Good morning Sirs/Ma'ams

So I changed the engine to my 2005 Accord V6 over a month ago but it has been one electric fault to the other. From burnt ECU (2 actually) to revving stuck at 3000 rpm, mixing, cold start etc. Also sometimes when I step on the acceleration pedal I hear a crack sound from the engine area (not all the time tho). Yesterday I was inspecting the engine and I notice smoke coming out of the alternator even when ignition is turned off so I disconnected the battery.
This morning I was checking online for possible causes of all these issues and I came across the type of engine we bought, it was for evil spirit (2008 v6). The mechanic had the top changed with the old one though.
Could this be the cause of my problems?

I see it's equipped with a navi system, is the disc still intact?

That's what I use tho I can't see what the manufacturer wrote with Ambient temperature and then go ahead and get something a bit different

Please how good is Oando 5w30 full synthetic for a 2005 Honda Accord?

Mechanics call it raising sensor while is name is VTEC spool valve assembly. Its a common issue. It causes limb mode (engine speed limited to under 3000rpm). It is located behind the top cylinder to the left of the exhaust manifold.

The issue is not a straight forward one that i can give you a solution. There are 2 electrical connectors, one for oil switch (right) and the other to the solenoid (left). The one for the solenoid is the affected one. Try to make sure there is good connection or the wire is not cut as the first solution attempt. If it doesn't work, a mechanic needs to remove the assembly, inspect the spool filter for dirt and wash the spool with fuel. Reinstall and try again, if it doesnt work, replace. Make sure the spool gasket isn't dry, that place is notorious for leakage due to high pressure engine oil.

My 2005 Accord doesn't rev past 3000 rpm so I had it scanned and it threw up "P2649" ("A"rocker arm actuator control circuit high bank 1). My Mechanic said it's an electrician's work and I've met 2 different electricians who don't even know where to start from.
Please how do I go about it?

Please I need help.
I just replaced the engine to my 2005 accord v6 but the car won't start because the key sign kept flashing on the dashboard. An electrician was called and after much checks it was discovered that the ECU was fried. The bridging wires thought to be the culprits were properly insulated and a replacement ECU was brought in but immediately the battery was fixed the second ECU got fried in the same location as the first one.
Please see attached picture and give your professional advice.

rebuilding would have been a better option , but with the current level of available expertise, please toks is better.
What to look out for:
1.Check coolant passage ways and ensure you do not see any chalk- like coating. if you do, that engine has been used in Nigeria Before and
water was used as coolant.
2.Check the interface between Top cylinder& engine block and ensure that graphite(paper as they call it) gasket has not been used.
3. check all gaskets and ensure it has not been supported or replaced by Gasket maker(Black or white gum). Anywhere such was originally sued from factory, it should have a slight yellowish tint to it.
4. Check all bolts and be sure there is no spanner marks(evidence that is might have been slackened before)
5.Check engine number inscription and compare with the engine currently with your car to avoid any foul play.
6. Go with an experienced person.
7. The VIN number of the car that engine came out from is usually riveted to the engine body. copy it and run a comprehensive VIN check to have an idea of the Mileage.



Use 5W20 if the engine mileage is less than 150,000 miles( on the Toks engine)

1. Please what should I look out for in order not to buy a rebuilt engone
2. The recommended oil is 5w20, can I continue using the recommended oil not minding the fact that the engine must have recorded high mileage?
3. If Q2 is no, which viscosity of oil would you recommend?

On second thought I am thinking an engine manufactured in 2005 would definitely have done high mileage so I want to up for [/b]Total quartz 9000 5W40 full synthetic.[b].
Is it a good alternative?
Generally, how reliable is the quartz 9000?

According to reports, the man hung himself on a tree inside a bush in Rijau Local Government Area in the state, without the knowledge of his family or neigbours.

His corpse was later discovered in the bush after it was noticed he went missing and a search was conducted to locate him.

The reason for his action was not given but reports have it that the deceased was unhappy and depressed before allegedly taking his own life.

I just noticed from my owners manual that the manufacturer advised against using ATF as power steering oil. This is contrary to the practice of many people I know. Could this be the sole reason why Honda power steering pumps fail more compared to other makes. Please does anyone know of any power steering fluid recommended for Honda
