egift:Precisely. I for one will not be distracting myself paying attention to individuals like that let alone be found responding to them. |
blink182:"Stakeholder" refers to roles of everyone at all levels where they are required to play a part and are entitled to do so as relevant participants. It is only because we tend to be sentimental in Nigeria and that is why we do not see or acknowledge our responsibilities, roles and limits regarding encroaching in what is beyond our remit. Come the general election, you will be a stakeholder in who becomes your President and your duty will be to go out and vote. Will you allow any Party boss to demand you must vote for so and so candidate? You are not and never allowed to threaten and blackmail a political Party over the candidate they should field same as no one can bully you as per who to vote for. It is not done anywhere else in the world. It is Party stakeholders who choose Party candidates while the electorate go out to vote. Do you see the supporters of the Labour and conservative Parties in the UK telling, nay demanding, their respective Parties must choose certain candidates to contest the general election or they vote for another Party? What about the democrats and republicans in the USA? Please vote GEJ and the PDP because you cannot blackmail others to do your bidding in relation to a process the constitution of a Party does not allow you to have a say in let alone be making demands over. Your position is not tenable nor reasonable. I for example will be disappointed if the APC field Atiku but I will never threaten to vote for the PDP because there are still so many other influential offices to be fought for (Governorship, legislative et al) in consonance with my belief that the APC is the Party to deliver good leadership across all levels. The issue at hand is simple. You won't be allowed to tell the APC who to field. If their eventual choice is one you do not like then vote the PDP. |
nuclearboy:My brother, remember the wise words of Obama? ‘If You Don’t Have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.’GEJ fans know and totally accept that their messiah has zero record of performance to fall back on let alone use as a 2015 election selling point. They are thus, as Obama surmised, desperate folks eager to portray Buhari, with all manners of lie and scaremongering, as someone Nigerians should run away from. In my own little way, I will do what I can to make influential APC leaders see the need to use Obama's very wise observation as a motto to promote Buhari. The message will resonate with Nigerians that the private jet elite GEJ has created single-handedly and the ultra-corrupt oligarchy he empowered have nothing to sell GEJ with, because he is a universally acclaimed failure, and are thus left with no options other than to embrace the desperate tactics of trying to present Buhari as someone Nigerians should fear. To reasonable Nigerians, it will soon become obvious that a hardened criminal fears nothing above a dedicated and focused policeman/lawman determined to bring him down. Ponder why Al Capone feared and worried about his eventual nemesis , Elliot Ness, so much and this gives a clue why the corrupt pals of GEJ are having sleepless nights about a GMB who can now compete under a strong, influential and well-supported platform. This is why those who want Nigeria to remain failed, so they can continue to profit privately from the misery of the masses, fear GMB and are determined to demonize him. |
blink182:That is not a problem. The APC stakeholders will choose who they think are the best duo to contest the general election. If you do not approve of their choice then kindly vote for the PDP as you say. |
Ucheosefoh:Use the link below and see for yourself that you TANdroids are living in denial. You guys continue to deny the obvious which is that Nigerians want and are ready for change. Dishonestly, you hardcore fans of GEJ fail to accept he has turned out to be the opposite of what Nigerians thought him to be ("fresh air", "boy with no shoes" and "transformation" ) which made them troop to cast their vote for GEJ in 2011. Jonathan, in reality, is worse than the past leaders Nigerians were convinced he would be a distinct departure from. You lot better believe that the desire to get rid of GEJ is very real and urgent for most Nigerians. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/169737-2015-election-buhari-leads-jonathan-in-poll-organized-by-presidential-aide.html |
@OP No disrespect, but your entire analysis is ridiculed by one point you fundamentally misread. If GEJ loses to a landslide opposition victory, then I would really think it would be virtually impossible for MEND to ferment trouble. It would be obvious to the entire world that GEJ was not prevented from running. It was Nigerians who rejected him overwhelmingly. What would their agitation be based upon and who would support an undemocratic refusal to accept that Nigerians in the majority have clearly chosen their President even if that man is not GEJ? Never forget that, In the past, it could be argued somewhat meritoriously that the MEND cause was just. You are now remaking them in the image of politically compromised and born-to-rule criminals. There would be no sympathy for MEND under such a drastic 'facelift' and completely revised modus operandi. Most Nigerians would overwhelmingly support that the group be crushed since it now only wants to be anarchic for the sake of it and for the political fortune of one man rather than because of any 'injustice' committed against a people or their land. No one nowhere would stand for a 're-branded' MEND, acting as a political militia group for GEJ and his leadership ambition, blackmailing Nigeria. The rest of your points, like that above you get very wrong, just show a predilection for scaremongering not predicated on solid cause-and-effect logic. |
TANdroids will be the last to accept that Nigerians are fed up of their ultra-corrupt and "Private jet" messiah. The main achievement GEJ can claim is that private jet ownership has sky-rocketed under his government yet most Nigerians still wallow in abject and worsening poverty. http://omojuwa.com/ If 2015 Elections held today, I'd vote... |
Not a fan of PEJ but our first lady is prettier than most of these 'drag queens'. This is a choice biased towards fair skin only because most of these woman are not beautiful in my opinion. The Cameroonian first lady, WTF |
DONLEKAN:I stand to be corrected but I think the period for voters registration is over unless INEC announce further dates for CVR (continuous voters registration). The most current period for CVR for Ogun state was between Thursday 28th August – Sunday 31st August, 2014 at designated CVR centres in the local government of voters. As per mobilising Nigerians, we must all embrace innovation to work on things online and on the ground. Online, for example, I am going to try and push to organise Q&A session, via another blog away from Nairaland, with prominent APC politicians to present pertinent questions Nigerians want to ask about APC's planned solutions to the biggest problems facing our nation. There are voters who will be won over if they see the comprehensive plans and leadership template of the APC. There are many other ideas I won't talk of because I do not want certain ideas plagiarised by the 'desperados'. When the APC has a substantive candidate then these ideas will be rolled out. In your own capacity, convince all registered voters who are friends and relatives to embrace change so we can get Nigeria on track again. |
Chubhie:How is he "going about the light issue"? With the crony capitalism fraud packaged as "power privatisation" and only able to deliver darkness? GEJ's fraudulent approach, steeped in deception and an overarching self-aggrandizement agenda, is not the answer. This is why nothing at all, nada, has changed for the better so far. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crony_capitalism Crony capitalism is a term describing an economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. It may be exhibited by favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks, or other forms of state interventionism.[1][2] Crony capitalism is believed to arise when business cronyism and related self-serving behavior by businesses or businesspeople spills over into politics and government,[3] or when self-serving friendships and family ties between businessmen and the government influence the economy and society to the extent that it corrupts public-serving economic and political ideals. |
drauj:Thank you. Your heart is in the right place. It is the same for me. I come here and regularly take insults from TANdroids and Jonathanians because of my belief Nigerians deserve more for their human and Natural resources endowment. I am not hungry and will only say what to eat is not my problem. To see Nigerians enjoy what I have and take for granted virtually every day is the reason I will continue to back the pursuit of good governance which can never include hideously corrupt and accidental leaders like GEJ. GMB will change Nigeria because he has the will and goodness of character to do so. |
ISpiksDaTroof:He is not fooling anyone. Using Fela, in a pathetic attempt to curry favour with the Yorubas, is simply laughable. As Django stated already, Fela would despise GEJ deeply if alive and would have reeled off song after song lambasting the merciless and unprecedented private jet level of corruption GEJ is a master of. Gani Fawehinmi is another who would also be an outspoken critic of GEJ if alive today. GEJ is so brazenly corrupt, he is not even ashamed showing the world he is corruption-friendly with the sick and twisted display of Ifeanyi Uba (in court for the fuel subsidy scam) as a sponsor and organiser of TAN. Shameful and the sort of thing not seen anywhere else in the world. The point is that GEJ will not be voted for in Yorubaland because he only represents hideous corruption today unlike in 2011 when many viewed him as "change" and a departure from the past. GEJ will not be getting ethnocentric, religious or clannish support from the Yorubas because the only thing people of the ethnic group care to judge him on is his performance in office. That being the case, we know GEJ is a big failure to virtually all Yorubas in this regard. |
Womanitarian:Don't mind them. The same people who urged us to vote for the boy who was broke to the extent " he had no shoes" now wish to speak as if it is a crime the General refused to enrich himself when he had ample chance to do so. When they say Nigerians are criminal-minded many of us get annoyed yet how can any Nigerian, in good conscience, take to the net to insinuate it is a crime for Buhari not to be wealthy? Buhari is simply a man who does not believe he needs massive amount of money to be happy. He is more interested in serving ordinary Nigerians without seeking any financial reward same as some of the worlds most humanitarian and genuinely godly folks were people who had no use for money and opulence like Mother Theresa, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Sankara et al. |
omenka:Bro, I prefer TANdroids to TANoids. I coined TANdroid after the word android because of the robotic behaviour of Jonathanians. Forget android as a mobile phones OS. Originally, An android is a robot that looks human. Does that description not fit Jonathanians who all act like robots programmed to only shout "GEJ till 3030" while supporting anything their corrupt messiah does? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/android a mobile robot usually with a human form |
High grade skunk weed at work. |
omenka:Don't mind them. The latest is to malign Buhari for being poor yet how is that something any balanced person would not find attractive about Buhari considering we have a President who presents $50,000 or more as "transport money" for visitors? These haters of Buhari are just shameless. What is there to like or support about the ultra-corrupt GEJ? Many Nigerians are despicable people with how they embrace a mindless agenda of demonizing a good man (GMB) while supporting the ultra-corrupt and hideously inept GEJ who is rapidly taking Nigeria towards becoming a failed State. http://saharareporters.com/2010/11/28/president-jonathan-offered-us-50000-bribe-we-returned-it-pastor-tunde-bakare-confirms President Jonathan Offered Us $50,000 Bribe, But We Returned It - Pastor Tunde Bakare Confirms |
soroptimist:I saw his pathetic 'dobale' and grovelling towards SW voters on another thread and had to laugh at his shamelessness. The dude, like many two-faced individuals like him, is only worth ignoring. "Good Nigerians" my foot. "Iwoyi ni aro"? They were never good Nigerians when being routinely referred to as "gambari slaves" and "Boko haramists" for the past 4 years. They played politics of rancour, division, enmity and religious/ethnic intolerance for 5 years and now think their pathetic and insincere grovelling can buy them 4 more years. Their oga in two-faced behaviour (GEJ) has begun his own "dobale" to the North by coming out recently to say "Boko haram are not moslems" in his effort to curry favours with the region. Too late. We dey laff. Abeg my brother, join me laff nau. |
patrickmuf:Bro, I actually feel embarrassed for the clannish fans of GEJ and how they miss what is incredibly obvious. . I must say I am shocked by the spectacular lack of intelligence TANdroids and Jonathanians are displaying. Is it not obvious to them what they are doing in the desperation to blacken Buhari? You mumuish olodos do not even know your own Country and people !!! What got GEJ into Aso Rock in 2011 if not the "boy with no shoes" ruse Nigerians bought hook, line and sinker in their millions? Many Nigerians voted for GEJ because they connected with the idea he is a modest and ordinary man, just like them, who would be able to identify with and fight for the average Nigeria. Now you cretins are actually sabotaging your corrupt messiah (GEJ) and giving GMB free "boy with no shoes" publicity through your obsession with attacking him over taking a loan to pay for his nomination form. Nigerians, even better than the "boy with no shoes" ruse, will simply see GMB as "man with no money". They know that Buhari, LIke OBJ, IBB Abacha, Danjuma, Atiku and GEJ, was in a position to steal massively plus build hilltop mansion and bank billions of dollars. Yet Buhari had to struggle to pay an amount that local government chairmen in Nigeria give their mistresses to go shopping in London. Now, desperate olodo Jonathanians, tell me how this will resonate with Nigerians? TANmumu jokers, all this garbage you are writing is for the bitter, educated Jonathanains like yourself. The average Nigerians on the ground will love that Buhari struggled to pay, for his form, an amount virtually all your leaders carry in the glove box of their cars to settle the praise singers they come across daily. |
Another "buhari took a loan to buy declaration form" thread. I must say I am shocked by the spectacular lack of intelligence you TANdroids and Jonathanians are displaying. Obiagelli:My dear, we dey laff. It baffles me, just because Nigerians are known universally for "suffering and smiling", how so many deluded TANdroids can assume majority of Nigerians will go to the polls next year to return GEJ to power when we have all seen he is only about hideous corruption, insecurity, promoting of criminality, scams everywhere, power privatisation 419, SURE-P duplicity, employment fraud that claimed the lives of some young Nigerians and many, many, many negative things we cannot list on 20 sheets of A4 paper. We dey laff abeg join me dey laff. |
PapiWata:Hard to see why anyone would find it difficult to denote the sarcasm in your post. I have not met many intelligent. exposed and balanced folks who like or support the pastorpreneurs Nigeria seems to produces in copious numbers like Oyedepo, Oritsejafor, Oyakhilome, T.B Joshua et al. All crooks and hardened criminals the lot of them. Garish suits, private jets, luxury cars, fried hair and drenched hideously in bling. How are those overt display of crass materialism, vanity and worldliness compatible with Christianity? |
@ All APC supporters. I will advice you guys to stop entertaining petrified TANdroids and desperado Jonathanians and wasting valuable time on them. They know the game is up and we APC supporters all have work to do which should preclude us from indulging their distracting antics. Nairaland and cyberspace go hear wien from the Obama-like strategizing of intelligent and innovative APC supporters. We all remember the many youths and volunteer, on belief and conviction alone, who got involved to get Obama over the line. They walked and talked miles for him. Let that be our own strategy too. Engaging Jonathanians in mindless back-and-forth mean they will mire you in the mud of misrule, gross ineptitude and hideous corruption their oga at the top (GEJ) is neck deep in and now universally known for. We are past the time for that. Let us remember the wise words of Obama, below, in choosing to ignore the distracting antics of desperate TANdroids. We should focus on highlighting what is good, positive and transformational about the APC rather than allow ourselves be derailed or distracted. They have a failed product which is 100% rotten 5 years old meat few buyers are interested in. We will have a candidate who represents change and hope for a better future. We are all educated and should focus on making other Nigerians see and embrace this change instead of wasting time engaging the clannish supporters of a failed criminal empire Nigerians are desperately waiting for the chance to send packing. ‘If You Don’t Have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.’ |
LagosBoi2:Indeed bro . Remember the saying by Obama i.e “If you have no record to run on, then paint the other guy as someone to run from”. This is what the PDP and GEJ have engaged in since 2011 instead of leading Nigeria effectively. They have failed Nigeria and can only embrace the crude tactics of trying to blacken the APC and the Party's popular stars and candidates like Fashola, Aregbesola, Buhari et al. They have failed and Nigerians are no longer buying it. They will continue to produce desperate threads like this that will achieve nada. Time up for them. Game over. |
APC fans remember the words of Obama and understand what these desperado Jonathanians are up to. GEJ has left them with only Barack Obama said: “If you have no record to run on, then paint the other guy as someone to run from”. |
berem:My dear, the problem is that the corruption baron they support (GEJ) has left them nothing to work with. Nada. They then have to try rudimentary scaremongering. While their ogas like Metuh, Abati, 'fat boy' Okupe, 'obrokoto' Asari Dokubo et al are busy working the religious and ethnic angle, these lot are coming here to roll around on the floor over how Buhari paid for his form. Like Odigie-Oyegun stated aptly, would Buhari still be trying to rescue the Nigerian ship today if ALi Baba (GEJ) and his 40 thieves (Allison-Madueke, Adoke Bello et al) are not doing a great job sinking the same ship? I find the OP's desperate attempt comical. It is the oldest trick in the book. We all remember the saying of Obama that so aptly describes the futile and desperate efforts of these petrified TANdroids and fearful Jonathanians i.e “If you have no record to run on, then paint the other guy as someone to run from”. |
omenka:Bro, the OP is only worth laughing at as Saturday comedy. Opening threads up and down to say the same thing about how Buhari paid for his declaration form just shows the desperation of these TANdroids and GEJ's 'Lord's resistance army' crew. They are now reduced to pathetic scaremongering over everything Buhari does because they see him as the main threat to their corrupt messiah. Since the ultra-corrupt, highly inept and misruling GEJ they support clannishly has left them no 'performance card' to play , meaning they have nothing to sell our woeful President with, they must use scaremongering to try and blacken Buhari and make him appear unelectable and unappealing. Won't work. Nigerians now know it is the hideously corrupt GEJ who is unelectable and unappealing. If Buhari wears a suit, national yawa. If he wears agbada then world war three. If he attends a church service na wahala. If he visits a mosque they want him locked up for 50 years. These guys, all reeking of fear, are so sad and pathetic. Is it the fault of Buhari that GEJ squandered 5 long yearsand only succeeded in moving Nigeria backwards while creating a private jet oligarchy of scammers, militants. AGIPs, corruption barons, crooked army chiefs , devilish contractors , worthless political jobbers and hardened criminals? |
berem:Indeed. When a poster opens two virtually identical thread (see below) to obstinately make the same irrelevant point then you know such a person has issues ala extremism and fundamentalism. We are expecting thread number 3,4 5 and 6 from OP all on Buhari's form collection. Meanwhile, the General has picked up his form declaring his interest and Nigerians are very excited and hopeful. Some sad folks can remain here ranting about a non-existent point they think they are making. https://www.nairaland.com/1953092/buhari-uses-man-know-man-collect-bank |
Amaechi always passionate and fully committed. Reminds me of Patrice Lumumba. |
Bugatie:When people like you say this, I only imagine extremely envious, highly insecure and petty folks. Speak as you wish and let others do the same. Have I ever called you out for your writing style? |
The OP and his acolytes on this thread make me laugh with their 'grasping at straw' histrionics and hypocrisy. They just will not leave Buhari alone and must nitpick at everything the GEneral does because of the threat he represents to their corrupt and misruling messiah. These are the same folks who will shout to high heavens that Buhari has billions hidden away somewhere. Yet they are angry the same man has to get a loan for an amount most local government chairmen 'dash' to their mistresses. Confused people. This is another proof of Buhari's integrity and clean character. |
Oyedepo is no man of God. I only pity the herded folks who made this fraudster filthy rich. |
naijababe:How can Buhari, an APC politician, "marshall his popularity and support behind" Ribadu and Shekarau who are PDP members? El Rufai may even lose his own ward regardless of if he even got plastic surgery to look like Buhari !!! EL Rufai has fallen behind somewhat politically and current political dynamics have overtaken him and rendered him so unpopular he is today a gamble no one is willing to take a risk on. To me, and for now, EL Rufai is unlikely to win a gubernatorial election let alone deliver the Presidency for the APC. He would probably only return to power by being drafted into an executive appointment. Kwankwaso is the only realistic option yet he is a gamble also unlikely to poll 25%-40% of the votes Buhari can in the North. All in all, why gamble when Buhari will guarantee all you want to see? Why are you so uncomfortable with Buhari as President when he may be the best chance of gaining a President who will guarantee you see our youngest, most articulate and most vibrant leaders in positions of influence and "transformation" on a scale never seen before in the history of Nigeria? |
