The PH-1 still holds up really well, shame we're probably never going to get a PH-2.

The iPhone 11 Pro duo has impressed me a lot, especially camera-wise. Big step up from the XS phones. First time I'm actually tempted to switch to Apple, actually.

Both my Mate 10 Pro and LG V40 offer better packages than the iPhone and X and XS respectively, though, imo. The Mate 10 Pro vs the iPhone X, in particular. But Apple has done something nice with the 11 Pro phones, memes aside. Sadly, I'm an Android person and I just couldn't stomach switching to a different OS entirely.

By constant, I meant it wasn't in the list of available bands on the RN8 CN. But people who get global should be happy especially Glo users, it comes with Band 28.

For MTN? means it's band 20 that's available on your location. I always get the 4G reception almost anywhere I visit with band 7.

Am talking of if someone buys the Redmi Note 8 CN and it happens that it doesn't have both 7 and 20.

Someone should please buy CN version + Global ROM of RN 8 and give us review abeg.

But other sellers still have band 8 there, they have started again with their confusion. You'll only know the truth until someone gets it.

But band 7 is constant in all that I have checked.

Forget that screenshot, some sellers just copy and paste phone specs from anywhere, Chinese versions always come with band 3, the only omission are bands 20 and 28. You'll be fine with Chinese version with Global rom as long as you don't plan to use SMILE.

It is not an omission. They started it with the CC SERIES. Even kimovil that added it initially have removed bands 7, 8 and 20 from the Chinese versions of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The only noticeable difference is the band 20 which the Chinese version doesn't usually have.

This time around Xiaomi didn't add Band 7 and Band 8 to the Chinese version of the RN8 and RN8 Pro like they did with the CC series.

For those that still cant differentiate btwn Global Version, Global ROM & CN Version, the below images should help a bit

in an addendum to all that has been said earlier, CN Version(Hardware, fewer LTE bands) can come with CN ROM or Global ROM(Software, supports Google services+its multilingual)
while Global Version(Hardware, more LTE bands) comes with Global ROM (Software, supports Google services+its multilingual)

My question is dat, why sud i buy same device @77k+ bcoz 3bands were added to the CN Version dat goes for 59k+

As for me, I will be going for CN version with Global ROM

And I told you the price difference is because of the Global Version just came out.

Personally after the brick on some units of some CN RN5 on Global ROM while upgrading to Android 9, I don't advise a noob to buy a CN Version with Global ROM.

From the screenshots above do you know that the CN Version has no support for any of MTN's LTE Bands?

At least the CN Version of Redmi Note 7 and Note 5 had band 7.

If you don't plan on using either MTN, Smile or GLO 4G in most parts do go ahead. Instead I will advice you wait for Nigerian release, it is closer than you think.

What's the difference between a Global Rom and a Global Version?

Global ROM is the software that accompanies the Global Version. That is why you have to wait for the Global Version before you can get Legit Global ROM to flash on Chinese version

SD 855 + was released July so the Mi 9 can't be 855+. It is the Mi 9 Pro 5G that was released alongside the Mix Alpha that comes with SD 855+
