She didn't accord him the same respect. And she doesn't even know what democracy entails. She has no business with social media. Someone young and fresh is supposed to handle that her position. She needs to retire. |

emerged01: A friend of mine worked in that tower in Osborne. He said that very day,the way efcc entered the compound they thought they were armed robbers. He said they asked 2 of them to follow them to the apartment where the money was. On getting there, they broke the door and went straight to the cabinet, they broke it and saw the huge money. He said, his colleague fainted at the sight of the money. He was saying "he bit the hell of out him, telling him, don't die yet wake up and see money before you die". I couldn't stop laughing when he was telling me. He said for two days he was having serious headache because of that money. Hahahaha! So funny. In the guy's mind, he'll be like "I I've been living with this kain money since, I no know!" |

nkemjacob2: I am having an interview on Monday same job role with my previous job but the different is the salary is far different. i no in every interview they must ask why did you leave your previous job. What professional way can i answer that question. You can NEVER say you left your former place of work because of money. . . Your new employer will just assume that one day you will leave if you get another job that may pay better and they won't employ you. You can say you left because you wanted something more challenging or something like that. Make every negative thing sound positive. Good luck. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Post Abuja Jobs Here by Gemc3(f): 2:41pm On Jul 21, 2017 |
Firebomb: I contacted their HR Office and the lady on the other end of the line said they received thousands of applications and are trying to ensure they consider the best candidates. The first stage of the interview will be the language test to see your proficiency, then shortlist further before you are called for a one-on-one interview.
I applied for the Cultural Affairs Assistant position back in March; was invited for the language test (written) after a month, subsequently called for the oral. However, I didn't get the position, but the lady it was offered (on conditions) to hasn't even resumed because after the language test and interview, there are medical and security checks to pass. Everything takes about 6 months to complete.
Just be patient and keep trying other vacancies, because US Embassy vacancies are HIGHLY competitive. Thanks a lot |

Culture › Re: Is Traditional Marriage Complete Marriage? by Gemc3(f): 1:32pm On Jul 18, 2017 |
Sunnybobo3: The emboldened above is wrong. After your traditional marriage, you should go to the Customary court within the area where you wedded to register the marriage within 60 days of the marriage being conducted. After registering it, you'd be issued with a "certificate of registration of marriage". This certificate is your marriage certificate and is backed by our laws.
I did only traditional marriage and that's what I used to get my wife a UK dependant visa. Wow. I didn't know that. I thought after trad, there is no way to get certificate unless you do court wedding. |
Family › Re: My Marriage - A Sinking Ship. by Gemc3(f): 11:36pm On Jul 17, 2017 |
Prognose: I read the whole thing. You're not alone bro. The problems you're having is the same kind of problems married people have at this stage of their marriage. This is the setting limits stage. This is where you both draw the line on things you can tolerate and things you won't allow no matter what. This is the stage where you show the kind of man you are and your wife will likewise adapt as a woman. Your problem is nothing out of the ordinary that others in these phase of marriage have experienced.
You didn't see all these flaws in her initially because you were deeply in love with her then. You may have even noticed some of these things but pushed them aside. But now the euphoria of love have gone and both of you are seeing yourselves live and direct. It's not a new thing bros, trust me.
So she nags. Almost all women nag, some nag worse than others. It is kind of your job to be patient with her as the man. Pls try and control your temper, this is what will make you matured and will separate u from being a boy. When she shouts and talks ceaselessly find a way to leave the environment or ignore her, depending on the type u can do. Over time she will learn to control herself. Her controlling herself and reducing her nagging and your not getting enraged to be slapping her shows that you are both coming of age in the marriage and are understanding each other and becoming mature.
Do you want her to go back to her job? Remember she is pregnant (for the first time) and in a delicate and scared state. She is quite vulnerable right now with the changes going on in her body. Your job at this time is to be as supportive as you can. I don't mean you should become her slave but try and give her more rope when she misbehaves. It gets worse at three to six months of age and then she should start returning back to normal.
Set a boundary for her father. The fact that he has cut the phone on you once is enough to piss you off. He's not married to her, you are. If he calls again tell him politely that this is your family and you have your own plans for your wife. If you don't have the mind to do this then u can just ignore him instead. This is your wife now, he should stop butting in.
Find a job for her to do, no matter how little. Also don't give up on yourself. Every married couple went through this stage, it is those that come out of it that last. If you break up now, what's to say in your next marriage u won't break up again at the first sign of difficulty. Your a postgraduate man, you should be more mature and patient bro.
Find an older married couple you can talk to for advice. Not online o. A respectable married couple or couples preferably from the generation before ours let them tell you what they've been through themselves. Marriage is hard work and the more work you put into it the sweeter it becomes.
Cheers bro. You do sound like a counselor. And you are right about everything. A million and one likes for this lovely comment. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Post Abuja Jobs Here by Gemc3(f): 10:48pm On Jul 13, 2017 |
jazzyjazz: Some companies really need to be specific about their job adverts/job responsibilities! After going through the adverts here, I saw one that needed a customer care officer. They said to apply in person which I did and I was interviewed after they went through my cv. I was beyond shocked when they started interviewing me for a marketing position! So I asked about the customer care role and they said "yeah but it's a marketing job" (I don't even want to get into everything I was told)
Even though I was offered the job and all, I politely declined It's actually deceitful. So sad |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Post Abuja Jobs Here by Gemc3(f): 10:47pm On Jul 13, 2017 |
jazzyjazz: I was so vexed. I left my baby at home and was hoping this was it. Funny the way she spoke to me was like she has given me the job (forgive any typos please. My baby won't let me type in peace lol)
Let me even explain small what she said the job was about When you get the job, you are a staff. Then you are expected to bring like 3 people per month. You get a commission of 5k per person, you get am official phone, you're entitled to the official car and driver, they will recharge the official line for you, then you're placed on a salary. Then if you don't bring anyone in a month, you become an independent marketer. They now put you on probation. But as an independent marketer, you will not have a salary! You will only have your Commission which is like 15k. Now you won't have an official phone, no recharge cards, no driver or car!
Now if you now being like 10 people, while you're an independent marketer (that's after they Have tOld you that you aren't a staff), you will now go back to being a staff on salary (are you confused now?, I was too)
Lastly, if you bring 30 people, you become a supervisor!
The one that made me zone out completely was when she said they sometimes write proposals to churches, so they can speak to the congregation about the business! So that automatically means that you will be working Monday to Sunday!
Ah, me I politely declined the job! I jejely carry myself comot, buy 100 Naira groundnut, with coke, Simon inside keke enjoy myself I can't come and die because of job hunting mbok Hahaha! I can imagine how you must have felt. I'm laughing now but I'm sure if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't laugh. Lol |
