One quick question OP...why do Mexicans prefer going to America why Canada is Visa free for 6 months for them?
There is nothing for unskilled Mexicans in Canada the way they have opportunities in the US,..population drives all sort of economic activities...and people should not forget that Texas was formally part of Mexico not until after the war led by Gen Sam Houston that took Texas away from Mexico...reason you find more Mexicans in Texas and New Mexico.

I just want the the truth and that's all. He said he went there on a Visa and now working on his papers. But somehow he's doing some sort of established business there. Does that make sense to you or you will just swallow anything he said because he's in Mexico. I dont care if he's in Sinaloa, I dont care! But his story doesn't add up. We ain't fools.
Bros if you have been to all the countries,,why are you here on his thread, to learn what? so tell us about the countries you have been to and how others can also follow you and been to too...leave those that wants to try mexico to listen to the guy and learn. Since he is lying, allow others to listen to the lies.and use the lies to better their dreams..so long as the op is not doing anything illegal in Mexico, leave am to teach others..i take name of lie lie mohammed beg you.

Bro you are just wasting your time trying to convince some people that Mexico is way better than Nigeria. Is very absord for somebody that have never been to Mexico to come here and start saying what they don’t know. I was there and I know everything you have said is true. Those that will appreciate the information you are giving will be happy you created this topic. God Bless you
Very correct, how can anyone compare Nigeria with Mexico..not even Ghana, even South Africa that is the Europe of Africa is not even close to Mexico...i heard someone ask why are Mexicans in US doing shitty jobs and failed to ask same question why are Nigerians flocking to common Ghana, Senegal,Gambia,Liberia..what is even shitty jobs, Mexican does shitty jobs in US and still make money more than those in naija doing the bank teller jobs...

I used to think its only Buhari that thinks Nigerian hospitals are better than any hospital in UK ( he has gone again to UK to check his ear)...

Mexico is not in the same miles with Nigeria pls..its an insult to tag Mexico along with Nigeria...tag Nigeria along with Yemen,Niger,Chad

And I still insist, we should not make it look like those Nigerians that stayed back in Nigeria are fools......because in the real sense, they are the heroes.

It takes a courageous heart to remain in a place that needs fixing or to stay with someone in his or her time of trouble.....the faint hearted run away at the slightest fear.

Leaving Nigeria for abroad does not make anyone doing it a better person.....its just a decision. No matter how bad we paint Nigeria or how bad Nigeria becomes, some people, in fact a lot of people must stay back. If 30% of Nigerians make attempt to leave Nigeria to other countries, many countries will start repatriating Nigerians in their countries back to Nigeria irrespective of your residential status.....citizenship can be revoked so long as its not by birth and by indigenous parents
bros you mean all the politicians in Abuja that have dual citizenships and have come to the abroad to keep their families are all faint hearted? Name which politician you know that does not a house in the Abroad and waiting to retire from politics to run away to the abroad to hide away from the rot they helped created?

Oga the real heroes are those that left their homeland ,migrate and made it in another mans land wading through rough waters and hustling with retraining's and education to make it...only a warrior takes a risk..starting a new life in abroad is not for everyone..it takes a lion heart human to try that where you have no relations, no father and no village to run to when hunger wire you ,but they remained and created a life for themselves. Probably Buharis Kids in UK are faint hearted, Rotimi Amaechis son in Canada is faint hearted, El Rufais kids in UK are all faint hearted...

please stop decieving yourself, even those your leaders know that they have killed Nigeria, can you be more patriotic than them? Anthony Joshua for come Nigeria come stay and see if he would have become the world champion, ask Bash Ali how Nigeria treated him and check Francis Obikwelu and see for yourself.

The young Nigerian doctor that was part of the scientists that developed covid-19 vaccine check his age and check his mate working in Nigeria to know of his mates in Nigeria can produce panadol. But he migrated to US after his degree and America gave him the environment to think well...Fulani herdsmen alone and generator noise for no let his brain calm down to think of what to even invent.

When you are over 30 years, you start to lose points in the Express Entry system every year and the maximum points for work experience is 3 years, even if you have 10 years experience, you still get the same points as someone with 3 years experience. This is why it is more difficult for a 45 year old to scale the process.

And except they were IT workers or they were working for a multinational company, they wouldn't have started on the same level when they got to Canada, this is because Canadian employers place a huge priority on Canadian work experience.
Canadian Work experience relatively in Canada does not mean number of years worked, soft skills that we naturally do not have in Nigeria is what Canada see as such which includes but not limited to work culture, work environment ethics and lot more, time management etc.
TravelRe: Canada Hype And Travel Rush: Here Are Things You Need To Know by gentleiphy: 11:17pm On Jan 21, 2021
79733139:
Since there is an age issue, it is very difficult for the typical Nigerian manager or director who is way over 30 years old to scale the Express Entry process. Most of the people that succeed are usually not on the management or director cadre.

And a lot of people really don't mind that. Since being in a mid-level position puts you in a comfortable position, some people gladly accept that as the price to pay to live in a good country like Canada (or Germany).
Not totally true, a lot even with their age left managerial level jobs in Nigeria and started in same level some even more than same level with better pay and quality of life. Age is not a criteria for employment in that part of the world, reason you see someone of age above 45yrs needing a career switching going back to college because he or she knows he would be placed on same employment opportunity scale with someone younger and whoever performs better gets hired unlike Nigeria.

Princewill1:
The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating.

1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list.

2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this.

3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour.

4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived.

5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth.

6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime.

7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check.

8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons.

9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US.

10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world.
All i want to add to this comment is this:
Atiku just ran to Dubai to take the covid-19 vaccine
Anambra State Governor Willy Obiano and wife are presently in Houston to take the covid-19 vaccine, the wife already took hers and they are waiting for the Governors turn, they are going to spend a month plus to take the complete dose...

You know what that means? because they hold American Citizenships reason they were allowed to take it, can you op do the same with the money you have in Nigeria? When will Nigeria get the vaccines to get to the poor masses the Governor and the wife left in Anambra state...
When the Vaccine is finally procured by Nigeria government, do you think poor masses will have access to it? Nigeria will start selling the vaccines to the highest bidder and the rich, but in the countries you mentioned every one gets a vaccine without stress.

Do you remember that little girl that survived the Sosoliso plane crash in PortHarcourt that Pastor Bimbo Odukoya died in? The little girl lives in America, saved by hospitals in America (Nigeria could not), she went to America Got Talent and is doing pretty well in US, do you think Nigeria would have given her reason to live and be happy again?

Okonjo Iweala achieved all what she is today in US, Chinua Achebe left Nigeria and never came back until his death, why? He had a road accident Ni that got him paralyzed (Nigeria could not handle his case) and he was flown to US and his life saved but remained on a wheelchair yet he still taught in the University sitting on a wheelchair.

There is difference between hell on earth and heaven on earth. And you know the one Nigeria belongs to.

Aside this my contribution, you used your data well to sample opinion.

Sir/Ma, can you show me where it states that one will be rejected if they applied for a US visa after being a Canadian PR for 6 months or less?
I am not here to argue what you don't know, this thread is for Canadian tourist visa, i only made reference to US visa application while here in Canada to drive home my point for the super visa application refusal. wait when you become a PR or if you are already a PR and less than 6 months post arrival, please apply for US visa then come back here and tell the result. others who needs the information and who it was meant for would have picked one or two things from the heads up. However i will add this for you to ponder as well, being a Canadian PR holder does not also guarantee you US visa approval.

Does anyone know how much will be paid when one is submitting a passport when PPR is received? This is an online application
if it is visa renewal and you have done biometrics before, you pay about N8k when you go to drop your passport but if its not a renewal but fresh application you don't have to pay any other money.

i hope this helps

Actually you are correct but one thing we need understand very well it not only one visa officer looking at numerous application and it does not mean because visa officer A overlook a particular issue officer B will overlook it too ,in canada nanny is classified as work so ur mum Cannot come to canada to take care of your kid taking up the place of nanny but she can come to visit her grandchildren even with a super visa you cannot work.
I know so many have given some likely reasons behind that ladys mum being denied a visa.I just want to quickly state the major reason and i tjink someone mentioned it here, She might not agree to it or other may not but i have been in this country long enough to understand how this things work.

She arrived Canada in May 2019 and seven months after arriving she applied for SUPERVISA...that is a red flag on its own. There are strong clauses attached to meeting the requirement to apply for SUPERVISA for parents and for someone that is just seven to eight months in the country, not yet fully settled down, with family of her own to cater for and adding a probable dependent that in case of health emergency for the one year she is going to stay may gulp good amount of their savings even with the health insurance taken. If she had applied for visitors visa with or without travel history ,her mother would have gotten visa expiry in line with passport expiry date. Just the same way when you arrive here as a PR and just six months after arriving you go to apply for US visit visa here in Canada, you will be rejected as they also see it as too short a time for a PR to want to visit US.

I will advise she apply for visit visa for her mother and upon arrival after three months apply for extension and her mother will still stay up to one year that she originally planned. If she reapplied for a super visa again chances are she will be denied second time.

however she still reserve the right to decide what to do..all we have here are suggestions for better results.

Oh, you went to CBSA before the overstay you mean? Thought you did the explanation on her way out having had the 3 days overstay.
Nope, went to CBSA the night she was to leave Canada,i took her for the CBSA to see for themselves that she could not fly that night and next flight available for re- booking was in the next three days...CBSA even called the airline to do the re booking right there in their office and got confirmation that flight was re booked. Mind you her visa was not expired as at that day..only issue was she had 6 months allowable to stay and that day was 6 months on the dot..midnight of same day makes it overstay above the 6 months...so that was why i took her to CBSA to see for themselves and that solved the wahala that would have come from renewing her next visa.

I suspected an overstay or a defect in previous visa usage as reason for the denial.

Learnt something new but quite risky from @the bolded.
The bolded is not risky, it clearly tells the authority that the overstay was not intentional reason you came to the office to report and seek their advise which they gave and its on record you voluntarily came because you did not want them to see her as intentionally overstaying. Transparency and honesty is what Canada thrives on.They will forgive you for coming out truthful than falsify any thing...they see it as misrepresentation and a failure of integrity test.

PLEASE HOW DOES CANADA RENEWAL OF VISA WORKS, MY MUM WAS DENIED VISA EVEN AFTER SHE HAS TRAVELED BEFORE TO CANADA...
Check what you submitted in this denied application as against the previous application when visa was granted you will see why she was denied. It is rare to see parents who have visited Canada before being denied visa except the application has some defaults or some missing document either from the kids in Canada or from her own end.

My mom has visited Canada before and even had to overstay her 6 months allowable with 3 days because of circumstances beyond her control, i took her to the airport and explained to CBSA why she could not fly that day even though she was expected to leave..CBSA advised on what to do and asked that when she wants to renew her visa we should make sure to attach an explanation letter to why that has to happen without which she may be denied. To renew i did exactly what they asked and attached her changed flight ticket to the application. My mom submitted her passport today 28th Jan for visa to be affixed.

So my point is go back and check all what was submitted and you will find out why she was denied. However you can reapply again.

if you have done bometrics before...lest than 3yrs ago,,then it is still valid for the next 7yrs or 10yrs as the case may be...That tracking ID never works don't bother yourself...don't worry yourself, your application is still within the processing time so just wait..they will always get back to you as it progresses.

Your UCI number is for life...continue using the old UCI...even if you application was rejected in first application but you have a UCI number that number remains your number even if you apply for student visa, work visa and PR visa..it still remains your UCI..the only thing that will always change is your application number.

Transmission Fees/SMS fees for Applicants on Renewal:

Please this is a heads up for some who may be renewing their Canadian Visit Visa soon and are unaware of this fees:

If you are applying for renewal and have done bio-metrics before which is still under 10yrs,you are not expected to go for another bio-metric until the first one expires within 10yrs ...it means you are not required to pay for any bio-metric fees again.

However in place of that, you are expected to pay N8190 for transmission fees and sms text fees. So when you received passport request for your renewal application please be sure to arm yourself with that fees while going to drop off your passport.

Best of luck

Good day house, my friend is applying for Canada temporary visit, and one of the documents to prove she would return is to have a flight ticket departing Canada, she would have done travel itinerary but she is staying with her brother. Is she suppose to buy her flight ticket before leaving? Or how does she prove this?
flight tickets are not proof that you friend will return..flight ticket bookings are mere formalities and is not part of what the case officer is looking out for.

If your friend wants to book a flight to add to his application...he or she should go online to any airline of choice..make the reservation and choose"hold reservation to pay later"..he will get ticket reservation number and code which after 24hrs without payment it cancels out automatically. But then you have a reservation to attach to your application.

Ethiopian Airline is your best bet on this.

Best of luck

Hi everyone in this great platform. My husband and I are seeking for greener pastures. We r on the express entry route but we d scores are blowing up and we have really tried on IELTS. We just want to seek other means. I need sincere answers as I have questions to ask about this visitors Visa. 1. Do we need travel experience to apply fr this visa as we have no travel history at the moment 2. Can we get a work permit with this visa. 3 can we continue our pr application process while on this and also after the visa has been approved 4 what are the benefits of visitors Visa eg are we going to benefit from health insurance and some little benefits before pr comes. We want to try this route cs the only option now is gettn an employment or have an experience in Canada dat will go a long way in boosting our crs scores as we don't have any relative whatsoever. Plz I will like this questions to be answered as it will give us an headway in our plans. Thanks in advance.
I appreciate your honest question and i will do as much as possible to respond to you in a very direct and honest way.

First,I want you to remove the thought of working with visit visa if you apply and get approved. It will not work out for you,Canada is not like many countries like the US where you can work under the table as a visitor, the rules are tight here regarding the type of visit visa you are here with. With Visit Visa you have limitations to what you can access or do...for starters no landlord will rent you an accommodation with visit visa in your arms,no employer will hire you without social insurance number and you can not access any medicals as a visitor...meaning you have a hard time if you chose to remain here as an illegal visitor who has over stayed his visa.Secondly you cant apply for work or change of visa status while on a visitors visa.

secondly,I will advise you to look into provincial nomination program from different provinces..yes you may not have qualified for the federal scheme due to age, education level or work experience but you can leverage on PNP which has more relaxed means to get you into Canada..i know what people are told back home is for them to come in and apply for asylum..i always discourage that because it has 99% chance of being rejected and you see yourself back in Nigeria worse than you started.Truth is a lot of Nigerians on asylum claim dont tell you guys the real stories of what they pass through here with air of uncertainty, they make you believe all is fine and you should also come that way but sooner than you land here than you realize they misled you into diving into this ocean of uncertainty only then will your eyes clear.I guess you guys read everyday of Nigerians given deportation order regardless that some have stayed here for 7yrs to 13yrs...one thing Canada does well is,,they are never in a hurry,Canada can take 13yrs to finish your asylum claim and case and then the result is often negative. But your friends when they want to tell you, they say they already got their PR status which is false..what they got was right to temporarily stay while their hearing is on going but because they are allowed to work, have access to put their kids in school, they tell you they already got PR. Canada will teach you patience..they are never in a hurry.

On your question about Health Insurance...how do you get health insurance on a visitors visa.. i leave that for you to research and answer yourself.

I know some here will ask how true are all what i said...I have been here long to know and a Canadian citizen.

i hope this helped you.

Salford is more than 150% real and right..there is no country you can compare with America..thats a fact.It is so because of the flexibility of opportunities it offers to every one regardless of your academic background so long as you really think like a human being.US encourages all kinds of venture reason Mexicans, eastern Europeans,Africans who do not even have high school education succeed because there are no restrictions to small start up retail shops..so many Nigerians back home done even know that there are road side vulcanizers in New York, road side welders, kabu kabu blowing whistle for you with "Heysss are you going?...with people selling candys and cookies in the subways..with people coming out on the streets with their truck loaded with coconut ans selling to passer by..with guys hawking soda and water on the highway of NYC just like lagos...

etc.

150% more than right..there is no country you can compare with America..thats a fact.It is so because of the flexibility of opportunities it offers to every one regardless of your academic background so long as you really think like a human being.US encourages all kinds of venture reason Mexicans, eastern Europeans,Africans who do not eve have high school education succeed because there are no restrictions to small start up retail shops..so many Nigerians back homt done even know that there are road side vulcanizers in New York, road side welders, kabu kabu blowing whistle for you with "Heysss are you going?...with people selling candys and cookies in the subways..with people coming out on the streets with their truck loaded with coconut ans selling to passer by..with guys hawking soda and water on the highway of NYC just like lagos...

you cant try that in Canada, you need to first be educated in Canada...everything regulated with govt policies ...small street businesses are not encouraged...

what America stands for is why it is called living the American dream...there is no country that is easy to succeed other than America with or without papers.

by the way i am also a Canadian citizen.
