Please nairaland,I want to know how to travel from Ghana to Nigeria by road without any transport company.because their fair is getting out of hand and it's affecting business, please help a brother.
If you are in Accra, find your way to STC station in Tudu and board a bus to Aflao( the fare is Ghc28). When you alight at the STC Park in Aflao, you walk down to the border and stamp your passport out of Ghana and into Togo.

After border crossing, Just walk down to the car park right there on the Togo side of Aflao, you will see vehicles loading to Cotonou, Seme and Lagos. The Seme cars loads faster and the fare is 6000Cfa, you will alight at Hilla-Codji (Togo/ Benin border), cross on foot whiles the vehicle crosses to wait for you at the car park on the Benin side.( stamping of passport here has to do with your smartness. If you don't have a passport and yellow card, you pay 500cfa on both sides to immigration and 300cfa for yellow card).

From Hilla-codji you pass Cotonou and drive to Seme, Just pick a bike to cross you to the Nigeria side for #500 if you aren't stamping passport. I am sure you can find your way from Seme to your final destination in Lagos.
I hope this helps.....

Hello NL, I need to waybill some items to Jos from Lagos Iyana Ipaja precisely. Please where can I get a bus going to Jos in Iyana Ipaja and do you have an idea of how much they charge for waybill?
It's urgent, please
If it's to waybill items to Jos, then your best bet is to go to Bonny way transport at ijora. The buses moves in the evening and your items will be in Jos by noon next day. You can't get a direct bus from iyana ipaja. It's either you send through Abuja bound bus and you beg the driver to send from Abuja to jos for you since the fare from Abuja to jos is less than #1500.

Please shed more light on this . Requirements to get a PR in Ghana
Cc Gentlebullet . [/quote
Getting PR starts with application for work permit. The applicant will need to go pick up the application forms at the GIS headquarters,Accra. i will have to confirm the current fees and required documents from my folks in that section. it used to be $60 when i was at HQ and the documents required where either employment letter or business registration certificate, rent agreement and a reference letter from a citizen but things have changed since early this year.

What you will need to process is a residence permit.

gentlebullet should have more info on this cheesy
Lol.... How is Abidjan Bro? i will be in town on 7th April for workshop....... if you will be in town lets relate (ezekiellabi35@gmail.com)
Concerning entry stamp extension for Gh... if it were few months back, it was easy walking into any Regional or District immigration office for extension to stay without any wahala and the fee is Ghc20 but since our brothers & sisters started misbehaving and the authorities now have interest in what every Nigerian is doing in the country, the vetting of the applicant isn't child play and processing RP comes with lots of documentation.
The easiest way to go about it now is few days to the expiration of the 60days, the person should board an Aflao bound bus, go to the immigration desk at the border to stamp-out of Ghana then stamp-in at the Togo side, go do some sightseeing at the Beach side in Lome and window shopping at the Lome market for an hour or two then return to the border to stamp-out of Togo and then Stamp-in to Ghana for another 60days, go to the bus park and return to Accra.
This will ease the stress of going to answer plenty questions at the immigration office especially if the person is a youth.
the financial implication won't be more than Ghc100(Tfare Ghc60 to & fro, Ghc10 each at the immigration desks).

hello sir,how are you doing and fams? I just pm you sir,was discussing with my older brother abt my trip and he asked a question and I'd need ur help on that sir, should I travel to Lome source for the goods then head to Accra, or after sourcing return to Lagos before coming to Accra?
Hi bro, replied your PM already.
Since you said you have a place to stay already and your time and resources are limited, you can source your goods in Lome on your way to Accra then you just hit the hustle rolling once you enter Gh.
You can reduce cost by making the Lagos - Lome trip short-short (I mean cross seme border on foot and stamp your passport on both naija and Benin side, take seme to Aflao car and drop in Lome to do the buying) then you locate either Efex or GUO motor office in Lome to take you and your goods to Accra so they can help you sort CEPS at both Aflao, Dabala and Sogakope custom check.

thanks once again sir,I believe in growth and expansion, my plan is to source for the goods from Lome( making enquiries already), then travel to Accra during which I'd run the buiness within the 60days stamp i got at the border cos I don't intend to permanently stay in Ghana at least not now.but I would never stay in Ghana illegally. I have a course I attend to in Lagos but only requires my presence from Aug to Nov every year till am done.can I not do it this way sir.
Nice and good plan! give me an head ups here whenever you get into Ghana. CHEERS

hello sir,I pray for you,may God continue to bless you.you and your advice is really what I need.even my mom prays for you.I Will heed to ur advice. On the issue of documentation, I have my passport and will get the yellow card ready,a friend told me that upon my arrival at the immigration check point, I'll be give about 60 to 90days stay.is this true and is that what I need to avoid police issue?I really don't like wahala and want to be law abiding.thanks once more and my regards to ma'am.
Amen and God Bless You and your Mum too. You will be stamped 60days as a Nigerian at Aflao border and the stamp is in 2 column one column will state the date of entry and the name of the border post eg " immigration officer 15 MAR 2019 DISEMBARKED AFLAO BORDER POST " then the 2nd column will be "leave to enter Ghana for 60 days EMPLOYMENT PROHIBITED " don't be alarmed. all you need to do is to apply for residence permit as you start selling(better you apply at regional immigration offices like cape coast than GIS headquarters in accra), i can assure you that if you make the campuses as your selling points you won't have issues with the authorities till you get your RP cos the students are familiar with nigerian students who are their course mates and vibe on the campus. i stopped assisting naija guys getting documented in Ghana since one guy almost got me interdicted from my job side few yrs back. all i can do now is put you through the process and direct you where and which office to enter. IT IS WELL

thank you so very much for this info,I intend to travel soon, and my choice of interest is clothing buiness(second hand clothes) I have a friend there in which i send clothes to help me resell, but dude is not forthcoming with good returns. That's why I want to run it myself.any advice on this will be appreciated. The guy is based in kasoa
You are most welcome bro. though i don't know the agreement btw you and your friend helping you to sell the clothes but lemme inform you that there is a market in Accra called katamanto where Bales of second hand clothes, shoes, etc are sold just like in kotangora(super), Yaba and Badagry markets in Lagos and the Nigerians that i know dealing in okrika source theirs from Lome market in Togo. so i doubt if you will be making good profit sourcing yours from Naija cos the cost of transportation, settlement of CEPS, etc will consume the little profit and remember the cost of living in Gh is very high compare to any state in Naija so your friend will be forced to also reduce remittance to you.

If you are very experienced in the okrika business, this is my advice to you:
Try source your goods from Lome market, deal in Female wears(Tops, dinner gowns, straight dresses) start by selecting good and A graded clothes from open bales. when you get to Ghana don't look for shop, stall or market to sell your goods. there are Lots of Tertiary institutions in Accra and Central region(make those your starting points) we have University of Ghana, legon, University of Professional Studies(UPS), Zenith University, Accra Technical University, Central University, Ghana telecoms University, Kaaf university, University of Education, winneba, University of cape coast, Cape coast Technical university, etc. all you need to do is go to their female hostels in the morning during weekends and from 4pm - 7pm during weekdays to market your goods.
if you are an hustler who is not forming big boy, my guy you go sell wella so far the dresses are nice and good grade. this is what i did few years back with my then GF now my wife before i got employed. we started with new female panties then okrika clothes at the request of the students we started this panties business with Ghc150 in 2010, got the capital to sell clothes from the panties and in less than 2months we started buying bales from that katamanto market. my wife was a teacher then, i go round campuses during weekdays alone and we both go during weekends. my wife bought her 1st car from this business, changed the car after 2yrs all cash from this same business. i had to stop the business cos of my job and wifey did this biz as side running till she and my kids relocated.
if you are diligent, honest and refined(don't start dating your customers), you will make it in this biz. the only downside right now is the problems our people are causing here in Ghana(Yahoo, robbery, kidnapping, car hijacking, etc). so i will advice you try as much as possible to document your stay cos there is a massive clampdown on undocumented Nigerians in Ghana right now and some Ghanaians are begin to really despise Nigerians especially naija guys cos of the naija kidnap syndicate that are still holding on to the 3 girls from Takoradi.
IT IS WELL
