wow!...my fellow Augustians i am happy to announce the receipt of the golden mail known as PER yesterday night 14th Jan 2015 at exactly 11pm local time.Remember its same yesterday i was able to get my UCI number from CIC after more than 20 times trial and checked my ECAS same yesterday and saw IN PROCESS and just about some hours after that PER flew in.BTW i am August 27th applicant. So for all other fellow Agustians waiting for PER,MR and RPRF... and delayed DD/CC charge just hand on with faith and we shall all get there.

Now MR wait happily begins.

Please what did you say to the phone operator that he/she decided to give you the UCI number. I tried calling but they wont give me any information.
.i have called them like over 20 times since past 3 weeks and they always tell me what they told you..but today about 30 minutes ago the same people that have refused to give me gave me the UCI number...what i told them?i told them i mistakenly deleted the mail sent to me by CIO to me and now i am filling a form for tourism and UCI number needed to complete the application which wont submit without the UCI number..i told them i could only remember 92------ butt he rest i cant...the lady asked me my surname,my full names, date of birth,my phone number, email address and my street address and then to confirm she asked what program i initially applied that got me the UCI number i told her FSWP...and bingo! she gave it to me.try that stunt too and see if it works for you

Please i need to know something...my application was received August 27th under NOC 1212 and DD was encashed 4th Dec but since then i have not gotten the PER mail..i was advised to call CIC as well as send a mail to that effect....i sent a mail but as we know it takes up to 50-60days for response to come..however i started calling CIC to see if i can get my UCI number which up to 20times within 3 weeks they refused giving me saying they cant give me the information i should e mail CIO. However i got lucky just today and they gave me my UCI number. When i checked the ECAS it showed my full name and IN PROCESS underlined. When i click on the IN PROCESS it said...We received your application on 27 August

please what does that mean....is it they sent PER and i didn't see it or they are yet to send?

I don't see any issues. You are going for a conference, you wife is going with you but on vacation. No problem with that. Have faith and go ahead.
Thanks Tee12345....you saying then its right to go together for the interview using my business summit conference both for myself and her...

I think that in my own opinion to add to what LadyGuinivere has written, American embassy is unpredictable and pretty funny, so you go first and get the visa and let her go after you with a copy of your visa, it doesn't necessarily has to be for conference, she can apply for vacation or something.
Chloe7...thanks for that too...someone suggested same thing you just said now..that i should got for mine using the business summit and when i get it she should then proceed specifying vacation while presenting copy of my visa...but when she is filling the form when asked is there any accompany partner what will be her response...because i think your idea looks possible.

LadyGuinivere:
IMO I think if both of you have travelled together, that u apply for vacation for both of you. The story no get comma or k leg. My ist application, I said I wanted to accompany my mom for a conference. They bounced me.
Its always better when the reason for travel is clearcut. Btw , your travel history is tight.
My 2 cents. Somebody else , please add your opinion
Thanks LadyGuinivere...we both have gone on vacation together to Dubai and Ghana....if i go alone to USA embassy am pretty sure i will get the visa for the Business Summit.its just i want to go along with her...however,if the possibility of her being given is through vacation then lte me put in for vacation.

The inviting NGO will assist you on this. Usually, there is a separate form issued for accompanying spouse by every reputable organisation. This will cover for your spouse if available.

And hope she works and earn income?
Thanks...my spouse owns her own business...she worked earlier and resigned to start up her business

Please i have been a silent follower of this thread and i will say i have gained a lot of things from questions asked here and your responses here..you are doing a great job.

I have a situation at hand.
i am billed to attend a global partnership summit in New York this July 2015 of an international NGO which i belong to and i want to apply for a visa for the summit but i want my wife to go along with me.she is not a member of the NGO and i just recently returned from a world congress meeting in Germany of this same NGO,i have good travel history of Europe-Germany,Holland,Turkey,Belgium and France (excluding UK),Dubai,South Africa,Ghana and my wife has been to Dubai and Ghana too.

what is the possibility of me and my spouse being issued visa as i am going for a business summit but wish to have her around for us to have extra days of vacation after the summit...what will be the best scenario..or do i forget about applying for both of us via the business summit and just apply for holiday while still using it to attend my business summit.Remember my aim of applying for visa is for the summit but wish to carry my wife along.

Please your urgent response is needed as i am about booking for interview date.
Thanks

One more question. i want to pay for the IELTS exam and wanted to know if i should direct British council to send the result to CIC ?
Nope, you are to collect it your self and it should be included in your application you will send to CIC.Cheers.

Tell her to do IELTS GT. My opinion though!
i concur with ferdimako..let your wife do the IELTS..it is easier for her to score the minimum than you to hit the 21points that you seek for not that you cant but probable...you wife?she can hit the additional 5points with little or less effort...she can register now and pick a date within the January or if Dec is stil available...going for remarking to me is time consuming and the outcome may not come out better at time it does ..all is still probable.Learn from my experience..i did IELTS twice hoping to hit the desired point and both came out just the same points again..i took advise from people like ferdinmako, solomonwise and damkollins and let my wife take the test and she hit more than me sef..which was what i would have done without rewriting twice.all what you need is not who brought the desired points but that you have it.Best of Luck

Thanks solomonwise, guys i have been able to confirm that GTB has started reissuing Canadian dollar draft. 24hr pick up Sha sad but if you are upcountry (i.e not in lagos) you can initiate it online if you have a token and they will send the draft to any branch you want to pick it up from smiley
@Aceoak...thanks for confirming about the resumption of cad draft, why i suggested you go was because i called and they said they have started and another person said he called and they said no they have not.But now you have at least cleared the air by visiting there in person. So Forumites i will advise a DD mode better than a CC but whichever one your heart agrees on please don't waste time..wish all of us Goodluck.

Hi guys, has anyone been able to raise a draft from GTB in the last couple of days? i want to go there tomorrow morning and try. smiley
@AceOak,I placed a call to GTB last week monday and they told me they have resumed raising candian dollars draft after resolving the technical issue they had before, but another forumite responded that he also placed a call and they said they have not started..so as it stands now only a physical visit will get the answer..so try and go and then give us feedback.

I am not sure what you are paying for but i believe USD draft is also acceptable. If that is the case, then go to UBA (marina branch) and raise your draft as long as you have a dom account with them. You should get it in 24 hours. I rasied my USD there for RPRF.
I think CIC specified the draft to be raised in CAD not USD,however I wouldn't know if they also said RPRF should also be in CAD..so let's confirm and be sure before forumites start raising drafts in USD only to be rejected.

Yes Yokus,am sure of what i was told, unless the guy that responded to your call isn't aware, they actually told me they had the technical issue last few weeks and now have resolved it and can now start issuing again..otherwise i wont post it here,i didn't do mine here cos i submitted my application August, mine was raised in Toronto. But visiting Oyin Jolayemi too wont be a bad idea to fully confirm.

Fellow Hopefuls,
As regards the inability to raise Canadian dollars DD via GT bank which was stopped few weeks ago due to technical issues,i placed a call to Gtbank head office this morning and i can confirm they have resumed raising the draft. They confirmed they had technical issues previously but that has been resolved and they apologized for the inconveniences it might have caused. So guys you can raise your DD now with GTbank.

I have read thru your ordeals with great pains, firstly, thank God for sparing your life in that fatal accident cos you were no better than thos that died meaning God has a purpose in your life.secondly, never think of going to court with your employer cos it will take the rotten judiciary 10yrs to even look at your case, hope you still remember the case of the girl beaten up in V/I by Naval operatives, you want to know the outcome?still in court.my candid advice, move on woth your life, the bank is being managed by people who mistakenly found themselves in the postion they are now not becos of thier high excellency but by cheer Gods favor.so shall your favour too come.believe in God cos greater things are on the way for you.when one door closes, several other great doors open but the problem with us is we stoll go back and sit in front of the closed door hoping that it will be opend again not seeing the other several doors that have be thrown open and beckoning for us to come in.God is your strenght.
