Last year December, we had a major project we needed to fast track, I new I was to stay, but I lied saying I was going to SA for vacation and my boss bought it. Ok, the Nigerian police presently is federal. But any police security issue (not the armed forces) in a state is reported to the governor of the state as the CSO, Hence you hear the state govt procuring vehicles and assistance to the state police dept. Basically, each police commissioner gives security report to the state governor first. Hope I've made some sense ?

Fayose's anti-$2b loan letter is just a child's play compared to how APC almost pulled down Nigeria in their quest for the presidency. For those who are short in memory, pls consider the following;

1. APC instructed legislators elected under their party to block Jonathan's $1b loan request to fight Boko haram.

2. APC governors vehemently opposed Jonathan's ingenuity to save for rainy days by going as far as the Supreme Court to stop the ECA.

3. APC openly opposed designation of Boko haram as a terrorist organisation. That singular action embolden the insurgents to wreck more havoc. That's a height of sabotage any opposition party can unleash on a nation it planned to rule.

5. APC in connivance with Jacob Zuma who's a staunch ally of Tinubu ensured Nigeria's quest to procure arms from South Africa through black market (having been frustrated by the West through official route) was truncated.

Insults asides though, The president/head of state of a country, enjoys the benefits of that office even after tenure in office.
They enjoy security detail and upkeep/salary also. The office of the NSA takes the responsibility of these duties. Statutory means its binding by the statutes of the law. Uhm.....when idea and views are being aired, i often assume that there needs to be a level of maturity and this makes views logical and highly cerebal. I wont go down this path with you. Nigeria has gotten to a state where tribalistic and religious sentiments tends to take over logical views. We really need to grow to a stage where we look beyond this, there are so many multi ethnic families these days, you assume I'm free of Ibo blood cause of my view on Biafra and my handle, and you are wrong. The honest truth is this, insurgency is a different kind of warfare, it's not a regular war. In this situation these Islamists strike and run, they have no stronghold in the states they strike, instead the blend with the citizens. An understanding of the warfare is needed, before following the bandwagon in blaming the government. Globally internal insurgency never really ends, Israel has been battling with this for over 60 years with all its superior intelligence and arsenal. In my own opinion, judging from your financial standpoint and the judicial snail paced system in the country, I'll advise you go to a mediation centre, find one around your state, its usually in the ministry of justice in the state secretariat, it would cost you nothing, and a letter would be sent to the company to report to the office, this tends to solve disputes. Give it a try for a start.

Guess we mistaken hangout bars for clubs, all clubs in nigeria (registered ones at least) are soundproof, noise pollution needs to be curbed, The sanction should not be biased though, it should cut across all religions

My sister submitted her study permit paper application (with upfront medicals) to the embassy in Accra on June 13 and VFS online tracking was updated yesterday (June 29) saying "Your processed passport has been dispatched to the Canada Visa Office". She will only be able to go pick up her passport next week so we don't yet know if she got approved.

Since she hasn't received an approval email from CIC, is it likely that her application was delayed? Basically, does the embassy always send an approval email when the application is approved?
