This has been in the offing from even the beginning of Tambuwal's tenure. The speaker, in body language and actual deeds, has never hidden his affection and gratitude for the opposition that supported him to power when GEJ and other PDP bigwigs tried to prevent him from emerging as Speaker house of reps. If Tambuwal eventually defects then this is another feather in the hat of Tinubu confirming the man's political vision and strategic thinking. Ajibola Muraina today, had he become speaker, would be another cheap endorser/tool of GEJ. As it is, Tambuwal could now be a serious asset for the APC because he has never felt a sense of belonging for his own Party that did everything to undermine him politically.

With all the imperfections of the APC, they're miles better than the evil PDP which is built on looting and nothing but looting. APC can only get better and i already see the loss of Ekiti making them even more pro-people. So, you may vote PDP, but APC would still win Lagos. Lagosians are smarter than that.

This is why it is best for real Lagosians to just ask the OP to vote whoever he wants instead of engaging his argument which is clearly dishonest, extremely biased and unfair. Obanikoro has lost traction in Lagos politics and besides is yet to be forgiven for dashing the hopes of thousands of Lagosians by getting himself out-manoeuvred by the APC rigging machine in 2007. He should make do with maybe a senior ministerial position going forward.

Very easily is how. Although I must remind one-way traffic Nairalanders that Ambode has not emerged the APC candidate yet. In case some fake Lagosians have not realised it, Lagos State is not a "vote individual and not Party" State. Voters tend to look at everything in a pragmatic and inter-related manner.

It is the heights of naivete and ignorance to think Agbaje's name alone will make PDP palatable enough to claim victory. Lagos politics is more complex than that and I cannot blame desperate yet ultimately ignorant elements for not realising this.
