A40:I never bought that; It was always a suspicious transfer. Bayern is a big club too and i know United can't bully Bayern into selling their legends and i never stated otherwise. It was Bastian who wanted to leave but Bayern weren't exactly sad about it because he was pretty much useless to you guys then however a legend he was. Bayern midfield actually became stronger after he left. Why don't you guys take him back currently? ![]() Una don see MAGA abi? didn't Ancelloti rule out his return recently? You talked about him spending more time in Munich. Did it occur to you that this was where his Dr lived? You mean you have not seen injured athletes return to their homeland to recuperate? What do you mean by "working on his fitness" and what proof do you have that Schweinsteiger was not working on his fitness? What was the results of those visits? Basically nothing. Did they result in Bastian being less injured or did he become fitter? No They were useless, and that's why we're complaining. Some United players weren't even happy about that. If you've a personal doctor who is so important to you, it's best you bring him to the City or Country you're in; see Zlatan's case for example. What is wrong in traveling with your wife-to-be every now and then while injured? Should he become a Eunuch because he is the first player to get injured while playing for Manyoo?Bastian commitment to his new club was really in doubt and he did little to prove the contrary. I can remember him going for such trips when he was with Bayern. LVG was the one who allowed him such freedom but LVG ended up criticizing him after he realized how useless he was for United. That was the man who brought him in, and Bastian's failure at United was one of the numerous reasons for LVG failure. This was his first season in a new league. Yet neither Carrick, Herrera, M0ron Fellaini bested him. A certified midfield general like Schweini should have gotten the benefit of a doubt. Even the De Gea wey una dey blaspheme compare am to Neuer was bleh in his first season and didn't pick form immediatelyObviously, you don't follow United games. Carrick put in better performances than Bastian last season and currently he's still our best midfielder by far so stop saying what you don't know much about. Regards career and all time, Carrick is better than either Herrera or Fellani but Bastian is the best and is even a tier above any of them. Nobody doubts that but he's done so little at United and that's what matters. He's not a even United legend so there are no excuses for mediocrity because he never put in excellent performances for us in the past. Bastian at his best was easily better than Carrick or any of them but he's not at his best at United and it's very likely he's gonna be far away from his best all through. Last season, he was average at best all through, and i'm being nice with this description. Bastian is on very big wages; wages far higher than Fellani's and Herrera's put together so don't even get me started on that. Jose style is far different to LVG's and he has decided Bastian has no future in his plans unlike Herrera and Fellani who can be useful to him; what you've done in the past doesn't matter. But Bastian has decided to sit down doing nothing and collecting big wages as he likes but Jose is having none of that; That why we have this current fracas. Anyway we shall see how far the present dross in that your midfield goesYes our midfield is currently poor but Bastian is a very big part of that dross. He collects more than half in wages of all our other midfield options put together and that's why getting rid of him is getting rid of that dross. He can live on past glories at Bayern because he's your legend but United owe him nothing. We can't pay him him such big wages while he contributes next to nothing. I followed Bastian career over the years because i was a big fan of his. I remember when he was converted from being a winger to a midfielder and i remember clearly his best years. He was a top midfielder; one of the very best of his generation and he would even have a good chance getting into the Germany's best midfield of all times. But all these things matter very little to me currently. He was a good passer but wasn't exactly known for that; his best performances always involved his high energy levels as B2B and his technical abilities. So people expecting him to transform into this Pirlo or even Carrick level on dictating games are demanding too much from him. He's finished as a midfielder in the top level and it's the truth; he could contribute a little more in a very heavily based possession system but the whole thing is gonna be average at best. Jose's style is far different and even for that Carrick would perform better than Bastian is usually more available; it's no surprise Jose chose to kept him and extended his contract while telling Bastian to leave. Mourinho obviosly would try bringing in better players and there's no space for Bastian on the wage bill. If Bayern want him, they should come back for him because most clubs are refusing to take him but i won't accept any United criticism from Bayern folks because Jose is making the right decision for the club however unpleasing it might be to them. |
Roland17:Apologies. I won't do that again to you. Now address my post. |
PietroRico:Ancelloti pretty much ruled out a move for him. They aren't exactly stupid themselves. They know he's pretty much useless and that's the only reason they let him leave in the first place; He's a Bayern and German legend after all. I'm really enjoying the media attention this issue has gotten. Bayern has a lot of hypocrites and silly people as fans just like their leaders; Kalle one extremely stupid man was just saying nonsense recently about United. |
PietroRico:Exactly. I can't understand how naive and silly most United fans can be. They're placing a Bastian who is basically useless to us above the club for stupid reasons. That's why I'm always against getting too attached to a player or having favorites. Bastian came to do MAGA for United enjoying free big money and doing nothing but Jose has realized this and he is treating his fucк up; only silly United fans would cry about this. I'm very happy. |
A40:He's almost always not fit so what are you talking about? Those mediocre options are more valuable to us so he should fucк off. Nobody gives a sh1t about his World Cup medals in United because he has done nothing since he arrived. Bastian want to continue doing MAGA for United; collecting big wages while doing nothing. Mourinho should treat his fucк up jare. Wetin concern us say hin be Bayern or German legend? |
A40:When fit? Good thing you said that else this would've descended to a different discussion. Did Pep not say Bastian hasn't been fit for about 2 years or even more? Was Bastian fit at United? No; he spent more time injured and played less than one third of the total games we had in a season. Instead on working on his fitness issues, he was flying almost every time to Munich and spent more time there than even Manchester( a lot of United players were not even happy about it) and when he wasn't in Germany, he was touring the world with his girlfriend playing tennis and enjoying her pussу. Carrick at 34 is even fitter than him and Mourinho has chosen him over Bastian and rightfully so. Last season Carrick still had better performances for United than Bastian. Maybe if Bastian was fit, maybe maybe.... Nobody gives a sh1t about that. He has done or proven nothing at United; he's current a liability and pretty useless to us. He can fucк off and rightfully so. |
kokaneprodigy:Can you tell me the last time Zlatan had a major injury? He's basically almost fit every time of the the season unlike Bastian who is a 32 year old sick note. Zlatan is actually fitter and in better shape than a lot of younger players; see Jones and Badstuber for example. Zlatan is 33+ but he's coming off his best season ever. A lot of younger players would only dream to have such a season even in their peak years. So Zlatan is simply incomparable to Bastian and the scenarios are extremely different. United is NOT a retirement home; we can sign old players as long as they are performing or would bring something significant to the table. If Zlatan fails to do that, he'll be shown the door like Bastian and deservedly so. I don't even understand why I wasted my time explaining this to you; you're Kokaneprodigy after all. |
Roland17:What's vindictive? Do you know the meaning of that word at all? Why Bastian has not forced a move? Are you a clown or what? He was asked to leave a long time but failed to do so because he's experiencing difficulty doing so and banishment to the reserves is to make him find a club faster and get out of United ASAP; how many clubs would take a 32 year old sick note like him who is on very big wages? Mourinho liked and has always rated Bastian in the past and if he wants nothing to do with him currently, then Bastian has himself fully to blame. That's the truth. The transfer was one of LVG poor decisions which failed to bear fruit. LVG himself ended up criticizing Bastian before he left because he realized his folly. When you bring in players like him who contribute next to nothing in a season, you won't last long at your job. That's another reason LVG is out of job and Jose doesn't want to end up like that. Only gullible/naive United fans have issues with the way Jose has treated him. |
GloryIsaac:Proven to be a great player doesn't mean sh1t currently? Was he even a great player at United? Bastian has won basically everything to win in football but is a liability and pretty useless currently. Nobody at United gives a sh1t about your World Cup medals if you can't even stay fit to save your life. Bastian is on high wages and Jose told him he's not in his plans and should find a new club ASAP but it's likely Bastian thought he could just have his way as usual. Last season, he started just 13 league games and was injured for most part of the season. Instead of staying in Manchester and working on his fitness issues, he spent more than in time Munich and when he wasn't in Germany, he was busy touring everywhere and following his girlfriend all over the world to play tennis and enjoying her pussу when he should be playing football. Other United players were even unhappy with Bastian's behavior but couldn't do much since LVG favored him unnecessarily but at the end, even LVG ended up criticizing him. It's no surprise LVG was shown the door; when you make stupid decisions to bring in players who are confirmed sick notes like this and hardly bother to improve their fitness ; Pep even said Bastian hasn't been fit in about 2 years or more. But when the Euros came, Bastian miraculously became fit for Germany and put in performances far better than anything he had shown at United and you some of you are still so naive to believe anything you want to the detriment of the club. I've always liked Bastian; He's one of my favorite midfielders of the modern era but I really want him out of the club ASAP. Jose also liked him and used to rate him very highly and if Jose wants him out, then it's for a very good reason and I can't wait to see his back giving that he has disrespected the club and the only thing he has proven here is that he's a liability and is pretty useless to United and that's all that matters to me. |
I think it's more than just rumour. The way the Bayern goats had been on Mourinho's case in the media tells you a lot. I'm very happy about how Jose has handled the issue; he couldn't have done it better. Many players looking for retirement homes would think twice before coming to United now; some would have us become like the Milan clubs to please Bastian. Nonsense. I don't understand why most United fans are this naive to the point of being silly. Becoming attached to a player who has done nothing since his arrival at United is very stupid IMO. Your support for United should come first, not Bastian or even legends like Rooney or Giggs. That's the priority; and that's how you support a club. |
Diadem07 you can never change. ![]() |
I really enjoyed reading through this thread. Nairaland is more than it seems. |
I vote Vizkiz Cc NLjega |
Lana1:Guys this is becoming too much. ![]() |
Diademk07:Just listen to yourself again. This an incredibly stupid post from you. |
Talsima:What happened to your Elampiro moniker? |
lordfalcao:You mean 100m is more reasonable for Higuain who is gonna be 29 by December this year than for the Bale transfer? ![]() Make up your mind, take a stand and stop pontificating. I'm done with this. |
Dadehmola:Guy easy na ![]() |
lordfalcao:I thought you said 100mil is only for players who score 30+ per season and i just showed you Bale isn't even that type of player. Stop embarrassing yourself. |
lordfalcao:Of course. Bale has scored 22, 17 and 19 goals in his 3 seasons at Madrid. Total goals=58. Average goal per season=58/3=19.33 and that's less than 20. What else? ![]() |
weedtaker:Hatrick of assists and very consistent performance all through the match unlike some players who were poor one half and looked world beaters the other half. He was man of the match IMO. |
lekkie073:You're better than this. |
lekkie073:False. Martial played as CF in the southampton game http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/34236981 lekkie073:He was quite good and fair play to him |
Lana1:TBH his performance in the 2nd half was better than in the 1st but i thought Mata looked better generally in the 10. Leyqute:I honestly can't remember. We couldn't do that under LVG even in preseason so this can only be a good thing. |
lordfalcao:Bale cost Madrid about €100m and his goal average in all competitions 3 seasons is just below 20 and his league goals per season is even far below than that. Stop saying nonsense. |
joeace2020:It's so fluid. I thought i was watching the Ajax team of the 70s. |
Keky:You must feel really stupid now, right? |
Diademk07:Shut up. It has little to do with China. LVG could've planned more games in other places but he didn't want to. He has been reducing our preseason matches since 2015 and even cut it shorter this season This was what he did the previous season; http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/louis-van-gaal-give-manchester-6029986 He asked for a shortened preseason this year again. see this from the BBC http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36048255 MrTA:See above. |
joeace2020: SailorXY:Wait till Elampiro arrives here to defend him. ![]() Rooney is still playing like he did against Iceland. Herrera has been terrible too. |
MrTA:We have only 2 games left before the season starts and we really need more. It was what i was pointing out to diadem07 that LVG planned too few games for our preseason. LVG still manages to fucк us up even after he's gone. |
Am i'm the only one noticing how bad Rooney's touch has been? He's stinking up the place FFS ![]() |

didn't Ancelloti rule out his return recently?
