Bullet point your answers and give them examples of how you dealt with such issues at your workplace or environment. Be eloquent and polite. Remember to always call them by their first name. All the best! Please I sent you an email on enyinnaya09@yahoo.com. I'd like to get your whatsapp number via email correspondence so I can seek your advice on some issues concerning the program. nigerianonym: In other MDAs, anything goes. Especially when everything is discreet.
I'm the just concluded NPA recruitment, wonders happened. I'm not going to tear down any ethnic group(s), neither would I support what isn't right, whether it favours me or not. Nigeria is a very wonderful country, and we're all at fault, whether from the North, South, East or West. It's just turn by turn, and some people know how to do it better than some others.
In the military, speaking of the NDA, names are published on national dailies, so it would be almost impossible to jagger-jagger it. Well said bro, well said. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Gec8: 9:59pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
nigerianonym: Let me correct a misconception here, bros. In contemporary times, in the military, equal number of candidates are selected from all states. If you're talking of favouritism and godfatherism in the service, I won't argue with you. If any states are over represented, it is usually not by more than one person. If you attribute the number of "Hausa speaking" people to the fact that NE NW and NC central mostly understand the Hausa language, I'd agree with you. But saying SELECTION into the military is lopsided is far fetched. I'm speaking for the military alone o! Any other MDAs, I don't know. Yes, the term northern/Hausa in my context covers the three northern geo-political zones. Just the way there are infractions in recruitment which favours the north, there are infractions in enrolments into the army to favour them also. Just like you alluded to 'it is usually not by more than one person', but actually in some cases, it is more. I have a vantage experience. Again, selection into the army has been lopsided from time immemorial and that was the point I was trying to make. Sir Ahmadu Bello orchestrated the intakes of more northerners into the army than any other part of Nigeria, even before the break out of the two 1966 coups. Check, its a well known fact that several books carry. So, no be today this whole thing start. |

bappahman: You said key appointments, in any system of govt, key appointments goes to those that help in what ever way to form the govt... If not for federal character most of the Southerners getting admissions in northern Institutions wont be admitted. It is true that key appointments should go to those who helped you win an election, but when the President (for example, Buhari) assumes other parts like the South-West didn't play a role but still neglects them and gives strategic appointments to his Hausa brothers, then there is a problem. Secondly, we are talking recruitment and not university admissions. Statistics will tell you that there are more southerners in northern institutions than there are more northerners in southern institutions and i want to believe you know the reason why. I wont be the person to elaborate on this. I also like how you circumvented the hausa/army part as related to Federal Character. |

bappahman: you are looking at things in a myopic view.. Federal character benefits everyone.. Look beyond employment to political offices nd political Appointments.. If not for federal character, some regions wont be part of govt they didn't help elect Let's even talk about political offices and appointments and keep employment to the side. Going by the lope-sided and nepotism-laden government of Buhari as regards dishing out 'key' political appointments, then you have absolutely nothing to say about how Federal Character benefits everyone. Don't contradict yourself. Going back to employment. As long as its a Federal Government recruitment, the Federal Character system favours you northerners, whether you sabi book or not. Let me take you back in history, take the military for example...have you ever asked yourself why its Hausa people and northerners that are the most populous extraction in the army? Okay good. And yes, I wont mince words to say when it comes to cut-off marks for any form of recruitment, the scores are lowered to favour the north. This is a fact and I stand by it. Sorry, not sorry. |

What hatred do you speak of biko? I dont get. As far as Federal Character is concerned, and how the north tends to benefit more from it - then this is pure facts. |

God bless you there's a change in Government come next year even those that are yet to go for the training might be dropped again
Am speaking from experience. (immigration recruitment 2014) 1. I'm not your brov or bro 2. smartkester: Mr man it's in batches. Am talking about the first batch, they are on training presently. They are to do a 6weeks training in lagos after which they would be sent to south Africa for 3months intensive training .
So shut the Bleep up and get lost, you ill-informed First of all, I don't think anyone here gives a rat's ass as to whats happening to the first batch entrants. If you do, you're wasting your time as that ship has sailed. Most people here are concerned about the 'second batch or list' that's being purported. Secondly, nobody who got into DPR in this 2016 recruitment is under any form of training. No single person. So on the contrary you are the person who's replete with false info, or better still, maybe is the persons that collected APL from your kitchen that you are training in your parlour - in batches. |

THIS IS NIGERIA The guys who got in like three months ago are yet to go on training, but it's your 'three friends' that are already on training albeit getting their letters later than the July guys? It's like you're the person that's providing this training for them in your parlour. |

hopeful2018: Dear fellow DPR hopefuls., I was authoritatively informed that all APL's were ready for over 3 months now and those in charge are not ready to place calls for APL pickup. For this, I have started making contacts to some stakeholders seeking for the release of my APL. You can also do the same if know anyone. To this point, I am convinced that DPR management will not make any contact. All the best fellow hopefuls. Thank you for your info. Seeing that you are not alone in this precarious situation, and instead of pursuing just your APL, nothing would've been wrong with you seeking for the release of every APL thats left. Since you're fortunate to know these stakeholders. Altruism. |

NigerianAvenger: But the waiting should not go beyond this month, by December it would have been a year since the interview. We already know that there are people on the list at FCC that were never contacted to this day. Campaigns kick off this month and if by the end of this month there's no second batch we would have been patient enough by whatever standards and it will only be rational to ask questions. The status quo must not continue to be maintained at the detriment of the common man and we must learn not to continually sweep such issues under the carpet and in the end we can only hope that as in the case of the Chinese railway scholarship, those that made the list get justice. For me the biggest indicator of foul play is with regards to how those that made the first batch haven't said a word since they resumed and the management knowing well that If they no info is disclosed here we'll not be able to draw any inferences with regards the status of the recruitment and continue to wallow in hope which in the Nigerian context is mostly in vain for the masses. Guy, nobody owes (those that got in via the first intake) any of you here an explanation on anything. I believe its there prerogative to either speak or not to speak. So, don't use that as a gauge to assume "foul play". It's ENTIRELY upto them. |
