How can one on hotspot and WiFi at the same time on RN7 or that's not possible because I think RN5 can do that...
The feature is clashing with Android 9/MIUI 10, it stopped working for us Redmi Note 5 users after the pie update. If you have been following the thread it have been stated severally

No 2g option
You didn't follow instructions, I said you should click on the SIM, you will see preferred network type click it. Let's say your MTN SIM since you are using Airtel for data. When you click on MTN you should see preferred network type, click on it

While I cheer your decision to leave that painfully slow network, that was probably designed for sloths, I will advice you to avoid Ntel. Lest you perform the proverbial jump, from frying pan to fire. Ntel is a network meant to provoke and frustrate, I believe it is their secret mission statement.
You might be better off looking at either Spectranet or Swift.
Spectranet and swift are not in my location currently. Their expansion is painfully slow

Please how do I change my other SIM network to to 2G
1. Through SIM settings, select SIM card, select preferred network type and select 2G

2. Download the force LTE app from playstore or *#*#4636#*#*

NB. you have to do it again once you restart your phone

Then you need to port asap

Go to settings, search for WiFi Scanning, turn it and Bluetooth scanning off.

Also always set your SIM you are not using to browse on 2G only.

*If*?

Well, I don't have anything to say to someone that have never seen nor handle a Xiaomi phone before. I used to say the same thing, not until I got one for myself.

Las las, you ain't different from the trolls on here.

@ if Xiaomi proves it worth, it will soon be in vogue

Which worth do they have to prove again?

Xiaomi have not ventured into Nigeria before guys started getting it. If it has no worth, you think Niggas will wait for months before getting theirs from AliExpress?
A company that is growing every quarter, they are now the king's of wearables(Smart watches and bands). I don't know what he wants them to prove again.

Glo is so terrible in my house in particular for the past four days. It is so bad that I am no on 2G to save battery, once it is 7pm it becomes extremely difficult to browse. When man settle am porting to Ntel.

Checkout my battery gragh

It's for roaming services. It can't be deleted/installed, best thing is to disable it till when needed

Please is the camera that bad, still expecting mine 3gb 32gb rom, never see redmi or Xiaomi before I just hope am gonna like it,just pray it's colourful
The camera ain't bad I got it for someone, first I did when I setup the phone was to disable beauty mode on the front camera, it sucks. But other pics I took where okay I tweaked the settings a little though Add GCam on it and you are good to go.

I won't lie, it's not bad perse, but it makes your face looks painted or oily.
Gcam got ur back, so don't worry much
Disable beauty mode, that is the culprit

My RN5AI Pie update was done today successfully and easily. 1.6GB.
The only difference I've so far seen is the charging symbol.
There are more, dark mode is there, the colours of the display looks for Saturated, there is camera improvement, battery life improvement as well and you can't use both WiFi and Hotspot at the same time anymore.

Also disable WiFi and Bluetooth scanning to avoid battery drain it turned on by default on pie

Only LTE band advantage is band 20 which is scarcely needed. None of them has band 28.
I know, but these days especially MTN seems to be using band 20 in places with less population density

It is, took the picture in February and the weather condition was hazy. The sun was that way because of adjustment I did on my HDR why taking the picture.

OK. Thanks. I noticed your moniker as one of these who is always quick to give assistance. Thank you! What about the issue of Chinese version having more advantage (so to say) or changing your location to India in order to assess certain apps/themes ? I know they is always a solution to these issues but I just had to ask if it was user friendly.
Global Version is the best for you(Reason, More LTE bands), that's what you will get here in Nigeria officially anyway.

Face unlock is available for Redmi 7/Note 7 users in Nigeria once you update the ROM that comes with the Phone.

It is only font that usually you need to change your region but there is workaround for that. I use a font and my region is still Nigeria.

that GCAM of a thing is a digital camera on its own sometimes I wonder if the gcam removed my own camera and replaced its own at the back of my phone
Google redefined Mobile photography with their digital computational photography. After pushing your camera hardware to its limits then the digital algorithm does the rest. Another maker that have tried in that aspect is Nokia with the Nokia 9 and the Huawei Mate and P series. Samsung are trying but their software is letting their hardware down

Okay, so I've been using the Redmi note 7 for exactly a week.

I haven't gotten a screen protector yet cause I don't know which one to get. I've seen a lot on Jumia and I would like your recommendations. I want one that looks good and won't dull my display. Or if anyone here has and can deliver to Abeokuta before Friday at a reasonable price, you can also quote me.
Get a screen protector from Macbeyland.

Thanks for your unbiased review
