Hello guys, Am yet to receive my TRANSCORP shares certificate could there be something going on or are they sending it in batches. Plz who is their registrar |
I really need your advice on this issue. Am thinking of sell my zenith bank shares to buy their offer(technical suspension), currently the it goes for N46 in the market. will it be wise for me to sell it or hold on till the offer is over before selling it. My fare is this 1, Is there any hope the price will raise beyond N46 after the offer. 2, Should I hold on to it, take advantage of the right issue before selling my shares and buy the right issue for N36 and sell my shares after the offer. If you guys can remember first Bank did not do well as people really expect NB i only want to maximize profit |

@Ralvy Thanx so much. Am so much happy with your explanation, it really worked. |
@Maleeq I really appreciate your response. I don’t intend using a domain because we don’t have more than 10 systems in my office and even the cost. I have a router that link all the systems to the internet; they also use a dynamic IP address which I don’t want to change to static due to some reasons. Regarding the issue of updates and stuffs like, I can do away with it. All I want them to do is the normal Microsoft office Suite work i.e typing and they should be able to access the network in other to share resources (Files, Printer etc) |
Please, how can i disable my Microsoft Internet Explorer? I don't want my staffs to be browsing the internet. They are misusing the internet for personal things and besides am so scared about scam mails. I tried removing it from the add and remove add/Remove Windows Components but its not removing. Is there any other way I can remove or disable it. NB Workstations are windows XP (workgroup) |
There was once an American businessman who was sitting by the beach in a small Mexican village. As he sat, he saw a Mexican fisherman rowing a small boat towards the shore and noticed that the fisherman has caught quite a number of big fishes that is known to be a delicacy. The American was really impressed and ask the fisherman, "How long does it take you to catch so many fishes?" The fisherman reply: "Oh, just a short while." "Then why don't you stay longer at sea and you could catch even more? The businessman was astonished. The fisherman simply does not agree, "This is enough to feed my whole family" he says. The businessman then asked: "So, what do you do for the rest of the day then?" The fisherman reply; "Well, I usually wake up early in the morning, go out to sea and catch a few fishes, then I would go back and play with my kids. In the afternoon, I will take a nap with my wife, and evening comes, I will join my buddies in the village for a drink, we played guitar, sing and dance throughout the night. My day was ever so complete and carefree." The businessman does not agree with his way of life and offered a suggestion to the fisherman. "I am a PhD holder graduated from Harvard University, specializes in business management. I could help you to become a more successful person. From now on, you have to spend more time at sea and try to catch as many fishes as possible. And when you have saved enough money, you could buy a bigger boat and catch even more fishes. As you go on, you will be able to afford to buy more boats, recruit more fishermen and lead a team of your own. Soon you will be able to set-up your own company, your very own production plant for canned food and do direct selling to your distributors. At that time, you will have moved out of this village and to Mexico city, and then expand your operation to LA, and finally to New York city, where you can set-up your HQ to manage all your other branches." The fisherman asks, "So, how long would that take?" The businessman reply: "About 15 to 20 years" The fisherman continued, "And after that?" The businessman laugh heartily, "After that, you can live like a king in your own house, and when the time is right, you can go public and float your shares in the Stock Exchange, by then you will be rich, your income will be coming in by the millions!!" The fisherman ask, "And after that?" The businessman says "After that, you can finally retire, you can move to a house by the fishing village, wake up early in the morning and catch a few fishes, then return home to play with the kids, have a nice afternoon nap with your wife, and when evening comes, you can join your buddies for a drink, play the guitar, sing and dance throughout the night!!" The fisherman was puzzled, "Isn't that what I am doing now?" |

Farmers might not want to mess with this chicken. In addition to its heft, the chicken sports four legs, each tipped with sharp claws. That's an extra set of legs for fleeing the coup where it lived on a farm along the West Bank near Hebron

The Obasanjo lead Government sudden declaration of Thursday 12 and Friday 13 Public holiday is baseless. I simply don’t see any sense in it, are the masses going to help INEC in putting things in order or there will be registration before election. INEC is yet to display how the ballot papers looks like. Personally I think this move is to stop Atiku& co from contesting, their case will be decided tomorrow or Friday in the court, so with this sudden declaration what will the court do. Continue with the sitting or Atiku&co should forget about the court order. Please Nairalander, this is a personal opinion. I want your suggestion. The Federal Ministry of Education and a global software company, CISCO, have concluded arrangement to strengthen the skills of 20,000 Nigerian graduates towards making them employable. Under the arrangement that was approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday, Cisco that has about 10,000 academies around the world, will take N3.7 billion or 84 per cent of the total cost of N4.3 billion while the Federal Government will take the remaining N684 million or 16 per cent. The Minister of Education, Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili, who stated this while briefing State House Correspondents after the weekly FEC, said that the number of Nigerians billed for the training was arrived at after an online survey of graduates from tertiary institutions over a 10-year period during which 29,000 graduates responded. While describing what she termed as the unfortunate “warehousing syndrome of Nigerian graduates”, she added that out of the 29,000 respondents, over 60 per cent were found to be unemployed and underemployed. The Minister of Education who said that a lot of countries have relied on CISCO to train their graduates, stated that “in our own case, we found out that when people talk about the new economy they refer to knowledge economy. One of the things that happen in knowledge economy is that sectors are now upgrading their knowledge base, whether it is the oil and gas or the communications sectors. It is all about capability and the capacity that you have in ICT. So in reskilling our glut of graduates towards employability, we needed to take them through a transformation and that transformation is coming in the form of partnership between the Federal Ministry of Education and CISCO”. Giving insight into the cost implication of the partnership between the Federal Gove-rnment and CISCO, Ezekwesili stated that “this would have been costing a significant amount if we had decided to fund it alone. But under the partnership, CISCO will take 84 per cent of the cost and the Federal Government will take 16 per cent. For a programme that would be costing N4.3 billion, CISCO will absorb N3.7 billion and the Federal Gover-nment will be contributing N684 billion. At the end of the exercise which will span 6 months, 12 months and 15 months certification, you can be certain that a good number of those graduates will be transformed”. She added that “CISCO, basically is a global company known for networking and has been running CISCO Academy all over the world. Currently, there are 10,000 of such academies around the world. They do it as part of their social and corporate responsibility. They require the country concerned to contribute into the training. We have entered into a strategic partnership with CISCO in which CISCO and Federal Ministry of Education will take 20, 000 of the 29,000 graduates surveyed. These graduates have clearly shown that they are going nowhere and CISCO is going to run an IT re-certification Programme which is of international academic standard. Many people who have gone through this programme go the internet and get jobs. So it is universal certification”. Source This Day http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=74802 |
