if you really want to relocate to any of the 15 ecowas states, just have the following in mind:
*you need to go prepared with some cash to get accomodation.
*forget any thought of job hunting( there is also high rate of unemployment in all ecowas states)
*visit your choice country first and make a comprehensive business study of their most demanding comodities and services.
*make vivid enquiries on processing of becoming a resident investor as a foreigner (especially the francophone countries)
*don't depend 100% on infos the nigerians you meet there tell you (especially in ghana)
finally, once you are satisfied with the aswers to the above statements, go back with cash for rent, cash for paper works for both business & resident legalization, the little capital you can raise for you investment and pocket money to feed.

with determination, peseverance, focus, honesty, modesty and prayers you gonna succeed in no time. cos the naija 'never say die' spirit will help you pull through. Merci!

Travel / Re: Want To Know The Cost Of Living In Cape Coast Ghana by gentlebullet(m): 10:11pm On Sep 04, 2015
Just as the user above me said, Cape Coast is a cool and coastal city with tourist sites like the castle, Kakum national park, the beach and lots of resorts. If not for the University of Cape Coast and C Poly, the city is so so dry! The cost of living is high, commuting in town is expensive, accommodation and food is expensive maybe cos of the influx of tourist that do visit the city.
Am typing this from cape coast. Been here since last month for a project and its their fetu afahye(festival) went for street carnival(orange friday) this afternoon. There are lots of Nigerian students here and traders too. If only you have enough cash to run your business, then you can give it a shot but I will recommend Kumasi, Accra or even Koforidua.

Abua like you, bokko haram is killing you dogs, your country is a cesspit, a laughing stock in the world and a scar on the conscience of the black race. Generator fumes is killing your family members back home, your stewpid leaders don't give a fork about you guys. Clean your house first, foooool.

Aboa!!! Gyimi fuo! Stop pretending as if you don't need the Nigerians. Just today Mugabe still said Ghana is still as poor as in the 60s Boko haram is an islamic sect that is terrorising its own people of the north so don't say what you don't know about. Am only on official duties in Ghana so don't think am stuck in here. We all know that Ghana is seriously sick right now. And its economy is at the mercy of the chinese and Nigerians . LOL!

What keeps amazes me is d "suffering and smile" attitude of most of my Ghanaian brothers. They so much pretend as if all is well whiles nothing good is happening in there.
I was in the entourage consisting of the minister of transportation, officials of NRSC,officials MTTU of Ghana police service, and many others that visited the plant of Apostle Kwadjo Sarfo(the founder of Katanta) along the accra-winneba road in the central region and his son who is the ceo of the company told us clearly that they have the capacity to assemble only 15cars per month for now and they are trying to seal a deal with a chinese coy for expansion of the plant.
Please, how can you start export of vehicles that speaks twi when the gear is engaged to the reverse? Even the govt. Is not convinced yet that those vehicles could be acquired and added to its pool of official vehicles.
Ghana has a long way to go concerning export of finished goods apart from alomo bitters. Cos they import everything from rice, cooking oil, onions, tomatoes, toothpick and even old newspapers(use to wrap kelewele and puff puff)
As at now, electricity and water is luxury in almighty Ghana. Its now 12hrs off/24hrs on(not constant)for electricity and water hasn't run tru our taps here in Labone for more than 3weeks(not even for 2mins), Health insurance is now an identity card cos its no more effective for free health service even in govt owned health facilities. Lemme stop here..........

The organisation I work with has a documentary which is about to be presented to UNDFP and UNICEF about the rate of teenage pregnancy and bad environmental conditions in Kumasi, accra and Takoradi(the 3main economy centre of Ghana)

See what years of inhaling generator fumes and eating Eba has caused?

Do you have electricity?

stop deceiving yourself if President Mahama's NDC govt is. What is d difference in d availability of electricity btw Ghana and Nigeria? There have been load shedding in Ghana since August(12hrs per day) except in d Northern regions. 12unions just called off a 2weeks nation wide strike this morning cos d govt can't assure them of their gratuity when they go on retirement as from 2015. NHIS(health insurance) is no more accepted by health providers including govt owned health facilities. Massive corruption eating (from Brazil 2014 world cup, National Service Scheme Boss, etc)
I have been coming to work as an NGO staff in Ghana since last year and d citizens are complaining so much abt d falling state of d nation. Nigeria was able to manage its ebola crises and conquer it within a month. Ghana has been fighting common cholera since July and have recorded over 12,000 cases across the country with more than 250 death. Still you will come to a forum like this and make mouth.
Everyone knows Nigeria to be a less secured country and its not news but trying to paint Ghana like a heaven makes no sense cos the rate of crime in Ghana is high compare to its population.

Jokes Etc / Elderly Woman As A Witness In Court by gentlebullet(m): 9:22pm On Oct 10, 2014
In a court trial, a lawyer called his 1st witness who happens to be an elderly grandmother to the box, and began to cross examine her.
Lawyer : "Mama Vero " do you know me?
Mama Vero: yes, i do know you lawyer pollus I've known you since you were a young boy, and to be frank, you have been a disappointment to your parents and to the society, you are a liar, you cheat people including your wife. You manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you are a big man when you don't even have brain and manners. Yes' I know you!..
The lawyer was stunned, not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked again; Lawyer Pollus: "Mama Vero" do you know the defence lawyer? She replied
Mama Vero: yes i do, i've known lawyer Gideon since he was a young boy too, he has been your very good friend because the 2 of you have the same character. He has also been a very lazy man and he has a drinking problem. Infact, he is a criminal, he can't even build a normal relationship with anyone, his law pratice is one of the worst in the country. Not to mention, he cheated on his wife with more than 3 different women, 1 of them was your wife. yes, i know him.
The defence lawyer almost fainted. Just then, the judge called both lawyers to his table and in a very quiet voice said, ''if any of you idiots ask her if she knows me, l 'll make sure you lose your license.

Romance / Re: Nairalanders Share Your Blind Dates Experience Here by gentlebullet(m): 5:39pm On Aug 12, 2014
I have taken time to read the numerous funny and exciting stories of Nairalanders on this thread. Now lemme also share my own stories. Its gonna be 1 after d other though.
My 1st blind date was actually some times around 2012 in accra, Ghana. I registered on Badoo and started chatting this French gal who was also in Ghana as a student. We exchanged fone numbers after abt 2days of chatting and I called her. That day was a friday and she was forming busy student things, d next day being Saturday was a bit boring for me so I called her and told her to let us meet later that day. In d evening, she called and told me she was on her way to my area (Osu) so as a sharp naija guy, I told my 2flatmates we are having a visitor. When she finally arrived, she facially ok, tall, front and back solid and she spoke pretty good english. My guys told her to call her co-french gals over and in less than 2hrs three other gals were in our flat but they insisted we take them out to the club that nite( if u knw francophone gals very well, they love clubbing) so we went clubbing and I was already singing Psalms into the hears of Peace( that's d gal's name) so she agreed to follow me back home after clubbing @ dawn on Sunday. We got home and she went to bed straight, I managed to a shower and then joined her in bed but I didn't touch her. My flat-mates couldn't convince their catch to follow them home, we had our breakfast together and after dat she went into d bathroom to take her bath. Immediately she got into d room, na so so bleeping o.............. Dat was my 1st bed encounter wit a Beninoise gal.... It was fun tho and we are dated till she completed her course and left Ghana and she even invited me to cotonou late last year to come service her engine........

Schooling in Ghana now is quite expensive. Ur tuition is gonna be in US$ and cost of living in Ghana has risen so much in recent times, the Ghanaian economy is facing a lot of challenges. Talking about schooling and working, that's almost impossible except u are coming for graduate degree and u already have a degree in health related field with that, u can get a part-time job. My advice is that if u can afford the fees and cost of living here, its better u go to either europe or even South Africa.
I live and work in Ghana, so I know what am talking abt. Good luck!
