Have faith. I'm sure you did your best, and have prayed to your Lord.

See, forget about the general mentality of "it is by who you know". No, it is always by the grace of God.

Someone I'm close with got admission to school with zero connection, got NYSC PPA in one of the top three construction firms with zero connection, got a job thereafter in a multinational with zero connection (talking six figures here). It's grace.

No matter what you hear out there, people get into NNPC with zero connection. I would have given names but for the sake of privacy. You can as well check 2010 and 2012 recruitment thread here on NL. See success stories.

So Julia, calm down and sip zobo. cheesy

So much tension in here.

I just read the 2012 abi 2014 thread and it dragged from about 80 pages to 195 pages...while waiting for nnpc to call for interview.

..the people discussing exam questions, the people shooting them down, the ones dropping emails for questions, the ones with uncle at nnpc giving information, the ones fasting and praying..lol...nairaland is just wonderful, and history is repeating itself here.

I hope this particular exercise will take a different trajectory..but what do I know?

Back to reading comments..lol

I got an sms directing me to check my e-mail for the details of the CBT centre.

The invitation letter content showed my exam number, centre number, seat number, centre address, exam date and time (June 1st and 8:00am respectively).

Other accompanying instructions was to print out the invitation letter which contains a barcode and the picture used in registering, bringing along the original form of identification which should be provided as well before entry into the exam centre and other instructions to adhere to.

NOTE: Pencil is optional and no gadgets are allowed.

So most likely

1. Change of venue is not allowed

2. Use of calculator is not allowed.

I hope there will be onscreen calculator

River A and River B have a combined length of 650 miles and River B is 250 miles shorter than River A. How many miles long is River B?

A + B = 650

B = A - 250

Or B +250 = A

Therefore

B + 250 + B = 650

Or 2B = 400

Time travelled on foot = x
Therefore, time travelled on bike = 9-x
Since total time = 9

Distance = speed x time
Distance on foot = 5x
Distance on bike = 8(9-x)

5x + 8(9-x) = 51
5x - 8x +72 = 51
3x = 21
X =7

Distance travelled on foot = 5x = 5*7 =35km
