As for your device outside this thread I can't remember if I have mentioned it here I have always advised people to stick to buying 6GB Ram as 6GB is now the new 4GB/3GB.

4GB RAM is the new 2GB RAM.

Sometimes spend a little extra to get satisfaction.

A series better is a lie. A series are heavily overpriced. And people buy base versions of Redmi and complain. How many people using Pro variants of Redmi Notes do you see complaining here day in day out.

Redmi Note 10 Pro is still selling almost 3 years later. E get why.

Though my next device will be a Xiaomi Mi series but if I ever have to go back to Samsung if I can't afford the S series I am not touching the overpriced A series.

I've noticed a pattern over the many years I've used Redmi phones.

The phones seems to get worse with every update.
The issues that the phones has are never addressed, instead superficial changes are made that do not solve any existing problem and in some cases, creates issues of their own.

The devs at redmi always have this obsession with providing updates without actually finding out what customer are already asking for. So basically moving forward for the sake of moving forward. No meaningful direction in mind.

I've updated to hyper os on my note 12 and it's basically a theme that is almost 5gb in size.

The major issues I thought that will be adressesed like poor ram management will not adressesed.
Instead, the file manger now looks ugly AF and the data counter is now microscopic.
I just tire.

You are the only one with this complain using the Redmi Note 12. Just backup and do a restore as the issues have been cached up there like forever.

If you had taken it to Igemburg 2 years ago that issue wouldn't have cost up to 10k to fix. It is just an IC to be replaced and that is all.

That is because you didn't register a mi account when you where using your other device or bind your other device to your mi account if at all you registered

You have to enable Volte for VOLTE to work.

1. Enter the string * # * # 86583 # * # * to enable VoLTE.


2. Enter the string * # * # 869434 # * # * to enable VoWIFI.

Note when you dial the above codes when the message after dialing shows disabled then you are good and can now see the Volte option in your connectivity menu. If it shows enabled then it means it was already enabled and it is now disabled then you have to dial it again

This is Android 12 based on MIUI 13 not Android 13. So you have to download this particular ROM first to install manually before upgrading to the next version which should Android 13 and MIUI 14

Are you sure you are checking the right device?

You can't jump all the way from 11 to android 13. The chances of it working is very slim.

Or phone will restart in countdown 5s;
Efuse blown: success.

Pressing the power button does nothing. The phone restarts again. That's the new loop I'm in now.

You should have followed my advice. You forget that your device uses a MediaTek chipset and the processes aren't as black and white like a Qualcomm chipset

Yes, the battery was healthy and about 80 percent when it got into the loop.

I've been trying to clear the cache or format the device in fastboot mode. But to do anything advance, I have to pretty much unlock the bootloader. But Xiaomi has tied the unlocking sequence as a feature that can only be enabled as a Developer options through settings when the device is booting normally into the OS.

I'm pretty much stuck at every corner.

You can try a service centre. Or contact Igemburg if you are based in Lagos.

Hi Genius and @y'all. My Redmi 9 is stock on a boot loop whereby it will turn on, display the Redmi logo and turn off.

Holding the power and volume down button successful boots into fastboot and won't turn off this time until I manually power it down.

Holding the volume up and down keys together with the power keys boot to the recovery screen where I can select recovery, fastboot and normal boot. But selecting any option apart from the fastboot results in the device turning off and won't come back on.

Any advice and anything else I can do?

Is your battery health good prior to this?
