Daniel talked about hellfire that burns forever. But if you don't believe it, then don't let it bother you. But know this, no one spoke about hellfire the way Jesus did. But,like i said, don't let it bother you. live as you like

really? This is so interesting to hear that Daniel also talk about hellfire. Hope you wouldn't mind putting some of quotations here?

What does he mean by it shall be more tolerable than sodom and gomorah? It seems you didn't get that massage? Ok what about the people of noahs generation?

My dear listen to me very well, if what you thinks about God is really how he is, i will seize to be worshiping God. But far be it that is not his person. Man only misunderstood him.

Yes there is hell. But not what you guys thinks of it.

It is suffice for us to really look at the meaning of hell in a Hebrew language. This is a story for another day.

Actually there is nothing wrong in giving testimonies, i does that too.

But we were only looking at this types of testimonies mentioned above, if is normal to do it.

My dear i really have a different heart from other people, and these one of the reason i finds it had that God could burn human in eternal fire just because they sin against him.

I still believe that man misunderstood God.

The people who died in noahs water, died only once. Those who were consumed by fire in sodom and gomorah city also died only once, you know then the gospel of hellfire has not been preach.

When when Jesus came who came purposely to deliver us now came the gospel of hellfire was introduced. So now anybody who died in sin now, since he had heard the gospel will end up in hellfire and remain there forever.

Does that make any sense to you?

So it means that those who died in Adam generations were just lucky? Is that want you think?

If I'm God i can not burn my enemy in fire for 24 hr watching him screening in agony. Infact i can't do it for 2 hrs.

So that's why am wandering if it is palatable to survived an accident that claimed everyone, and the next thing is to go to the church and testify his goodNess upon my life. Hmmm i was just thinking the pain which other family will be going through.

Like i said before i really have a different heart. And that's the way God created me.

Listen my dear, if i make heaven and see people in hellfire believe me i will not be happy.

You can still fulfill your pledge. Give a portion of your money to someone, anyone who really needs it as much as you do.
Giving to God is not and should never be equivalent to giving to church or giving to pastor.

The Fraud pastorprenuers twist and conflate the idea of giving to God and giving to them as one and the same.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

Hmmm you mean when you hands it over to your pastor you have not giving it to God?

Op am a living testimony.

When things was very tight for me, i made a pledge to God that if he give a Job i will give him my first salary. Hmm

finally i got the Job, do you know that they delayed the money till 15th of the other month, which makes it 45 days. It was not really easy and the Devil come with temptation because thing was really had, even the salary was poor. I was like may be it is not God who gave me that Job lol.. And if he gives me the main one i will redeem my vow. But all this is a devils work.

One Wednesday then it was not this alert stuff. Then they pay with envelop, my people came to my work place and gave me my envelop. And that very day we use to have evening service, so i said to myself if i should wait till Sunday, something else will surely happen to it.

So i went straith to church and hand it over to pastor before he comes down from the pulpit.
I knelt down and start weeping.
And he prayed for me.

But today my life does not remained same again. Weather i cried or not but atleast i fulfilled my vow.

It is not easy actually, but may God give you the courage to do it.

Op what you said is nothing but the truth.

Imaging a situation were by the G. O. Is not in town, the church will be very scanty that day.
This shows that they went there to worship their G.O and not God anymore.

I was in a church one day and i was surprise to see few members, do u believe that i later discovered that the G.O is not in town and i say no wonder.

My brother these is a very bad habit.

I have challenged one lady before who was complaining that the choir did not performed well, i frankly told her that they were not singing to man but to God, so why the complaining all about?

You see so many thing has gone wrong these days in our church services. May God help us.

Well we are all learning and nobody is perfect.

I brought it up to share other people opinion.

But some of the testimonies we hear this day does not really worth it and most of them are really uncallfor. Happy Sunday.

Hmm i quest you didn't understand the question?

If a member or one of your children if you have any is among those that died will you still go ahead and give ur testimony? That's my question. Nobody says there is anything wrong in giving testimony but should incase your son or daughter is involved do do you still go ahead and do that? Simple.

Some other person may think otherwise. Thank you.

That's one among many of the testimonies I used to find extremely weird and ridiculous.

Even when I was a believer, it weird me out when people give testimonies on even trivial stuff like success in exams or even getting a job they are not qualify for. I normally thought to myself that if god is actually responsible for my consistent success in every examination that I sit for, than maybe he should spare his miracles on me on that regard and allow me to fail the exams and channel the miracles to million of children dying from malaria and hunger.

When you try to question stuff like that, focks will result to saying that god works in mysterious way. How sad.

You see thats why i mentioned Jesus there. If he was in a boat and the boat capsized and he happen to be the only one that comes out, will he also testify and celebrate it?

It seems like we only care for ourselves only. Let share our understanding here. Thank you.

I have been imagining this for some times now.

I knows that testimonies are good, and i have also given my testimonies on several occasions.

But what in a situation whereby you re traveling or going else where and you borded a 14 seaters bus and may God forbid the bus have accident and only you survived. Will you go to church and testify and give thanksgiving?

I have raised this question somewhere before...

Do you think it is proper to do so?

Someone is wondering now, what kind of question is this? And why wouldn't i testify of his goodness upon my life? Hmmm

to this person, ok what if your wife or your only son is involved in that accident, would you still go ahead and testify?

Don't you think that some of these testimonies we hear these days are not really necessary?

Don't you think that such testimony are really selfish and selfcenterdness?

Do you think if Jesus is in a boat and and by accident he lost all his disciples, do you think he will testify for his safety?

We were all leaning anyway. And i stand to be corrected.
Do you think these kinds of testimonies really worth it.

Does any body here has any contrary opinion to these?

Hmmmm, i collected my salary last since on June, and uptil now i have not received a dime from my work place. I nearly developed highpertension just for checking my phone whenever i see a masage hoping it is my salary alert.

I have been awaiting this thread for like ever.... This thing is very popular in the common man RCCG churches across Nigeria and I wonder why they should be paid for playing guitar, piano, talking drum and sorts of.

To me it is senseless paying them... It is not by force to play instruments and even I can blame the church themselves... If they act like the likes of MFM, Apostolic Faith, Deeper Life Ministries and co that use their money to develop the young ones on how to be instrumentalists. Even if they will run away, believe you have done it for God developing someone's life and hand them over to God. Jesus continued doing the miracles even though only one of the ten came to say "Thanks Lord".

Instead of paying them, they should hold three months salary, buy three of that type of instruments and send three promising guys/ladies in the church for training and they will surely get the best out of it.

Many pastors will have issues when they get to heaven and the instrumentalists are not left behind because God will simply say you have taken your part when you were working in the church so nothing to weigh your work with... What a Shame!

How I wish the pastors are reading this

Can you tell me the difference between a pastor and a church musician or instrumentalist?

2. Do they pay pastors? If your answer is yes pls tell me why?

3. Does churches have something like a full time pastors and those working part time? And if yes why?

4. Do we also have some churches that have full time choresters/musitians or instrumentaists and those working as part time if yes, pls explain why?

i remembered this topic appearing on the front page sometimes this year. I used to be a bit naive in thinking instrumentalists should not be paid since they are working for God. I now know better. The truth is THEY SHOULD BE PAID. We have two types of instrumentalists, proffesional and non proffesional. I am an instrumentalist in my church but i am not a proffesional so i don't expect to be paid. But if someone is a proffesional instrumentalist, that's where they are getting their daily bread so they should be paid. Moreso, we need to ask ourselves a question, is the pastor not getting paid? He is for doing God's work, so if the pastor is getting paid for working for God, why then should other church workers do it for free?

The choresters/musicians are all ministers not the pastors alone.

He should look for any menial job, which am also doing presently.

My brother it is not really easy.

Imagine, i have not been paid since July till date, when i waited till 15th of august, i went to my office to find out the problem. And i was told that where i worked, before i was transferred to where i worked currently as a guard.
An incident happen there, and the owner of the case said he nolonger interested in the case, this occured in January, but however we were all transferred to a different locations, where i work recently.

But was surprise when i visited my head office in Lagos because of my salary, i was told that the owner of the case called them and indicted them. That all of us that work there were to forfeit one one month salary.

Can you imagine a man with a family, we are five in my house. Believe me up till now i have not been paid, if not my wife who is working very hard, what would i have done?
There are time i will not eat for the whole day, but before i sleep i will manage to drink garri to hold my stomach.

My brother it is not everybody that can bear this type of situation.

A young man came into my work place some hours ago trying to see a staff for a financial assistant, but i told him that the man is not around after he breathed down, he decided to relate with me.

Do you know what he said? He said sir can i relate with you? I frankly told him no, since i know where he was going, i did not allow him to relate with me, and believe you me i only had a transport fare to go back home, so thats why i did not give him the opportunity to go further.
My brother things are critically hard.

May God continue to help his children this change period.

No one knows why he killed himself as he didn't leave any suicide note. Even though he killed himself because of hardship, he chose the wrong way out. The youth of today shouldn't feel like suicide is the ultimate exit from hardship. Nigeria isn't the first country to go through a recession, after all during the global recession of 2009, the Nigerian economy wasn't affected while most countries slumped. The media shouldn't give this cowardice act more spotlight as it would only encourage more copycat acts from our youths. Nigeria will stand on it's feet soon again, this is just a temporary phase.
I'm a strong beliver of the saying 'if there's life, there's hope.'

I currently live at aboru, i must confirm this story.
This is getting too much.

Really? Thank God the gen wasn't on. Hmm i think to be on safer side let use our gen before 12 midnight. Beside it is not good having ur gen running while you re sleeping especially at night, i mean those i pass my neighbour. Unless it is a big one that uses diesel.
