackle with on this forum. While I abhor the sort of discrimination and prejudice demonstrated by the OP, I will always defend my ethnic group passionately against revisionism and vile slurs from ethnocentric charlatans like you and the OP. That I am not your 'type' of Yoruba does not bother me at all. I am here to speak in defence of what is best for Nigeria and not to be liked or praised by repellent bigots like you. |
RevDesmondJuju:The only "hypocrite" and "stupid" person on this thread is you with how you do not realise that your asinine message makes no sense and will never make sense even if you repeat it a thousand times as you are trying to do by desperately creating multiple threads on the same topic like a jobless hack. |
mikeansy:Stop fooling yourself. Folks in the south-west are pragmatically rational. They have no predilection for 'cutting their noses to spite their face' because of an ethnocentric and vendetta-driven dedication to the "chop sand syndrome" the likes of the OP live for 24/7. GEJ was given a chance and he failed over 5 long years to make Nigeria horribly worse-off. The SW cannot vote for a continuation of deaths and the 'Somaliarisation' of Nigeria. The people of the region will not continue supporting overtly choking corruption that is crippling the nation. To cut a long story short, the SW will not assist the ultra-inept , hideously corrupt and grotesquely-callous GEJ to turn Nigeria into a failed State even if that is what the OP and other enemies-of-progress like him want. |
@OP You are a sad bigot and pitiful clown. This is the second thread from you, within a few hours, targeting the SW and Yorubas . Na by force? Why not simply go and vote for whoever you want and let others do same? As many of us told you on your silly thread below, it is not possible to coerce the Yorubas to vote on ethno-religious ground after the monumental failure of GEJ over 5 years. Don't make the mistake of assuming the Yorubas are completely consumed with and susceptible to ethno-religious bigotry, to the point of being blind to reason, as you and others are. The Yorubas have supported GEJ enough. In 2011 the Yorubas voted unanimously for GEJ and helped him win all States in the SW bar Osun on his way to becoming President. Ribadu won in Osun and Buhari got nada from the SW in 2011 while GEJ overwhelmingly got our mandate to go and make a difference as President. GEJ horrendously failed to deliver on the trust reposed in him. That, and that alone, is now what the Yorubas are judging him on. Find something better to do with your time because constituting yourself into a nuisance to others just shows you are a pathetic menace. https://www.nairaland.com/2112216/southwest-buhari-jealousy-alliance |
Bruteforce1o1:Indeed. Why can some folks simply not head to the poll and vote who they want and allow others to do same? What is the sense voting to give GEJ four more years when this action is tantamount to slicing one's own throat or driving into a concrete wall at 150 MPH? Boko Haram is fast eroding the territorial integrity and sensible Nigerians should vote for a worsening of this currently deplorable situation just to deny "aboki" of power? Or is it runaway corruption the Yorubas should support because some feel we owe GEJ "southern solidarity" and must foolishly cut our nose to spite our face by rejecting "gambari"? Some folks are just pathetic. While I don't care whether bigots vote for GEJ or otherwise it would be nice if those determined to do the right things are left in peace rather than constantly assailed with hateful and senseless postulations from ethnocentric half-wits. |
ilugunboy:Correct. In fact many of them know and accept that GEJ is leading Nigeria towards chaos and anarchy but this is precisely what they want. They cannot stomach the thought of a resolute President like Buhari coming in to arrest the rot and rescue Nigeria from failing totally. These vendetta-driven folks simply want Nigeria to fail and view GEJ as the leader to help that happen. |
timilehin007:You insult Soyinka based on the lies of others and you ask not to be insulted? Safe to say you are no believer in the saying "charity begins at home". You call him "lousy big headed man" yet you do not expect those who respect the Prof to take you on in regards to those insult against Soyinka? Be reasonable and you will be spoken to politely. |
omonnakoda:Don't mind the dishonest OP. GEJ was seen as "transformation" in 2011 and ,based on that perception, the Yorubas in all States bar Osun voted for him to be President. After 5 years of total misrule, hideous corruption and insecurity threatening to turn Nigeria in to Somalia or Iraq, why on earth can some people not understand and accept the simple reason many Yorubas now have no interest in voting for GEJ next month? If some are determined to cast their votes on ethnocentric and bigoted ground, why should they insinuate the Yorubas must do same? Should we all be driven by sentiments, emotions and sectional bias where the future of our children and generations unborn is at stake? We should irresponsibly vote for GEJ to continue and then watch Nigeria become a nation where majority of Nigerians are hurdled in Lagos because Boko Haram, perhaps aided by a terrorist alliance from all over the world, control everywhere else? Some folks are just too damn tribalistic to the extent they cannot even tell right from wrong. |
Tonnierichy:You are the one 'bleeping' up by validating the saying "if you want to hide things from a black man keep it in a book". Do you guys never read anything informative other than gossip about who Tonto Dike is 'bleeping'? What manner of ignorance is this for god sake? Soyinka has denied these sort of crap so many time yet it is now obvious, as per the law of supply and demand, that some unprincipled charlatan will not stop peddling these lies while gullible and ignorant elements like you abound on social media websites. |
timilehin007:How many times must Soyinka come out to deny he has endorsed or written-off any candidate before you people can learn to comment appropriately and learn to refrain from responding unthinkingly to outright lies like a Monkey stepping in a pile of dung to reach a banana thrown at it? It is really sad that ignorant folks who never read or educate themselves are always the ones quick to insult and disparage others. Soyinka is addressing people like you in particular with the part in bold below. http://www.thecable.ng/never-endorsed-presidential-governorship-candidate-says-soyinka I never endorsed any presidential or governorship candidate, says Soyinka |
@OP. You can insult the SW and Yoruba folks as much as you want. That will not prevent the good people of the region going to cast their votes for who they believe will deliver good governance after the 5 worthless years of GEJ. If not that you people are irredeemable and unsavoury bigots, why do you keep forgetting that the same SW voted for GEJ against Buhari only 4 years ago in 2011? Had GEJ delivered good governance to validate the trust the people of the SW placed in him, would many in the region today be looking at Buhari as change today? This show what people like you are i.e totally unreasonable elements who play victim always and never take responsibility for their own action. GEJ is in this position with the people of the SW because of his misrule of Nigeria. Nothing more, nothing less. Learn to speak the truth and shame the devil so that all those associated with you, like your children, may be proud of you. |
Collynzo419:Bruv, it is only "begging" as interpreted by ethnocentric and vendetta-obsessed minds. This is simple politicking and it shows you the childish world some losers live in when they can interpret Fashola's action as anything different to what politicians do worldwide to get electoral support from all relevant voting blocs. It is just so irritating to see some Nigerians displaying this level of backwardness and childish idiocy. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/politicking politicking |
Egbami OOOO !!!!! Why are some people so sentimental and completely devoid of pragmatic reasoning? Fashola, during election campaigning, holds up a card saying "Ambode Ndigbo choice" and that amounts to "begging"? What is wrong with some people? When will you guys learn to play the game and begin viewing politics dispassionately as a means to an end ? When will you ever shun sentiments to partake in politics without rancour, vengefulness, bitterness and ethnocentric obstinacy? When will you guys develop some maturity? This is bog standard electioneering practice of appealing to all blocs that only ethnocentric rabble-rousers and vainglorious n1twits will read anything into. When Ambode wins with a landslide victory then it will be obvious to you bitter folks why Fashola was holding up that poster while you bitter, vendetta-driven and empty losers were ranting impotently in cyberspace about APC "marginalisation" and similar ridiculous lies that are the figment of your imagination related to your siege mentality and persecution complex. As if we do not know that 95% of the loud-mouths on this thread are empty chest-beaters and confused charlatans who are not even Lagosians. |
The rantings of Ants. |
emiye:Indeed. The PDP should accept that Nigeria now wishes to be a sane nation like others worldwide where the reward for misruling an electorate is to receive a boot to the azz come election time. |
