Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army DSSC and SSC 2014 Aspirants by Generaloluseye: 10:05pm On Aug 12, 2014
@ ehisi. Let me begin by saying that the politics of recruitment does not take the place of merit inthe US army or other advanced militaries. In the west point academy, which is our equivalent of NDA. U are nominated by the president or senator or u re the child of a veteran. If don't ve this opportunity, u ll ve to be a graduate to join the military. And u can get to the highest position in the military unlike in the nigerian military where they segregate btw short service and NDA. General Collins Powell is an example of someone who got in as a graduate. The rule should be made clear. Why should u sell form to pple when u know that they ve no chance of being recruited. Why not tell us hat pple who ve no sponsor should not bother to apply? What they did is fraud of the highest order to sell form to someone and the person was not called for interview. If they know the pple they need is 1200 and the slots has been distributed, why call for pple to apply?.......

It is just funny that some pple will come here and say that they don't know anybody and there name came out especially in ssc. I ve been to the airforce interview and i know what happened there. Imagine 15k pple applied for SSC and less than 1k were shortlisted without exam. Tell me the criteria that was used. Re u saying the military sec. Knows the height of all of us or the weight or our aptitude without seeing us. I ve friends who entered and they said it was God. This was a guy who was not initially shortlisted for navy exams and he did not do any medical and running. All of a sudden his name appeared as one of the only two shortlisted in ekiti state. He said it was God. He later confessed that it was the former CNS that did the job. I ve lots of stories concerning that. So u guys stop playing our intelligence. Do u want to tell ys u did not submit ur name to any one even if it is a low ranked officer who may ve connections to the powers that be. It is not a crime to be connected..........

Our own sword crossing ll eventually come. Do not be envious of another persons success. It is someone's day today another person tomorrow. Like my people use to say ''no one reigns forever except God'' it was once Maurice Greene now it is usain bolt, it was once theiry Henry now it is messi, it once once Gen Lucas yusuf now it is Kenneth minimah.........who knows who it ll be 2mao.

Some pple said the list ll be out last week Friday but alas! They ve ate their words. Except u re close to the coas, military secretary and some oga at the top, not just any oga at the top sha, u cannot know when it ll come out. A seemingly funny thing can even delay it like waiting for a particular batch of nysc to pass out before releasing the list like it happened last year. Nysc passed out October 10, the list was released October 11. The most imp. Thing is to keep praying and keep calling the oga at the top to remind them.

My heart bleeds by the day anytime i hear what our present youths say. An example is the case of the nigerian army dssc/ssc which lots of us ve applied for. We are only thinking of a job that can pay us and not what we can contribute to the system. Are we going to be the extension of the corruption that is endemic in the system or we are going to say it is time for a change? Major kaduna nzeogwu, ifeajuna et al were around 30 yrs old when they decided that it was time for a change. The counter coup which ws led by muritala was done by guys less than 30. This pple felt the need for a change and decided to take action but herein our generation, what we think about is diff. To be contd as we wait for the list

gambudu: when u finally pay 400k and u get enlisted, lets see how much u will pay BH when dey catch u inside sambisa one-on-one.By then u will use your life to pay.
This Message is for those that bought skool certificates with money thinking they can do thesame in NA recruitment .BH will just kill you for free. After they cut your hand for #2,500 then they will kill u for #400,000
u can tell them again. I am just sad about the pple who ve passion for this job and are denied just because of man no man issue that is not available and also this money stuff that is creeping up again. When they want to apply, they ll start asking for the diff btw dssc and ssc. They ll be asking whether ssc can be deployed to non combat corps......... One ll know from there that they re not meant to be in the military. Anyway if i get into the military, there ll be lots of changes that i ll personally effect. I hope u guys are with me

4 million naira a month is good money oh. How many salary earners earns that in Nigeria? However it may not be the general that ll collect the money, it may be his boys that ll do everything ab initio. Someone i know paid over 500k to enter the police cadet as a graduate but was unable to enter despite the fact that he was a serving personnel.......

most of the generals in the Niger delta area are eating oil money seriously not only naval officers. Even lt, cpt and others enjoy like an ant in a heap of sugar. It depends on where u re posted sha

I can't imagine some pple saying they did not read the instructions when it was boldly written on the website that it is dssc/ssc and when u even open the page they ll tell u to make sure u apply for the right one. Instead of u to say u re screw of combat, u re now saying u e just aware that u did not apply for the right one....

Glamourplus: If you had experienced that of last year, '' you go fear fear''
when i told people last year that training ll most likely commence January, insults was need hurled at me. This year we re at it again. And i want to say that it ll most likely happen happen again this year. But some forms of politics may change that. In the case of last year, they released the list a day after the passing out parade of nysc batch c corp members. Which means some powerful candidates were serving and that was the primary cause of the delay. With the look of things now, i can also say with little iota of doubt which may be caused by some powerful politics again that we should not expect the list soon. It ll most likely come out by September or beyond. But only God has the final say.

The challenge is that some of U have no idea of D workplace ethic of a military or regimental environment.
Do you think Director of Defence public relations will do/say anything to D public without running it by his superiors at DHQ?

How do U know that he wasn't ordered to say what he said about D crash?

So if U R Major general Kolade (a 2 star general) & Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (who is in charge of Defence HQ as chief of defence staff & is a four star general & can have U sent to your village immediately on retirement) asks U to say "XYZ"; U will tell him "it is senseless"?

E be like say una never see/hear where one or two star general dey double or them dey wheel them down if them dey carry shoulder where senior men dey vex?

D immediate past GOC Division 7(Aka D butcher) that escaped a mutiny when soldiers fired on him; gave an action plan that would involve his soldiers going through a path that was strongly advised against by D RSM because of D terrain (which was straight up hostile territory) and that area was not on their itinerary for operation. But U see in D military, an order is an order (funny enough he wasn't familiar with D terrain as D soldiers were), and they obey his orders & eventually where almost all wiped out. When he heard of it, he came to see things for himself & that when D soldiers opened fire on him.

In any case, D crash site may not necessarily be where D plane or helicopter starts losing altitude for any reason. It could be it was a freak accident, or shot down but note it is very much allowed for training manuovers or exercises to be conducted in a hostile region (both locally & internationally)

D morale of this story........D military is ruled by orders & interactions with D public R done with careful consultation with superiors else if it turns out bad later; U don buy job be that especially for sensitive issues like BH.[/quote]......hmmmmmmmmmm. Obey the last order thing even when lives ll or may be wasted. It made me to remember the'' ma lai'' massacre of Vietnam

ehissi: It is not impossible that training was going on when that airforce aircraft crashed, freak accidents have been known to happen from time to time (even for new airplanes maiden flight) not to talk of old planes.

ajisebioyo1: they can hide things with reasons known to them. Military shld not disclose everything with what is currently going on in the country mind u. Every info they give to people, they give to the enimies
military planes were shot over down over Ukraine and it was reported, series of allied heli and plane crashes were reported during the US campaign in Afghanistan and Iraq. If u want to keep a secret, keep a secret and not to fool pples intelligence. When Gen. Azazi was killed in a heli crash, they said it was a technical error when the plane and bodies were burnt beyond recognition and the heli was new. ....... Now an army General is saying ''they'' were on a training mission. Which training mission? Why not tell us the true situation of things so that the govt can do something if need be. But i know they are trying to deceive pple who re ignorant..........

ajisebioyo1: u dnt criticise anyhow, i believe d spokesman has his reason for making such statement. You re part of people that always abuse the president and d military for not disclosing the strategy they want to use for the insurgents. In this kindbof situation they must know the kind of info they will be giving to the public..... So on
why should he not disclose the source of the crash? Must he now play on the intelligence of pple by saying the heli was on a training mission. Who is being trained when there re 3 pple inside;two pilots and a technician. Is a warzone a training venue? If he had used the word reconnaissance, it would ve ehn better. The truth is that he/they are hiding something

don't mind the military spokesman. That was how he said an heli crashed while on training. Imagine that stupid statement. How can a training be going on in that kind of place. I don't know what those guys are even learning in the prestigious sandhurst military academy. The most stupid statement by a military officer.
