Happy new year, Nilla. I don't suppose we have had the good fortune of meeting at this spot in this new year, or have we? |
This is new, Ika. Have I been away for so long that I've forgotten how beautiful you look when you blush, or have I simply never seen you blushing? |
Missed you, that's what. I'm fine, thank you. Allow me to just look at you and not say much. I'm that glad to see you. |
*successfully negotiating the rather delicate parking space* Come here, Ika. How are you? |
*looking for a place to park* |
davidylan:Mankind = Adam. Why do you think you sinned when Adam sinned, and you became righteous when Jesus atoned for the sin? This question is leading me to my very next question. . .Answer my question first! ![]() To your question: No, he wasn't, if you count the sheep and goats and dinosaurs, etc that were created before him. |
ikamefa:No spamming. Is this the place where I tell you how much I've missed you? |
davidylan:From Eden. . . ![]() 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. Gen 5:2 I'm listening if you have a better answer. My question: What office(s) did Samuel occupy in Israel? |
Ika!!!!!!!!!! |
Donzman:Hehe. . . good joke! |
dayquan:Hey, who you callin' a bum? ![]() Welcome. ![]() |
I just gave you the answer to my question, Havila. I was very well aware of the portion you quoted when I asked my question. There is no record of John's response to his disciples' report of Jesus' miracles in response to his enquiry from the prison. The portion I quoted is the place where it is stated unequivocally how John knew that Jesus was the Christ. Can you show me any other place that is a direct answer to my question? My next question: What was the name of Jacob (Israel's) daughter, and what was the name of the man who raped her? |
Gamine:That's a shame. You should have used the manual. You can also rerun the experiment if you like. Or you can try another experiment! By the way, I don't think your residue is HCl if it went up in smoke. More likely to be carbon. |
Donzman, I sense some chemistry here. Is it also your favourite subject? |
Havila:Hmmm. . . not so, Havila. This is how John knew who Jesus was: 29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' 31I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel." 32Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' 34I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God." John 1:29-34. |

TayoD:Hmmm. . . my guess is that it was an entire convoy. These were no mean men, and they demanded and were granted audience by Herod. I wouldn't expect men of such calibre to travel for nearly 2years in a tiny group of, say, three. My question: How did John the baptist know that Jesus was the Christ, the Messiah? |
swing4real: fellow:An epidemic of amnesic proportions. I had my shots. Great. |
Yep. Tpbm is naughty |
How much time elapsed between the birth of Jesus and the visit of the Magi? |

gbengaijot:Tim Lahaye. Camara Laye is an African (from Guinea, I think) author - the author of "The African Child", etc. ![]() |

Leviathan (Job 41) |
Consultant:I agree. Havila:Your question presupposes that there is a single correct answer for your question. This is perhaps not the case. I can only tell you what I have observed from the genealogy. The purpose of this genealogy is determined by two things: 1. God's overall purpose for humanity. 2. God's specific purpose for the individual to whom that passage is revealed. From the genealogy, I have observed the following: 1. There are a total 41 generations in the genealogy, and not 42. This may be interpreted to mean that the there is a missing generation - "who will declare his generation"(Isa 53: ? We, adopted sons of God by faith in Jesus Christ, are that 42nd generation - "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (Jn 1:12), "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren" (Rom 8:29).2. When compared with the genealogy in the book of Luke, one thing is immediately obvious. This is the first of a two part series (if you will) showing "Jesus, the Son of Man" and "Jesus, the Son of God". His genealogy in Matthew is traced up to Abraham, and the introduction runs thus: "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham". His genealogy in Luke is traced to God, and ends thus: ". . . the son of God." |
marcustan:PMTCT (Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission) or AI (Artificial Insemination) are options. Why do you think HIV-infected marriages cannot involve healthy children? |
peace2all:Nebuchadnezzar was his grandfather. peace2all:"Grant me a double portion of your anointing", Elisha said to Elijah. ![]() Wilfem:Cain There were two prominent persons named James in the new testament - James the brother of John, the son of Zebedee and James the brother of Jesus. Which one of them was the head of the early church, and what was his nickname in the Church? |
peace2all:Exodus 12: 10 - The first Passover. "MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN" What was the name of the king to whom Daniel interpreted this message, and what was his relationship to Nebuchadnezzar? |
peace2all:"For from the days of John the baptist until now, the kingdom of God has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force". shahan:Matthias What were Shedrach, Meschach and Abednego's real (Hebrew) names? |
emenma:Yeah, rite. |
Delilah. She betrayed Samson. What was (the prophetess) Deborah's husband's name? |
I'm glad to see you, Ika. How are you? *stepped out* |
