It's been a while here.

There was a strategic meeting on manpower audit yesterday between the HR and corporate communications division where the ongoing recruitment was extensively discussed and the fake job ads circulating in Bayelsa state recently. This post was to inform the general public about it. This doesn't nullify the advertised oil and gas job vacancy of 2020 by NCDMB. This is one of the numerous reasons the board decided to publish the recruitment without stating name of the agency in the newspaper advert to avoid unscrupulous persons from hijacking it.

Interview has been tentatively fixed for 2nd/3rd week of October. There is still ongoing deliberation for either Virtual or Physical Interview in Nigeria Content Tower, Yenogoa. Mails would drop anytime soon ahead.

About 500 applicants have been shortlisted for the interview, dominated by GT from the first batch of applicants to upload documents and EH from the second batch for about 150 positions.

Please do you have any idea of the percentage given to merit?
If they are given 30 percent that's 150 persons.
If all states are given a fair share, that'd be 4 persons per state.

Actually, I can't even remember what I applied for but I mistakenly chose EH instead of GT. Only God can help me like this.

This kind of mistake is a hazard that can cause a serious problem in the industry. How's it possible? Like mistakenly putting food inside your nose instead of mouth.

The test was fair. Speed test was a walkover
, English quite easy as was elementary. Maths was average. The cut off could be quite high

Was just wondering, what is this process called? I thought it to be documentation but is that not supposed to be the last stage of a recruitment after the interview?

Everyone who got the email has been proceeded to the next stage but some verifications need to be carried out . If they are verified, they would receive the interview email alongside the rest.

My confusion.
I've been sent such a mail to update my information during an ExxonMobil recruitment yet I wasn't called for the interview.

However, congrats once again to those that received the email because one leg is in.
As for the rest, until end of first week of March, do not give hope.

My vexation
How on earth can 75 percent be a cut off ? Even Private firms dont go so high even during a physical test not to talk of an online remote test where cheating is possible.

Lol. It makes sense using 75 percent cut off if there'd be no interview and cut cost. But if there'd be an interview, the cut off should be 50 at least.
Scored 83 first test , 62 second test. I'd just move on. I now feel like I should have cheated but Godforbid .

But i also remember that on the day of the last test when someone said he score 70% some one was asking, "how can you score 70% when the Questions were 60 in total?"... I was like WTH!!!!

NCDMB benchmarks their basic with NNPC......however their allowances are more than that of NNPC (I don’t quite know why, but fewer staff is my first guess). Also bear in mind that, just like in NNPC, engineers and lawyers do not earn the same thing......my point is pay is not same for everybody (all professions).

In summary, NCDMB is a dream job in Nigeria. I imagine only IOCs pay better.

The recruitment is getting interesting. A third test doesn't make any sense tho. The second test was weird enough.
I guess Interview is next.
P.S Do you mean NNPC pays less than NDCMB ?I'm not understanding

83 percent 1st stage. 62 percent second stage. I was able to only answer 4 questions in the Situational judgement test .
For those that would come across such exam for SJTs with so little a time, just read the options alone. That's what I did and was able to answer 4 in just 2 minutes.

Actually tests aren’t my problem, Nepotism is. After doing very well in Nnpc Interview yet I was erased.
I’d never stop loving my dear NNPC. So sad.

My village people were late. Just immediately after I submitted and saw the congratulations stuff to await contact if I’m successful, my laptop went off . Haha
