Anyone with some news on Aba Textiles?

http://www.businessdayonline.com/analysis/features/4784.html
Picture man,
Why not put your money somewhere with some fundamentals,
Well I dont know anything abt the coy but all I can say is textile and generally manufacturing coys are suffering in Nigeria, meaning they cant sustain any prices, Read Wanaj0's lips PAT may not really be different even after 3-4 years. NO PHCN yet, LPFO is trading like crude,
If you want to CICO then at least find a semi-fundamental coy that if NSE craze then u wont be visiting Aktopgun.
Happy investing.

Easi,
Good morining,
Please been trying to upload the data after installing aptistock. It gets to the end of the process but it just stops with a message
import EOD DATA finished staying there for almost 20 mins b4 i exit it.
Does it take so long to upload, I dont get any error messages too.
I notice the Aptistock data downloader does not even begin to upload "fill in green" all through the 30 or so mins,
Using version 1.13.

Before I answer what is your time frame?
I suggest Wapco and Japaul for the > 6 month target with at least 20% capital appreciation.
Wapco @< 65 its performance warranted the down slide in price but they are not going any where, your money is not going to disappear hopefully,
Unless all those housing projects in Lekki dont use cement or the demand for its products reduce which is not near

Japaul @ <15 Japaul is still in the monopoly, just like C and I only ones in the sector however that sector is a lucrative money spinner believe they'll reward investors well. Niger delta issues will subside,

@ hardmoney, this enquiry about some white men coming in seems a little out of place to me.
Why not tell them toslip into the country unnoticed and stay in Lagos to conduct their meetings as there are thousands of other whites there.
They coult slib in and out of Nier delta and do their business quietly.
Since they will hire security, no wahala go dey as additional cover dey.
Every country has its own issues so lets not see the naija delta issue as a major deterrent to business.
Search the web for Nigerian tourism and business websites and ask of security.
Others wey dey sneak into this country since are still alive , so no fears.
Hmmm!! lipsrsealed

More info from bigboylarry's crystal ball. It says Union homes will be bullish this week. (Nearly broke the thing this afternoon) how the hell did it not tell me that RT briscoe price will stagnate today.
I think NSE need more than a crystal ball, something like a ladder to reach a certain elevation that has a shinny mirror that draws energy form the sun then as you rotate the ball it shines intensly on some stocks then bingo the names start to flow

I personally cana tell u that if the british or the americans had such a thread for investors(they probably do but u can be sure its probably a premium to join) they would have it on bloomberg or CNN or something like that. what i mean is it would be celebrated if not for the hits on the thread, then for the wealth of information shared here and the selfless spirit with which it is shared.

i fear the battle may already be too far gone on this one. i hope i am wrong.
No worries man I stumbled upon another thread and there was a lot of tongue lashing and raking man run comot sha,
The furore will clear and since we dont mind the tips and info here we'll continue,

I find myself hitting the thread on stressful days and who knows catch rib cracking jokes, by loma or wonderful pictoral by pumice et. al, and Fo2 comes in coded language, Where is no_shaking that guy should be writing songs for some nigerian musicians, that is if you are not one,
Wishing you all a happy investing week.
Make tuesday come very fast and let Nigeria move forward  join the NSE jet now because as soon as this political stuff, abracadabra annulments etc, finishes we have to be protected from FDI, and all the foreign guys looking for juicy markets,
Well its a market , the more the merrier abi??

Hello everyone
What do you think would happen to insurance stocks in about a year? Are they worth investing in for the long term.
Yes but I will suggest taht you go for the fundamentally sound ones,
Why? Simply because the sector is shrouded in a lot of restructuring which is not clear, ASK Wanaj0,
I would suggest UNIC, WAPIC, Crusader,
Happy investing,

Institutions may be selling and a downward trend may be imminent but the FY is April and the 9 months is any day now. A CICO opportunity if I ever saw one. I don't believe the "big boys" are always right but they often have insider information and enough power to force self-fulfilling prophecies. That they are selling doesn't make the stock any less appealing to me. Are they not ignoring UBA right now?

That said, I have a conservative forward PE of 23 for Diamond; if it drops tomorrow, I'm buying more.
Based on your observations Easi,
Why are they doing this to UBA, ? Any takes even with the good news flying around about UBA aquiring and partnerships? well I dey for long sha

@ Yodi,
Building materials sector,
I have been eyeing this sector and hope big time for a major turn around projecting into their future prospects.
They indicate a Jan-may activity period then a 4-5 month break before another upswing in the last 2-3 months of the year From Wanaj0 data.  However as power issues are not fully resolved and with the current talks of taking the emergency situation of power there might be a slower growth rate than expected.
That said I favour BCC over Ashaka, WAPCo i don't know bought is sha long ago and am sleeping well,
Needless to say institutional monies are in thes coys.
If u have liver CCNN can surprise (though they are out of favour now, it seems.
My suggestions!!! and i hope this helps

[li]The N50 resistance seems real o. Even Zenith is butting heads with it. UBA failed to breach it. But the Elephant just broke through it!  grin If FBN can sustain a run above 50, the next set of results by UBA/Zenith/Union/InterCont may be enough to wipe out the resistance. Get your UBA now/soon. See what AP did to the downstream sector, esp Oando[/li]

[/quote]Beginning to see lots of TA used by marketers in the NSE, The TA learning is just beginning for me.  Learnt from Investopia that those resistances are around round figures like 5, 10, 15, 20, so folks look out 10 held WAPIC for a while even vitafoam.  But this barriers will be broken cos the market for now is juicy, took vitafoam about 2 weeks.
Happy investing folks,

what is good is good and what is not good is very bad. i am an investor, chikena. long term, short term, all that is splitting hairs. i stongly believe in the learning thats involved in the investing process and like a seed, any investment needs time to grow and take root. pull it out too early and it dies.
Ride on man, long term pays in the end ask warren buffet

@ Fof2,
Just thinking a question for u, If u were in a developed market where its 20% in like 6 months, would u be long or shorttermer? Where short term means a 3 months duration?

Just think the NSE needs us to take advantage of now,  MANY THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS THEY REALLY HELPED ME IN PARTICULAR made over 50% ROI on crusader,

@All
Please invest in some trusted names, brands and coys so if anything happens the price would not be terrible,
If u go for high risk hmm you can make 500% ROI as well as loose it with no one to buy,

here's a list i compiled last night of stock i am watching next week. its been a personal internal tug of war on whether to post it here or not because i do not want to be accused of losing money for fellas. well here goes nothing. hope it helps.

1. fidelity - likely bull run next week
2. fbn - to continue its recent price gains
3.flourmills - likely to continue rising
4. ikeja hotels - possible turbulence to continue
5.Intercontinental - uptrend imminent
6. japauloil - looks like a good week or two up ahead
7. Nig-german - good week ahead
8. okitipupa - downturn likely

this is my take on them based on some TA but please remember, the final decision is urs!
Thanks man
Have a nice week,

@Gees,you aren't making much sense. In one breath you seem to agree with @Pumping that UBA ain't likely good for CICO and yet with another, you say here that one can gain by UBA CICO  huh  huh . . . .
I put question marks when i was responding, meaning am not sure oh, UBA does have the potential to to return 15% in 2 weeks qualifying it for a CICO even if it is 10%
Thanks for the Oceanic correction brain gay at 1am,
